While I appreciate the new spreading disk design, it seems that something like that could be implemented into the T40 as an upgrade. We do much more spreading than spraying operations, having spread over 44,000 lbs of seed last season. We have found the system works well but has some major cavets and I feel that it could use more development attention.
Examples include inaccurate spreading amount that the system doesn't dynamically adjust to compensate for. Example spreading boron recently with the 12-20lb gate at 14lbs per acre we had to actually reduce the "rate" to 9 lbs per acre to get 14lbs per acre. This was after multiple calibrations with the mid-size gate installed, including Weight calibration etc.
Also, more on screen feedback about the rate would help a lot. Currently when we start spreading a new item we have to spread an acre then do RTH to get the summary screen to popup to see what was actually spread. The drone is accurate on the summary screen, it knows exactly what it spread and we have verified that through outside checks. Once we get it dialed in, it is normally very reliable although occasionally there will be anonomlies where it over or underspreads by a large amount. Requiring us to slightly adjust the "rate" to get it to spread the correct amount.
