"I'm not a hoarder, it's just hard for me to throw things away"
Spoken like a true hoarder XD
"I'm not a thief, it's just hard for me to not take people's stuff without permission"
That is practically most the definition of a hoarder.
My exact thoughts when he said that. Says every hoarder ever
I have some hoarding tendencies (they're under control thankfully, thanks to therapy and medication) and many people don't realize that you don't have to live somewhere that's filled to the brim with literal garbage everywhere to be a hoarder. In most people, it's a lot more subtle than that.
I feel sorry for the guy.
like when Peter Griffin said "I'm not addicted to smoking, I just need a couple every hour or so, so I don't go completely insane"
Gordon is not rude, he is just brutally honest.
today someone commented i should delete all videos :( people can be so mean. but i dont care. i know im the best. i never give up. i am age 80+ and will never stop. thanks for caring, dear sou
*Honest, but Spicy.*
He's both, but it makes for good TV.
Ive seen a lot of Kitchen Nightmares and Hotel Hell (as we all probably, you never get out of this XD) and can definitely say that he is rude. Not here, but ive seen him a few times make fun of people personally (calling a guy out for beein fat, etc)
You can be brutally honest and not rude, Gordon is extremely rude and insensitive even though some of these people deserve it, some of them absolutely do not😅 like on Hell’s Kitchen when someone messes up an order he screams at them like they’ve killed someone when in reality it’s a 2 minute setback at most 😂
"You cleaned before I got here...."
The moment of his mental breakdown.
LMFAO HAD ME DYINGGG
SHIT
i know gordon’s screaming madman persona is mostly just a character, but 27:55 is as genuine a reaction as i’ve ever heard
it's funny guy cleaned for 5 days n it's still this dirty
I always wonder how filthy these people's homes are. 🤢
"Here's your card, THE JOKER, how fitting is that"
Burst out laughing😂😂😂😂😂
And of course he pockets the card immediately!!! 😀🍻🍺😀
his jokes absolutely amazing
I about spit out my food from laughing when he said that lmao😂😂
Best line in Kitchen Nightmares 🐐🐐🐐
I love how playful he is with waiters. He knows it’s not their fault and they are actually allies in this.
True
why do people comment this exact comment on every single video
why would he be mad with the waiters? Of course they're not at fault.
@@user-ns9mh3xy6r idk
but I love it
as a waiter that receives shit sometimes about food
it's nice to see someone supporting us
@@hisdness1 To be fair, in this episode he's especially playful
The horror in Gordon's eyes when the owner said he cleaned the restaurant for 5 days before Gordon arrived...that's one hundred percent true human horror...
How did they pass a health inspection? Was the inspector fired and never replaced ?
@@KaiserAfini how much where they in debt? That's how much they paid the "inspector" ...
Here a whole Hotel would be shutdown for a third of dirt the kitchens in this series have. Its a miracle they dont kill more people with all the filth and cross contamination.
@@KaiserAfini a couple of portraits of good ol ben franklin in his pocket surely helped.
Sincerely hoping that by “cleaning” he meant that he wandered around with a vacuum and duster like a lost kitten poking at random areas of the restaurant… bc if he did clean then this place needs to be burned down.
SHIT whAt ThE FUcK
"I don't think I'm a horder, I just struggle with throwing things away" That's exactly what a horder is 😭

9:52 "And the flies are landing on me as opposed to the shrimp." That cracked me up 🤣🤣🤣
Lmaoooooo
🤭😆🤣😂😝
Flies are like "Finally some good fucking food!"
Me: _Eating my microwaved food_
Also me: *Tell 'em Chef!*
Everyone's had a taste of chef Mike. 😭😭😭
Microwaves aren’t bad man, I’m a chef and have one in my home. Don’t use it much lol but only cause I love cooking “manually”. Still love it for reheating meals and steaming things. Making popcorn…that kinda stuff.
Big difference when you’re a pro chef and use the microwave out of laziness, when you should know how to cook. People are paying for your skills and food, you should never half ass it. I think that’s ramsays aversion to microwaves.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
And that's the thing with restaurants... They should serve better food than you can make yourself at home 😅
I think the point was it's served in a restaurant
Let's appreciate their son for a moment... He isn't in denial, he is the one who tells customers that the kitchen is closed, even if that should come from his parents and after that he comforts and supports his father... Good guy.
The whole family is really sweet. They just comforted one another when they were upset saying, “I love you,” 🥺

