For every bottle of high-fructose corn syrup he shoots, someone is one bottle further away from type 2 diabetes; he's saving lives here.
haha!
Guns save lives!

Mmm not sure that’s how it works but it sure helps lol
Sugar is sugar, it's all poison.
I was always a glock guy. I told a friend who asked me about the sig. I told him "If they made one weighing less than a brick, polymer, and as cheap as a glock, you bet!" Once I discovered this beauty, it became my permanent carry. First shot on the range, I nailed bullseye at 50 yards. It's eaten everything from tula to federal with zero failures.
IMO the SIG SP2022 is the worlds most underrated pistol.
I've had mine for years now and have never had an issue.
Same here... I love my SP2022 in 9mm.
rickkyross1
I had the same problem... groups were low.
I changed my sights to a #8 front & a #10 rear.
Shots hit exactly behind the front sight dot now.
rickkyross1 Yes, I have the 9mm, not the 40 cal.
rickkyross1
First let me say after looking at my sights again I see the front is a #8 and the rear is a #10. The numbers I gave previously are the stock sizes that come on the 40 cal.
I purchased a Sig Sauer factory original sight kit that came with like 7 different sights of various sizes but I don't recall the place I ordered the kit from.
I know you can call Sig Sauer and order them that way but I also found another place that sells them individually.
www.topgunsupply.com/sig-sauer-sights/
It's nice to have the kit though so you can experiment with the sizes until you come up with a combo that works best.
Hope this helps.
rickkyross1 I am not the best shooter to ask this, Both of my SIGS (SP2022 9mm and P226R 40S&W) are very accurate and seem to shoot where I point them. Sorry I am not any help...
After owning a Sig 226 for many years, the Sig 2022 is just as viable a choice for self protection - regardless of price, polymer frame and popularity - as the Sig 226, and after all is said and done, IT'S STILL A SIG, MAN!
Hey, it's my pistol! Thanks for reviewing this, Hickok!
he threw it on the table like a baseball.
Johnny Doe Don't matter, it's a SIG. You could throw it in a meat grinder and it would still make the boolitz come out.
That's what I'm talking about. A gun is a tool to be used and abused not to show at BBQ's and show off to your friends! The more war scars the better! I throw my $3,000 1911's all over the place!
James Darmody What's a car for? Can it be a work truck? Can it be for commuting? Exhibition? Collection? Aaaah... see what I'm getting at?
what size grip did you have installed?
"I don't shoot it as well..." goes 5 for 5 on the gong.
That's Hickok45 for ya. :)
I dont buy a handgun until ive seen hickok's review of it.
Thats how I was when debating my CCW. Saw a bunch of videos from hickok45, and decided for sure. Been happy ever since.
Nice, and what did you go with? Unfortunately in canuckastan we can only use them at a range. Canada likes to make sure only the criminals can ccw.
Haha, I ended up getting a Glock 27.
Eww nice. Only way we can get one is with an ugly 4+ inch barrel sticking out of it. Picking up a px4 storm this weekend. Obviously I watched his 2 part series on it.
Its the way to go. Good choice by the way. His review is solid for that gun.
After watching hickock45 for so many many years. I only hope he will be around more so I can show my children his videos and with gun safety and gun reviews. And to teach them. Love you buddy. Keep on keeping on.
If you have a sick fascination with mentally ill mass murderers and the various tools they employ, you are at the wrong CZcams channel.
Agreed
I understand teenagers about as well as anybody; I WAS one back in the day, and I taught them for 29 years. Still, some of the brainlessness one sees in comments about sick murderers is a bit over the top and a bit sad. So many folks in the world need something constructive to do. :-)
@@hickok45 yes it’s disgusting
Well said. Hope nobody tries to defend the vile actions taken by that boy days ago.
I never did see it, and it was probably just some troll using his name anyway.
I have a Sig SP2022. It works. Great gun. Not as easy and intuitive as the Glock, but when you get used to it, you realize it's better.
All you have to do with a Glock is load it and fire , basic !!! My 2022 fits my hand perfectly and holds 18 rounds with the Mec Gar plus 2 mags !!!
