I love that there is a video about this. Too often, as you stated, people are intimidated by good eye contact. Recently I've been working on an issue I have when Socializing.
I feel like I make people feel uncomfortable with my eye contact pattern.
I consider myself a very confident person. When I am listening to you, I want to look at your eyes nearly uninterruptedly. However I notice that people start looking at my eyes more times, but for shorter periods.
When I notice they do it twice I start looking away, pretty much not making eye contact. But when I do that, they start looking at my eyes more times and for periods longer than they were in the first place. I really dislike this situation.
I feel like a moron, a trust unworthy person and I feel that I intimidate whoever I talk to.
Recently I've been devoting to learn Body Language and Intimacy + Socializing in general. And I'm trying to find out if whether or not they do that because I over-arouse them or if it is part of a transition from shallow to deep and more arousing interactions.
