The Acerbis tank looks like a very good solution. Lighter weight, roughly the same external dimensions as the factory unit, and substantially more capacity. Cheers
I installed this yesterday, filled the Acerbis and rode around just a little bit. I am noticing some condensation building on the outsides of the bank - it's vapor and smells of gas. I can't find other people saying this same thing. Is this normal?
Good job. Now a test ride with full tank to evaluate how the top heaviness feels due to the extra fuel. This is issue with Safari Tank if it is full. Use it when you need it. Fuel guage, how accurate is it now, how does it indicate the usage of fuel? Also how well does a tank bag fit? The Acerbis seems to be much the same couture as the OEM tank. Looks great.
@@OumboukTravelAdventures I saw where the Giant Loop tank bag has the front recessed to go over the fuel cap which doesn't pinch down the vent hose. Good setup looks like to me. Much simpler and lighter than the twin tank setup of the new model Raid edition. That setup looks good as it sits lower however the whole setup adds over 15 kg of weight and will require a larger (heavier) protection rack. Safe rides.

Wordt staande positie erdoor bemoeilijkt ?

Hi, if you have a for example a touratech crash bars and you install the new tank. can you use the same crash bars??
We have SW Motech and fits ok. With Touratech i have no experience.
After change of the tank. Did anyone notice a different consumsion of fuel?
I dont know why, but my bike take much less fuel after i switch the tank.

The tank bag fits well. And test ride will folow.

As it's a plastic tank, even with full tank of fuel it is lighter than the standard steel fuel tank.

No still the same. Only thing for sure when starting blinking you have 4 liter left in the tank.
The T7 is already a pretty top heavy bike, does this worsen the situation?
That depends what you ride. Hard enduro not recommend. But long distance travel no problem.