Jay B so which is better?
And here I was thinking it was better then a glock haha.
@@bj6437 sigs, especially the sp2022, with sig you get the firing pin and a little pin in the slide to tell you if there's a round in the chamber with glock its all guess, no safety at all.
Glocks suck, they’re ugly
Hickok 45 : Have you ever gotten Slide bite by a any Glock. you will never get bitten by a Sig Sauer
The SP2022 in .40 was my first semi-auto firearm and I've never regretted the decision. I agree that they do have a high bore axis and the muzzle flip takes some gettin' used to, but they are indeed accurate. Thanks a bunch for posting another OUTSTANDING video!!!
Y’all have to remember this is a duty war pistol, not really meant for concealment even tho you can conceal it. Got it for my first home defense pistol and it feels solid!
Wars outside everyday
I carry mine everyday!! Won’t leave home with out it! 9mil.
@@shake1602you ain’t lying
Sig 2022 conceals very well with a pancake holster. I also have a Blackhawk Serpa which works good too.
I've the Sig SP2022 chambered for the .40 S&W and I absolutely love it. I changed out the grips and feels great in my smaller hands. I've put nearly 1000 rounds through it with no issues at all.
I actually sold my Glock 19 and purchased a Sig SP2022. I don't regret it at all. My Glock was wonderful and served me well, but in my opinion the Sig is built with higher quality parts, and comes standard with many features that you don't get with a factory Glock. I also prefer having a double action/single action over striker fired. Just my opinion, but I'm glad I made the switch.
I have the Sig P250 sub-compact which is DAO. I was thinking of switching to a DA/SA. I was at a gunshop not too long ago checking the SP2022 out and I noticed that it has a very loose hammer. Did some research and supposedly it's called a rebounding hammer and there's nothing wrong with it. But it just didn't sit well with me. I was wondering does your SP2022 have this same rebounding loose hammer and has it caused any issues for you?
+Almir Alamgir Bey Yes mine does have a rebounding hammer, but mine actually seems to be pretty secure. I've had no issues with it. After putting a few hundred rounds down range with various types of ammunition I've never had any issues. I definitely recommend it if you are considering buying one. (Definitely get the version with night sights. They are the best out-of-the-box night sights I've ever seen)
shane smentek I have one and love it!
What does this video have to do with Glock pistols? Nothing, yet there’s a hundred comments talking about Glock, about how this gun is so much better than Glock, how Glock is heinous looking and yadda yadda.
In every video about a pistol in this channel and others, people talk about Glock and insult it, it really says a lot about how good and successful a product is when people try constantly to talk badly about it when mentioning other products that are similar that they try to promote, to reassure their own choice of pistols. Glock is the standard of polymer pistols, it’s the boss
shane smentek my 40 cal 2022 has thousands of rounds through it and even clean it yet wich I know it needs it and it hasn't let me down yet. My opinion it's the best bang for your buck type of gun for sure
lol, You're my favorite gun channel, hands down. You really really hate Sig's but you are so dang nice that you won't just go full postal on them. As a SIG lover, I appreciate it very much. Keep 'em comin, Hickock!
I don't hate them; in fact, I would not mind having the P226 again. Great shooter, I recall the last video we did with the P226. I wanted to run out and buy one after that. :-) With the 9mm, the high bore axis is not so much an issue.
hickok45
I too hope to own a P226 someday. :) Personally, I couldn't care less about having a high bore axis, or a low bore axis. It's all about how it feels in my hand. To me, Sig's just feel significantly better and much more refined.
hickok45
Did you ever shoot a P226 X-Five or do you consider shooting one? I like it even a little more than the regular P226, I'd love to see a review of that one!
unitedgray
Agreed. Totally. Glocks are too minimalistic in my eyes and i like to have a hammer. Sig rules.
Rett TeamGlidden when you assume Hickok hates sig but he comments back differently lol don’t assume things...
Even in past videos he has talked about how he had sigs in the past and sold them and mainly did competition with Glocks. Doesn’t mean he hates Sigs, the Glocks and other guns just feel better for him
Thank you for protecting us from high fructose corn syrup! I love your videos that start like this, well I love all your videos but the ones that start like this crack me up!