He's handsome ♥️
Gordon literally called him "the man" as he served him the scallops. I haven't seen that level of respect from Gordon very often. Wiley obviously made a good impression.
I busted out laughing when they zoomed in on Gordon having that hand sanitizer in his pocket 😂😂
What’s that hand sanitizer emoji?

"What part are u going to take from that 1950s ice machine?" "The legs"😅😅😅

Gordon : "And the flies are landing on me as opposed to on the shrimp"
Fly : "of course. Food is shit. You are fresh and delicious"
Fly Ramsay: "Is this Gordon fresh or frozen?"
Fly waiter: "I believe he is frozen"
Fly Ramsay: "Buzz off"

😂😂😂😂 I know right. Fiona didn’t do anything to Gordon lol😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Ok I believe him
He cleaned for 5 days
But he forgot to mention day, month, year, decade or millennium
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Seriously, Gordon's immune system needs to be studied and I'm sure it could solve a lot of uncurable diseases.
😅😅😅😅😅😅
Hey OP how does it feel to be the fucking funniest person on earth 😂
😹😹
For anyone wondering, The Old Neighborhood still got mixed reviews after the show aired, with the negative reviews mostly criticising the service and some poorly cooked dishes. The building was sold in 2014 and officially shut down in october 2016
doing lords work
thank you!
i just know randy and alexa probably had a huge part in this because they literally have no sense of responsibility and are so flaky??
@Quizzer RIGHT? Like you ask for Gordon’s help, then whine like a toddler when he doesn’t like ur food? like you do realize ur business is failing right?
what a waste of money on what Ramsay has done on the transformation.
Me: *"Oh, cool, which episode today?"*
Kitchen Nightmares: *"One with one of the most Vile Kitchens on Kitchen Nightmares!" :D*
Me: *"Do you have any idea in the slightest how little that narrows it down?"*

@@yokofalin5324 LMAOO
You're right. i guessed wrong lmao
My mother was a chef for 40 years, and she would have been horrified by this behavior. Her kitchen was always spotless.
The Old Neighborhood Restaurant was up for sale when this episode was filmed in July 2013. After the episode aired, the owners increased the asking price to $775,000. The owners eventually sold the restaurant and closed their doors on 1 May 2016.
Wow, so they got their restaurant completely renovated with brand new equipment worth thousands of dollars, which they didn’t pay for, & then sold the place.
I guess that’s better than the alternative which would’ve been them continuing to cross contaminate & let it get filthy again.
That Kitchen add at least 100,000 dollars to the value and the Redecorating with Gordon Ramsay personal touches State of the art, equipment! Pans, knives but I wish he would have tore up the carpet!
Well, they were smart
The show might have some contract clause where they have to return equipment and such if they went out of business or sold or payback something.
However, I think they knew they wanted to get out of the business if the building was already up for sale.
You sure that Randy didn't pack that kitchen away before it was sold? Hahaha!
The LOAN was free, NOT the equipment. The "free" home build show was the same way. I worked on some, and the loan took most of the owners down.
I'm addicted to kitchen nightmares. I can't get over the fact that Gordon is not only a professional chef, but also a counselor, family therapist and interior decorator. He's like a Swiss army knife for proessfions. Insane!
Right? Hospitality management needs a bit of psychology for better customer service and people management.
He's the Barbie of restaurant & hotel management
This has to be the best comment ever
Well he has teams of interior designers, chefs, psychologists etc behind him….not just a camera crew
What's a proessfion?
Gordon: "How often is the menu changed?"
Randy: "Every eight months to a year"
Gordon: "So when did you last change it?"
Randy: "Two and a half years ago"
Gordon: *Scratches head in disappointment and confusion
That's one entertaining conversation hahaha
No shit we also watched the video
@@stevkeee lol
Hahaha she proceeded to reply that it haven’t changed much in 30 years too 😭😭😭
I bet he was screaming inside
The way Gordon dramatically stumbles backwards at 27:54 is one of the greatest things I’ve seen in a while 😆
I like how they admit that their restaurant is a total mess and not act delusional and in denial about it like a lot of the owners that appeared on this show. They actually own up to their mistakes and genuinely ask Gordon for help
Makes you wonder what other restaurants look like behind the scene😮
I’m actually quite amazed of how Gordon would actually dare touch all of that filth with his BARE hands. I wouldn’t go near a dead mouse. Wow
You get used to it. That mouse been dead so long it was mummified, but still.. Some gloves wouldn't hurt
Ikr, I have sensory issues, specifically with touch, and am a huge germaophobe. I can't even crack an egg without thoroughly washing my hands immediately after, seeing him stick his hand in gross buckets of raw and moldy food makes my skin crawl
@@tizbean I'm not a germaophobe but I wouldn't even think about sticking my hands in shit like that. Gordon is crazy

