I have the same bike and the Scorpion Red Power slip-on. I need a damper, nearly lost the bike, hitting a bump @ 90 plus Mph, death wobble, scary sh*t. Keep up the good work and may the bike Gods keep you safe.

Is it feasable that its not a true drag bike like the zx 14 due to being to light and cant hook up? My concourse 14 pulled a high ten second stock with the bags on it? no 147 mph but like 120ish somewhere.

Dale, it's so great to see you're still plugging away. I'm about the same age as you, but I hadn't heard of you being active in quite a while. I stumbled upon your videos after just buying the identical bike. I rode 1st and 2nd Gen V-Max's, built of course by Jon Cornell (we really miss you Jon). I fell in love with the ZX-14R, but I wanted something a little more upright as I get older. Other than a few bolt-ons, I'm going to leave my ECU stock for now, for warranty reasons. I thought seriously about it, and contacted Chris Moore but never heard back from him. I'd love to hear your input on the steering damper, I've seen some videos where they kind of show one is necessary exactly for the reasons you outline. I'd also love to hear your thoughts on the Power Bronze wind screen as far as head buffeting in everyday riding. It's about the best looking tallish screen I've seen.

Hey, I have the same bike, and bought it to take it to the drag strip. The 2 strips I go to are 1/8th mile (surely not a strong-point for a bike that likes to wheelie). I'm thinking the brock's bolt on swing-arm extensions and an ECU re-flash is probably the best money to invest in the quest for lowest ets and of course practice / seat time? Anyways it's cool to see someone with the same bike as me with similar goals, the best of luck to you, and stay safe sir!

I have a 2023 Z900RS and the plug you used is red on this bike, but is a smaller connector than the one on the OBD adapter. At this point, I'm not sure what to do. If the red plug is the new adapter, I don't have a cable for it. I do have the other adapter that is supposed to be for ABS, and did try that as well, but the scanner doesn't find the engine. EDIT I searched for this plug, and found that it's a EURO 5 diagnostic plug and it is red. This means I have to get myself this adapter from Euro 5 to OBD2, they are available, but it looks like I will be out another $30 or so. This has been in use since 2021. I don't know if this is on American bikes too, but my bike is Canadian and they often sell us the Euro versions.

Glad you're back and feeling well - but sorry to hear you're retiring. Will anybody be taking over the business? I cannot imagine a world without your well-engineered kits for all my older Suzukis. Bought your pipe, twin oval filters, Stage II jet kit and 5 degree advancer for my 1999 1200 Bandit S, and the difference was night and day.

Could i just add a 2in spacer in the back and raise the torsion bars on my 99 Amigo without fabrication to get a "2in" lift? i have the front dodge leveling spacers.

I am so bummed knowing i can't build my Bandit with parts sourced from you. The 1216 Bandit i built using your Bandit was simply a beast! I loved that bike. The day i went to sell it the bike blew oil and gas all over me. Little did i know it was just the petcock i thought my floats stuck! Dropped the price by $700

I had a two wheel drive one back in 2002. Still remember that thing fondly. Left the top off of it all the time and had a Great Dane that loved riding in it with the top off. Didn’t have a back seat. Just the bed.

That is so awesome to here you are back! We talked when you first got cancer. I have a 2003 Suzuki Bandit 1200 under 10k miles. I like you to make it into a beast. I am a MMI Graduate have worked for a few legends of motorcycling John and Jack Penton, and George Roeder. Also in my hometown was BSA and Norton legend Richard Dick Dickinson. I'm going to call you tomorrow i am bummed to here you are retiring. I'm on my fifth bandit 1200 2 of them were loaded with Dale Walker parts!

Hey Dale! I have the exact same bike, and am wondering if you can guide me in removing the ECU for a reflash? Nobody on CZcams has offered anything up, unfortunately. I thought I heard there was an easier way to do it without pulling the whole front end/headlight off, but maybe not? Would appreciate any help you could possibly offer.....Glad you're feeling better!!!