I walked into a gun store, was looking at the glock 42 .380, the guy also showed me this, as soon as I put it in my hand, I just fell in love with it, it came with 3 mags, holster, I don't use that holster, I bought a Blackhawk holster for it, but yea I traded my m&p 9 that day and never looked back, love this gun. Good review, one of the other reasons why I bought it!
That’s funny. Those are the only two guns that I own, the G42 and this SP2022 in 9mm. Still haven’t fired the Sig, but I love how it feels in my hand. Just ordered the 17 round mag from their site 😁
The war on high fructose corn syrup is legendary.
I was a Glock fan til I shot a sig. I love the 2022. like you said it fits my hand very well. thanks for all your videos.
dale smith I've not had that issue. mine is 9mm I shoot the cheap stuff. perfecta and tulammo. no issues yet.
The one time I tried perfecta I had random short stroking with my sp2009, I could definitely feel inconsistency with the recoil from round to round. Figured its not cheap enough to give it a second chance, and its the only 9mm to ever give me problems.
Snakesht172 I have it chambered in 40 SW the only time I had a failure to feed was with perfecta ammo. every magazine I fired, 2-3 of 10 failed to fully seat. I kept those that didn't fully seat. upon closer inspection, the casing on the bullets seemed really grimy and looked as if the casings were sanded with fine grit sand paper. I think it caused resistance on the feed ramp. never had any issues with cheap white box Winchester or tulammo. I use the slide stop to reload. if that makes any difference. never bought Perfecta again... :( going to try it in my shield in 9mm though.
Brandon Davis I've had issues with Remington hollow points. same failure to feed. just less times one to three bullets a box. they came in 250 pack. from all the FTFs I had, my feed ramp got all scratched up, I had to polish it. took the magazines apart and cleaned them up and coated them with light oil. (haven't cleaned them in over 2000 rounds) I'll give them another try.
I bought my dad an SP2022, shot a couple mags and immediately sold my glock 19 to get my own. I found a barely used one online for only $300.
Sig SP2022 ROCKS..! Got mine one year ago. I Prefer it to my Gen II/ G19. The SIG is more ergonomic and more accurate for me.
Just a quick note. He's having to shoot high because Sigs are combat sighted. That means that the CENTER of your front sight needs to be lined up on center mass as opposed to pig on the post type sighting where you line up the TOP of your front sight on center mass. Nice review I have recently gotten an SP2022 as well & enjoy it so far.
tank0211 thinking of this sig. I just bought a p230 full size in .40 . what grips did you get medium or large?
tank0211
I find myself saying this all the time watching gun videos. Sig and a few others use this once you get used to it it makes so much sense.
Wouldn’t that make him shoot low?
@@cameronmccoy5051 No; if he's used to holding the sights under the target with a Glock, the same hold would cause him to hit low with a SIG. So in order to hit the target, he has to hold "high" compared to what he's used to.
This is the most respectful video I've ever seen of someone saying "I don't like this gun"
Lol hes sponsored by glock but what's your opinion on the sp2022?
@@jdmtein1704 haven't shot one yet but I've seen it in store and held it, its smaller gun than what I'm used to but it feels good and I'm a big fan of polymer frames
From what I've seen on CZcams it's appears very accurate and fun to shoot
I'm actually going to purchase one on the 28th this month ( soonest I can get one thanks to corona virus craze) once I've shot it, I'll update you here
Also my favorite handgun is the Glock 20sf 10mm, it fits my hands perfectly and I'm able to get great accuracy despite the recoil
I've had mine for a number of years. Has never let me down. Super accurate and balanced.
Hey Hickok! Thanks for this review! I've recently purchased a sig sp2022 in 9x19...for carry. Personally,I like the high bore access and the DA/SA option...I'm a fan of a hammer vs. striker fire firearm... Personal choice. Also, I'm big like you and DO use the large grip...the problem for me is that the G19 causes rail burn. Like you, I'd never knock a Glock. The are as reliable as they come and deserve their place at the top. At the time of my purchase, the vendor had the G19 & the SP2022 ... FOR ME the sig was perfect. Paid just over 500 because I purchased extra magazines. Anyway, TYVM for all you do for the shooting sports. This comment is nothing more than my experience and $.02. Keep up the awesome work. -Ben E.