I have literally binged all the episodes over & over. This one tops it for me 😂 Especially when the husband said : “We serve that shxt 😳” Gordon: You serve this shxt? 😳” I’m screaming 😭😭😂😂😂😂
The line that sealed his own fate too 😭 he said oh you’re serving that? THAN SHUT IT DOWN
Said it with his whole chest too 😆. Eyes all googly too 👀👀👀 😂
"We serve that shit" spoken with 100% confidence and conviction
That's the part that killed me 😂😂😂😂
"I have a fever.... and the only prescription.... is more shit."
The part makes me laugh every Single time 😂
He was acting incredibly cocky earlier in the episode, but it's pretty clear to me that when he said "we serve that shit" he was saying it out of intense shame, as in "I can't believe we serve that shit", because, in his own words, Gordon was showing him things he didn't want to see. You can see it on his face that that's the moment he truly realized how bad things were and he couldn't ignore it anymore. The way he worded it does make it sound like he's defending the food though so I can see why people would misinterpret that if they're not paying attention.
They used chef G they new they were going o sell they got money in bank for not spending a dime shame on both of them what’s wrong w those to they admitted the contaminated an spoiled food they serve I’m surprised they didn’t get sued rat dropping mce what happened to the food inspections they should of been shut down along time a go this lady has no business being a cook coating meat w cooking spray I think she used a whole can my god don’t no why people haven’t died from eating there there both nuts

Cus it would be an environmental hazard to dump those filthy equipments
@@kitaster1546 lol
he got them to clean it so that when they do get the new equipment, they will know how to keep it clean moving forwards and not let it get in the shit again.
He needed to see some form of effort so his investment doesn't go down the drain
He probably wanted to see if they’d actually put effort in trying to turn the cafe around
Chef Ramsey really does have such a good heart. I’ll never meet these people, but seeing Chef help them pick themselves up from rock bottom nearly brings me to tears. Thank you Chef and all employees who were involved with this show, you made a difference in peoples lives.
27:54 that was probably the most genuine/frustrating "shit" I've ever heard from Gordon Ramsay
I like how Kristen explains about the place. "It's not only the menu that's out of control, it's the decor. Welcome to grandma's house." LOL She seems really nice too.
Welcome to grandma's house was the mic drop😂
Super cute too
There is a brewery/pint room in Denver called Grandma's House and it markets itself on that decor and atmosphere. Beer is good, they host knitting clubs, there are doileys everywhere, beer is good, and the TVs are CRT with old video game systems and tournaments for like N64 Mario Kart and Tetris.
If you go into it marketing it like that, it could succeed. Also CLEAN.

People who think Gordon is rude wouldn't survive a day in Scotland without there fragile feelings getting hurt
Do you really think that? I've been to Scotland and never had an issue with rudeness or anything of the like.

