Saw them so many times. The greatest band to dance to. They came to Denbigh and played at the town hall! With a sprung floor that rocked! Got a tape of the show which I (and my kids) treasure to this day. Thank you Slosh. Good Times, never forgotten! Robbie, Gwylan and Tristan, and their mum, of course. XXX

RIP Shanks,...he died in 1981,..one year after this film was made . Made in two parts, this really is a very valuable, historical tribute to Workington AFC.

Very sadly, the lady you see here...Joan Crellan sadly passed away in January, 2024. She was taken ill at a home game the day before. RIP Jean, Workington Super Fan.

I'm sure one of the band members of Humble Pie was a Cumbrian lad ?. Maybe the bass player, I'm not sure. I would have LOVED to have been there at this gig tho, but sadly I was still in my 3rd year of high school in 1989, and my pocket money wouldn't even have covered the train fare up from Wigan. I have loved Steve Marriot tho growing up over the years. RIP to a very talented genius who was sadly taken to soon.

Saw the Pie quite a few times, both with Frampton & Clem. Had tix to see Steve in November 1987 in a club out on Long Island. A buddy popped down from Connecticut, so I called Hammerheads was it? & asked if there were any more tix. The dude said the show was cancelled because somebody in the band couldn't clear Customs. Sounds like I missed a great show.

I knew Don and Glyn quite well in the late 60's early 70's. They had a band called Morning Dew along with Duck Hannah on drums and Tucker Greers on guitar. Ozzy was a fixture up in West Cumberland in those days. A friend of mine from Egremont worked as his PA for a couple of years.

I saw You Slosh in Leeds back in the day, they were great! 😊 There was another great band called 'Lizzy Wouldn't Like It' doing the rounds at the same time, but I can't find anything about them, they had a great saxophonist.