I just placed an order for my sp2022 with night sights today and cannot wait to get my hands on it. My first handgun I will own.
Mathew Festoff Just got it and I am in love. Love the DA/SA option. Feels perfect in my hands and shoots like a dream for half the price of a 226. Shooting better with the 2022 than I did with a 226
Mathew Festoff Just got mine last month on sale for $400 with 2 mags and regular 3 dot sights. I bought it just to have a 9mm around since I shoot mostly .40. I love this pistol - breakdown is different but not bad after a couple of times. I have no trouble with the trigger that Hickok did. Better than some of the higher priced guns I have bought.
+Scott Smith Where?
My first handgun two bought it back in may and It feels great one of my favorite handguns to shoot
How do you like it?
Way back in November 2008 I was feeling a little down in the dumps, so I stopped by the local gun store to look around. I came across a 2022 in .40 and loved how it felt. Took it home and don't regret it one bit. Dead accurate and never so much as a hiccup after all these years. Fantastic gun for the money for sure.
Had my eye on this for the past little while. Criminally underrated offering from Sig, refined and solid DA/SA piece.
Damn you Hickok..... Just went and bought one. Love it.
Fantastic gun!! Great that we have so many firearms to choose from. Metal frame, polymer frame, DA/SA, Striker fired, SAO, DAO, compact, full size, duty size, carry size...
Life is good!
Thank you Hickok45 and John for all the great videos, they are very useful and extremely informative. And thank you for all the friendly content and language and lots of humor. This channel is very user friendly..Keep up all the Good work guys and Keep shooting.
Owned this gun for a few months now, put maybe 600-700 rounds through it with no issues whatsoever. It's a really great gun, super accurate! Bought the tac pac on sale for $500
Hickok45....I could easily see you cast in the next big Hollywood action movie or sitting behind a desk as an elected official......the man is versatile! Keep up the great work, Sir!
THANK YOU for doing the REVIEW!!! I have 2 SIGS the SP2022 and a P226 I love them both. But The SP2022 is my First 9mm Pistol, it is a good conceal carry piece for me.
the single action trigger on a sig will beat a glock trigger pull any day - to me that trumps having every trigger pull "the same" - just a matter of training
Official gun used by French law enforcement. One of the Paris terrorist and Nice's truck driver were shot with that gun.
Jeremy .V you could say its a "Truck gun"...
Alex Boswell oh lord
Same here for the Colombian law enforcement(Policia nacional de Colombia)
And some Mexican Special Forces units use them too
Alot of cops in Illinois use them to.
That's my gun. I paid $350 for mine. It was a lot cheaper than the flocks and I been in love with it ever since.
We chose it (in France) for its many safety devices. It equips police, gendarmes and customs.
TheGameLecturer because officers are under trained.
Sufficient and quality training is the only real security
It's cheap. I bet that's the major reason.
@@Obelisk57 Not only that. SP series is esentially as much SIG, as you can get in a polymer frame handgun...
@@tinderexperience8869 What a pompous reply...
Just brought one @ 200 from friend with 3 mags and kydex holster life is good indeed
Functions great, clean everything even hammer springs, polished feed ramp didn't need to but it's a thing I like to do, helps with failures. But yes a steal indeed. Came with night sights too. Thanks for commenting 😁
Definitely considering buying this weapon. It will be my first handgun and personal firearm.
You will love the sig p2022 i have both G19 & the sig , i love both guns
I loves mines
This is the best pistol I have ever owned
I love it and trust it with my life.
I would suggest polishing the feeder ramp.
I do this to all my pistols.
After doing this it will run the cheapest ammo I could find without any issue at all. 0 failure at all with this weapon
I just purchased a two-tone model for $389 shipped from PSA. I jumped on the deal after viewing this video.
$300 bucks, 5000 rds,no failures, bought used wtf.....
