  • Based upon our own experiences riding long distances we have made the last two years modifications on the bike. We used OEM accesoires and after market modifications as KRIEGA, ACERBIS, SW Motech and more.

Thanks for making this video. I'm also planning a long distance trip on my T7 so making a few upgrades here and there.
I already have a lot of these mods done but going to order the Acerbis tank as I need a little more range. Great video.

Thanks for posting. I install mine tomorrow. I also bought the locking cap but hear they are very problematic. Any thoughts on the locking cap? I am leaning towards using the vented cap it came with. Thanks for any feedback.

With the addition of the Acerbis tank can you use any crash bars or is there a specific crash bar required? Thanks

The Acerbis tank is mounted on the same points as the original and all crash bars are possible to mount on the bike

Have you lowered your folks and fitting the acerbis 23ltr tank will the handle bars be hitting the tank

The fitting of the handguards just touch the Acerbis.

@@OumboukTravelAdventures how are those Daytona heated grips working out? Also there is a handlebar mount plate/bracket, bar risers and front fork components available from Rally Raid in England which is very good, extra mounting locations gives you some flexibility. AltRider makes a Tidy Tail piece with new led turn signals and much lighter also a tail piece luggage rack which sits fairly low but the also have a plate which removes the passenger seat and provides a level mounts place for a cross bag/gear behind the rider. HP Corse exhaust, mounts up and inside the rear bags under the frame. Seat Concepts offer lower and higher seats reasonable. CG I believe offer plastic protection covers for both left and all important right ride engine cases. The right offers great protection for the water pump.

Sam as mentioned in the video we know that there are lot more modifications possible. But this is how we want it and enough for our way of riding. The Daytona grips works great.
