They are phenomenal guns! In 1999 I bought the original SP2340 in 357sig and got hook. I own now 6 or 7 of them in all calibers, color variation and generation.

Good points about the appendix carry added safety. SP2022 is one of my oldest pistols and I still really like it, especially with Olight laser/light.

The SP2022 can also be held in a normal right handed "human" fashion while slowly pulling the slide back & at the same time pushing on the slide lock/release button with your trigger finger to remove the slide lock/release . It will pop right out with no monkey business needed at all 😂 Very nice gun.
It is an overlooked firearm that had a bad reputation, for no good reason. It just got compared to the 200 series, which is not fair. The 200is great for different reasons, which is not fair to compare the 2022 to it.

I own two of the cheapest sigs they made being the SP2022 and the P225/P6 and after several rounds through both and not a single malfunction all I can say is don't let the price fool ya they are made to the same quality standards that all other Sig Sauer products are don't hesitate to get either if you find them at great price.

I felt the same way. I have warmed up some, but I still carry iron sights
I didn’t either until I added one to my p365 now I won’t buy a gun if it’s not red dot ready. All my other guns are iron sights I don’t mind using them I enjoy switching back and fourth but any new guns I buy will need to be ready to accept red dot sights