Bought mine new 449.00

Kabian Phoenix I own a 2022 I really like mine it’s alot lighter then my 226 . But my 226 mk 25 is my favorite. Either way it’s a solid hand gun
@@garrettboykin9855 perfect. Thank you.
Have had mine for a few months now, and I love it! My primary range gun, and have made it one of my primary home defense weapons. This gun is solid, had a few feeding issues at first, then after dis-assembly, and running snap caps through it, runs perfectly now. 100 rounds and not one issue. Thank you for another honest, thorough review.
My first firearm. Bought it 3 years ago. I’ve put close to 1000 rounds through it and not a single issue. Love it.
Just bought one! Beautiful action and fits my hand like a glove. Extremely similar to my buddy's legion, it's just polymer. Accurate right out of the box! Thanks for the review on this!
FWIW, I got mine for $420 after tax and fees in July of 2012. 2700+ rounds and still going strong.
8 year old video but still enjoy watching the Great hickok45! Love my SP2022 and have all of the options to switch from 40SW to 357Sig to 9mm.
I used to carry a P229 and a Glock 22. I've been carrying this for almost six months now. It did take some getting used to. It's not like my P229. Would I rather carry a G19 gen 4? Absolutely, but there's a certain trust built with the 2022 that it's hard to let go. It's very accurate, I know the gun goes bang, and it really handles a weapon light well. I've had problems with my Glock 22.
Reliability is what I can attest to the 2022. It's definitely one of the best out there. It's not the most comfortable CCW weapon, but if I needed to defend my life. The 2022 I would go to without question.
Don't pass up the opportunity to get one of these. I know the craze now is the P320. But the P320 doesn't have the charm that the SP2022 has.
In all my years of handgunning, my only 9mm was a Colt Commander. When I got one of these a couple years ago, it was a learning curve. But after becoming familiar with it, it's wonderful. Exceeds my expectations.
This is the first pistol I purchased after leaving the Army. It is an EXCELLENT DA/SA pistol, and holds true to SIG accuracy and reliability! The only negative I can think of is the price of the magazines. I carried an M-11 (P228) for a little while and the SP 2022 is every bit on par with it. The polymer frame actually makes this pistol much more pleasant to carry than the M-11. This is my EDC, and on a quality leather gun belt you barely notice it. We also have, in our house, a Glock 19 and a CZ 75 SP-01. I prefer carrying the SIG over both of them! That said if the CZ wasn't 3lbs it would be my EDC as it is hands down the best pistol I have ever handled! If you are on the fence about buying the 2022, jump off and buy it already, because those of us that own it are not joking when we say this is a $440 P-226!
Greatly appreciate your pros and cons of the firearm in the videos. I have this sig, and once I got familiar with it I really like it. I too have a large hand and using the larger grips makes all the difference.
I thoroughly enjoy all your videos that I have seen. It has educated me and helped me in choosing some firearms. Keep up the outstanding work.
Thank you for the great review as always. I love my Sig 2022 hopefuly 226 is next.🍺
Been wanting a Sig for some time. Looked at this gun at Cabelas recently and liked the feel of it. The positive reviews I've been seeing have made up my mind; I'm going to go back and get it. Thanks for yet another informative and in depth review.
Grips come in large (the vid shows med.) and X-large overmold rubber. I have 5 of these paid
There have been a few revisions of this. The newer ones do not have that chambered round indicator and the trigger is better. One thing not mentioned was that this was designed for use with or without gloves on hince the large trigger guard. Shooting other guns with thick gloves on isnt near as comfortable as with the SP2022. Good review but I wish you'd had the newer version and one in .40 S&W. IMO it shines in the .40 version.
About 2 years ago I made the switch to a Sig sp2022 chambered in 40S&W from a Sig P220 for my duty gun. We carry concealed and of course the weight difference between a Sp2022 and a P220 is very noticeable, not to mention welcome. The weapon is accurate and reliable. The SP2022 is often referred to as the Forgotten Sig. But as it is now 2018 more and more people are starting to see this sig as a most viable option.
Indeed.
Sig Sauer sp2022 blows away blocks 😃total Sig fan boy here 😉
Thanks hickok45. Your reviews are very informative and on point. I enjoy watching your reviews.
