    This band was amazing, to say the least and Francis Dunnery should be ranked among the most talented and skilled guitarists around, no kidding; he's a monster!

    I've followed this band since their debut album. Incredible live act. Hearing them perform Old Man & the Angel live, ranks as one of my best and most memourable live music experiences.

      Such a good song. My favorite song of theirs live was screaming on the beaches. When the crowd sings along it’s amazing.

    I first heard this band with 'Calling all the heroes' back in 1986 , I then bought 'The big lad in the windmill' album - A fascinating band that was and still is unique in it's style, being pigeonholed as 'Progressive pop'. Absolutely love them! So much better than the horrid garbage shoved down your throats these days!

      Thanks so much for your music guys I got turn on to you with the album Once around the world, since which I've tried to find your music where ever I could find it. I do think your original line-up should reform and give your army of loyal fans the fantastic music we all love so much.Get back together, thats an order and it wouldn't bite at all.
      My fave live show is Tokyo '89.
      Once again thanks.

    I saw them in the Marquee Club in London mid 80's. And in the T&C. They were excellent ... and boy did they know it .... I found them to be an inspiring band great melodies .. each of the 4 were very proficient and as a band they were solid and tight.
    They had a fantastic following .... why wasn't it reflected in sales and exposure???
    I was in awe of them ...... They were the dogs 'dangly-bits' without doubt.....

    Shame bits are out of sync but.....at least they looked like they enjoyed playing ..someone says they were good and they knew it..nothing wrong with that as long as they proved it..I loved Nick Kershaws changes but It Bites were full of em..I had a dx mk1...great machine, but this one sounds amazing, programming of course..plug in cartridges too..

      @BUZZELLIOTT  Před 5 lety +2

      Hi Keith, sorry about the out of sync', I transferred these old clips from VHS to digital and for some reason a few areas went out a bit, still nice to look back though, back in the day t It Bites were one of the tightest bands I've ever seen with crystal clear live sound.

    • @MrKeeft1
      @MrKeeft1 Před 5 lety +1

      @@BUZZELLIOTT Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed it thanks, no calling out the heroes but the over all sound great...have you seem the pub unplugged version..looks like the keys player but guitarist with short dark hair..its on the menu for the song..says it bites but the singer guitarist is younger..so I`m guessing as there was no info it WAS the keysman on just the Roland on piano..but they DO calling..bit mucking about but its there, playing the bass line with his left hand AND the solo too..impressive SO THANKS for that. the live Tokyo concert is good, long hair but they STILL enjoyed themselves..

    Seems an important part of the dedicated followers of this truly underrated band were kiddies :0) Very catchy tunes, a tight formation, nice close harmonies, and a frontman with a very specific "hook" in his vocals, giving the band a seperate sound. Too bad the sales were but so so.

    Never saw them until 2010 at the sage gateshead never been so peed off at a gig. The band cone on wearing weird suits and no calling all the heros or kiss like judas, 2 tunes that got me into the band. Thank the lord a year later at a gig in manchester they opened up with cath and next was kiss like judas followed by some new material that was not too long. Pity the band are on a long hiatus. Getting there recent live boxset has got my intrest in them going again

    Great band , Went to see them at Preston Guild Hall in 87 and the ticket sales where so low there was a stage set up in bar room area where you have a drink or 3 before you go into the Hall itself , There can't have been more than 300 folk there...sad really as they did a brilliant gig,