True.and Scottish people can be horribly rude and nasty..
Gordon is never afraid to make his hands dirty, especially in storage areas where some of the food is oozing on the shelf and inside the packaging, where the area changes from a food storage to a garbage basket.
Alexa was really able to put her ego aside and take Gordon advice to the heart. She was lost and overwhelmed with pressure but unlike MANY other chefs on this show, she was not rude and arrogant, she has a great heart.
And she a tough lady too...
agreed. this was such a positive turnaround for her, I was so impressed
She clearly could cook - she said it was a matter of taste... unfortunately, the only people that can put up with her food is her family (13:36 & 21:45).
... Before selling the restaurant in 2014.
yeah she was for sure one of the most accepting of the criticism not crying cause the words hurt but the truth and the disappointment in her self, not only that but she seemed to have the reigns to run a kitchen happy for them

Beautiful transformation for a great family that just needed a little help. I could really see the passion in this family and they just lost the spark. It happens to the best of us when we get burnt out or complacent. I hope they are still doing well and god bless Gorden.
I agree this is by far the BEST overhaul of a location & staff I've EVER seen on the show. It was NICE to watch them go from the standard "I-know-we-asked-for-help-but-it's-not-THAT-bad" to "omg-it-Was-THAT-bad-but-we-are-DONE-with-it!" Hopefully they don't fall into past habits. The wife had some sense of reason and understanding. Took a minute, but you could tell. That husband?! One of the biggest space cases I’ve seen yet. Dude just seems to spout whatever he thinks is wanted to be heard.

This show displays how much health inspectors are needed in the restaurant industry.
They always say stuff like, "People are still going here, so the food could _not_ be that bad!" Dude, if you have got so few customers you need to take loans and remortgage all of your assets in order to not go bankrupt, it actually is that bad.
Yep. Some people just have very low standards. If you can make better food at home its not usually worth paying for at marked up prices. Let alone those poor souls eating in that restaurant not knowing the conditions in the kitchen/fridge 🤢
Describing the state of the garnish as *collateral damage*, is a great way of the server to say, " I agree, your plate looks like crap". 😀👍
I've begun describing a lot of things as collateral damage lately, and it's amusing.
I will say, watching him talk to people the way he does gives me such a sense of joy and happiness....
Tough love brings about good change. Had he not had tough love this restaurant wouldn't be in existence.

I actually feel bad for the owners. After gordon reveals the true state of the place and stops service, they actually admit outside when they hug that they're very bad at what they do. I think it was great to see them hugging each other, and I love that they admitted their faults and are committed to change. That's the first step.
I love how these people were so genuine when asking Gordon for help and he really came through for them

Is it just me or is it hilarious when Gordon goes around finding random gunk all around😂
I'm just genuinely wondering, maybe I have a bias, not being from the US, but do you folks not have restaurant inspections? Inspectors going around checking business? How does it get to this state?
Anarchy?
In the UK you can even check online what's the hygiene rating given by the Food Standards Agency after an inspection. Places even put an official sticker at the entrance with the score they got (but I guess it's not mandatory to do such a thing).
@@georgezee5173 In china we have this rating system. if you get a C (worst hygine and service) you better close down the resturant
@@albertaball3004 But is the rating publicly accessible?
@@georgezee5173 Same thing in Singapore, even eateries are graded and as far as I know they're required to display it.
Gordon had to walk it off after they told him they had cleaned the restaurant for 5 days to get to that state. Bro almost died on the spot 💀
I laugh entirely too hard 😂😂
His face reaction is priceless when he said shit. Kept rewinding it funny.
Those people couldn’t do dishes to save their life. I bet you their house is dirty as fuck and they never wash or clean anything
35:04 when she said you can see through the grease. It made me cringe because it’s like Bruh you’re supposed to clean your grease out every few days and supposed to filter every day and night for her not to be able to see through her grease means they never changed it
"We serve that shit"
Damn, the balls on this fool
He’s standing up for himself 🤷♀️