Great Video! I purchased the .40 version about 2yrs ago and use it for both home defense and occasionally carry it as a duty firearm. Excellent firearm and certainly one of my favorites. It's just fun to shoot!
I've had my SP2022 for 3 years. The DASA trigger and decocker make it extra safe to handle and carry. The higher bore axis eliminates slide bite. 17 round mags available. I like the feel of it better than the Sig P226.
"Oh no high fructose corn syrup" made me laugh so hard I actually had to step back for a couple seconds lol.
Thanks for doing this review. This was my first gun and I always love seeing what others have to say about it.
I really appreciate your love for firearms. Your detailed videos have helped me select my next gun. Just bought this today
Great videos with great information. I own that model sig and love it. It is a bit heavy for its size but does help with recoil. It's my every day carrier and has been absolutely reliable. For $509.00 I couldn't complain . keep up the great work!
This was my first semi-auto. And the more semis I buy the more I like the 2022. If you are not married to a striker fire, this is really an awesome pistol.
I love all of your videos! So nice to have an honest man tell the truths!
Really wanted a sig but not a $1000 price tag. Saw this gun in 9 and 40 for around $450. Got the 40 and absolutely love it. This gun makes more trips with me to the range than anyother ones I own.
+J Muhr Me too! I found a .40 for $450 and snatched it up. I fired about 200 rounds over the weekend and love it!
I like how hes starts with the I cant shoot this gun... perfect shots.. this guy!
Love your vids Sir.
I really really love ya for this hickok45. I asked you to do this review because this is a great gun from sig and its the one I have and carry everyday, and I wanted the world to know just how great this gun is. Thanks again hickok45
He said it’s the poor man’s P226 lmaooo😂
"Oh no high fructose corn syrup", Thanks for spreading smiles this morning.
Good tip on the double to single action. I would like to hear more about the pros and cons. Also, striker vs. hammer. To me, the decock is a brilliant safety feature.
I was comparing these exact same two handguns. I liked the sig due to the extended buttons as well as the mags being spring assisted to pop out. The high bore doesn't pinch my hands too.
I really appreciate videos where you mention your criticisms of the gun, you don't bash it, but you do bring up legit criticism and that really helps those of us who are thinking about buying the pistol you review. Thank you for that and please keep the vids coming!
Hicock45 is America in person!
Your a lucky guy to have anyone supplying ammo. Id love to have a place to shoot like your too!
love how he tosses the gun on the bench ..lol
8 years later..bought a used 2022 today for $600. Put a few mags through it. I like it.
I've had this firearm for a few years and I love it. Functions flawlessly and chews through everything i feed it. I wondered when Hickok would get a hold of one!
I've been very happy with my new FN FNS-40. Awesome pistol. Hickok reviewed the 9mm version not long ago.
Don’t let the price fool you, but the sp 2022 is a really fine gun. I have the 40 sw and nothing has broke on it. It’s not sexy like the 226, but it’s really a work horse! It has fewer parts than the 226. It has some resemblance to the cz75 in reference for it’s take down. This is undeniably a reliable firearm.as far as accuracy, it’s all about the shooter’s proficiency level. Btw, I have the p226 also, and I wish the mags were inter-changeable.
Hickok45 has the best CZcams channel. His presentation is second to none and I like his humor. Once hickok45 does a gun review you will know whether or not that firearm is for you
I love my Sig SP2022. It's a great pistol. I've had it for almost ten years now and it has never let me down.
This was the first gun I used in a competition stage. It could shoot better than the human behind it. It still served me well. Of all things the white front sight against steel targets painted white in 104 F heat made it hard sometimes to see the front sight well. Of course old eyes are an issue too!
Mine has been great, I trust it. Bought it after a lot of deliberation. There are upgrades you can make and still be under the price that other models go for. To each their own, I see nothing but positive reviews on here. Thank you Sig and of course Mr. Hickok, would love some 20 round mags. I think for CA gun owners/enthusiasts there is a big demand for this lower priced polymer framed Sig. Possibly best in class if not runner up.
Good job Hickok on your reviews..thanks
I've been waiting for this review for so long.
