One of my top 5 Rush songs. I remember getting tickets for this tour and then looking up the setlist online. When I saw that they were playing this, I almost fainted!! They hadn't played it since the Grace Under Pressure Tour in '84!! But 30 years was worth the wait!!! Thankfully, they kept it in the setlist for the following tours 'til the end.
This song was a sleeper for decades until they did it live on this tour. It exploded and became a fan fav after the fact. You wanna see something special? React to the Best Intro Ever off of this tour. But you’ll need a good knowledge of the Rush catalogue to fully appreciate it. Great reaction!
That is one thing that frustrates some and delights others is the fact that Rush evolved and changed. How did they follow up Moving Pictures - with Moving Pictures 2? No, with Signals which was very different. They did what interested them and sometimes the fans didn't get it. I didn't get it when it happened. Now I appreciate all of the phases of Rush and am delighted with their whole career and how well the music has all aged. 1st Rush album very straight forward hard rock, evolved into a hardcore Progressive sound, then a little more commercial with Prog elements, then into the keyboard era, then out of the keyboard era and they ended their careers with their 3 heaviest sounding records, including the absolute genius album, Clockwork Angels. Which legitimately could be their best. Hard to believe the same band wrote/composed/played through those phases.
My favorite song from Grace Under Pressure. Another band for you to check out is Volbeat, if you are not familiar, check out Still Counting, Sad Man’s Tongue or Doc Holiday.🔥👍🎧😎
Good to see ya Zew!! Best song on that album... this is right before they got into their synths stuff started to really pick up! I’m more the raw drum, bass and guitars era(s)!! Great to see ya back!! Be well and God Bless.... from Texas!!

Check out the original version from the 1984 Grace Under Pressure album. It's insane, raw and very moving.
For me, the best album closer of all their catalogue. That final Bass drone hanging until Power Ws appeared. Magnificent.

From 1984 Grace Under Pressure. 1 of Alex best solos on and album heavy with keyboards. Always fits the song.
Fabulous!! This is an awesome song!!
ESPECIALLY LIVE!!!! Too bad you didn’t get a chance to experience “an evening with RUSH”!!
