Always want to see how people dissemble this z900rs the engine form a to z and also assembling it back.maybe done some head porting and polishing along the way.if this channel does it.then this channel would be the first to do this.
Mr. Green has been sold, and thats allot of work unless your planning to sell the products or offer the service. Cheers Dale
Lookin good and quite a decent hp gain possible from removing the butterflies! Will have to wait and see. Thanks again for your efforts!
There is power in there trust me Craig, we will just need to find out how much. No matter what I will be down 2 to 3 HP from my last dyno room at 100 feet above sea level. Oh Well it is what it is ! Thanks Dale
Thanks for sharing your modifications and techniques. I removed the white sticker off the cowl and tail section after watching your video. It always reminded me of Nemo the clown fish. I had my ECU re-programmed by Ivan's Performance, modified my airbox by cutting off the divider and installed Delkevic header, what a blast to ride.
Wow nice detailed video, thank you!
Thank you Dave. And it looks very sanitized. Perfection ☕
Thank you Alan , Dale
Even with the ECM reprogrammed to have the secondary throttle blades open 100% at wide open throttle, the throttle response suffers due to the slow speed the actuator motor. That is why it is a must to remove the blades. Nice work !!
I think set up right its a little give and take honestly. But I do what I do, and as you know was the first to remove them with the 1250. I also like the idea of not touching the ECU if possible, and being total reversible right in your garage of desired. We will see how it works out in a couple weeks. Cheers D
Loving the content on mr green! Would love to see a before and after dyno results of an unmodified air box to modified if possible.
Nope, it needs more air flow, Its pretty restrictive and has a relatively small air filter. I plan to do what I normally do, but this air box looks like it needs a bit more. I'm busy this week and have doctor appointments. Cancer check up and ankle, What a ride ! I hope to get back on it next weekend. Cheers DW
Hi Dale, hope you are doing well
I had a 1200 Kat a few years ago, now I’ve got a 1250 Bandit
Love this bike.
I can’t wait to do the bolt on power upgrade,
but I go out to discussion forums, and the level of confusion about exactly what and how is opaque at best
Call or e mail me any questions, I have years of Bandit 1250 tuning under my belt with a proven combination. Over 8000 Dyno pulls and years of road testing > Cheers Dale

hi dale ,, great videos mate ,,, so can i remove the butterflys and gain horsepower and no need too re tune the bike ?
Not a good idea Andrew, you would really want a matching tune and a bit more air flow. Cheers Dale
Enough to make me want to buy one! Hmmm, 🤔 question is will I like it more than my modded ZRX1100?
Hard call Chris ? For me the new bike is superior > handling, lighter weight and looks that are so nice. Also the fit and finish is right up there at the top, with a few others. Your ZRX set up right will always have more TQ with the bigger motor, but the Z900RS has potential, and its not slow. Hope to get Part 2 Tune Video up tonight. Cheers DW
Same here!
My local police department knocked on my door just for watching this video and thinking about doing these mods 😂
Nice work and very good example on how to do this. You think your local Kawasaski dealer would perform this mod?
Ha Ha > good one Bryan. Not sure, most dealers need to be very careful these days. If you have a buddy that tinkers with cars that knows what he's doing, you can to this. My videos will show you every step, and I pre set my tuners for every customer > FOR YOUR TRACK BIKE ! Cheers DW
I shared your channel with the Kawaski z900rs owners group on Facebook. m.facebook.com/groups/134518180533191/permalink/773256213326048/
@@bryanjohnson665 Thanks Bryan, I appreciate that... DW
I have a 2023 Z900. Is it worth doing this mod to the Z900?
That would be a big time yes Chris. Check out my Z900 play list, but watch this video first all the way to the end czcams.com/video/Z_g9wqC5zXQ/video.html Cheers Dale