With respect to the Sig 226, I’ve owned a 2022 for years and it's lighter, more comfortable, and the de-cocker is smoother. The bore axis is a non-issue. I consider the “heavy” double action trigger a safety feature when carrying one in the pipe. The single action trigger is smooth and consistent. The 2022 is a far better gun than many others in its’ price segment. Mine has a stainless slide and looks expensive, always gets attention at the range.
Does it take 226 magazines
@@bigreiss1 no it does not take the 226 mags. Cheapest place to find factory mags is on EBay.
I also have the stainless slide, and it came with a factory laser, for 419 out the door back in 2014. Not one FTE, FTL, stove pipe, thousands of rounds of every brand of 9 mm.
About the time I bought one of these my buddy bought a glock19, we tookem out and shot both. I was more accurate with the glock! I blame bore axis for that. But the sig looks a lot cooler..lol
Sp2022 doesn’t even come close to the quality and performance of the 226.
One is a reliable work horse and a actual work of art.
The other is just a really good DA/SA polymer framed gun.
Both sigs. Both quality.
One is just on a whole different level.
This gun is more akin to a SIG P229 than a P226. Size close to a Glock G19.
No. It shoots 40 just like my p226 40. Nothing comes close to my p229 in 40. It's closer in length to the 226 as well.
Love your videos, I feel like i know you! I have an SP2022, and its my EDC. I got two grips with mine, and was told the larger one was installed. Couldn't tell by looking, and I had the same problem as you. I was pulling the trigger between the joints in my finger and it wasn't accurate that way. Changed out the grip and the one in the box was larger. It made a world of difference! My plan was to own this one until I could save up, or find a reasonably priced used P226, But after getting used to this piece, I don't know that I need anything else. The elevation problem that you were having is common. Sig factory sights them in a " combat " configuration. That is to say, you are to cover the target with the front blade, instead of holding target at the top of the blade. It is supposed to be a more effective close range setup. Just took some getting used to. Keep up the good work brother!
Very informative and in detail. I was thinking about buying it when I was at the range. I gonna get it for sure. thanks bud!
"Oh no high fructose corn syrup." ...Today's a great day.
Price to day...659.00...July 15 2022
My Dad just gave me one that he’s had for years. He had the Sig shop polish the feed ramp and do a whole bunch of work to it. He’s ran it for years and never, ever had an issue with it. It’s in .40 and it shoots like a dream. Hell of a present and I think I like it more than my 226 for whatever reason.
It does come with another grip insert. Never installed it because the one it came with works well for me.
It is an excellent pistol...
I own them all, Glocks (3) Sigs (4) Berettas (7) and i like them all.
I went for my nightly walk in the woods with my Dog tonight, it's my exercise routine, guess which Gun i had on Me , my Sig pro 2009. Thats how much confidence i have in that Gun.
Glocks are great but they do not fit my hand or point well for me. For the people new to firearms never buy a gun because it is inexpensive , buy a gun because it fits you well and YOU shoot it well.
Raymond Dillon lucky you that you can go in the woods with a gun, we can't here in europe... :(
I am the opposite I love the feel and mechanics of Sig's, but the grip angle doesn't allow me to shoot my p226 .357 as well at speed as Glock (21&17) or s&w.
Raymond Dillon
Excellent point; if a gun doesn't feel good in your hand you won't want to shoot it... especially if you have other guns to choose from.
I bought a gun because it was cheap. It was my only one for a year. I sold it for almost what I payed, and got something I like (sp2022). Less than another year later, I own another that I love (p938), and 2 that I’m looking to sell. Nothing wrong w getting something because it’s cheap. You get to have a gun instead of not having one. You learn what you like and don’t like. And they maintain value well.
So glad to see this video! I have the SP2022 in .40, and I love it!
Thinking about getting one of these. I always love watching these videos to educate myself a bit before I think about a new carry firearm.
It’s a great firearm!!! I’ve had mine for about 7 years. It’s a great shooter!!!
Of all the guns I've owned and shot, I was most accurate with the SP 2022. Love the sights and grip, and the trigger in single action is super smooth. Also, of course, it's built like a tank.
