Can we just take a moment to respect that Gordon, as perhaps the best and most accomplished chef in the world, never boasts or mentions his success - even when arguing with arrogant chefs that attempt to invalidate him and label his criticisms as just 'his opinion'. But not once has he felt the need to mention that he has one of the most refined culinary opinions in the world.
Honestly, I agree, but I feel like people get the cause and effect mixed up. The reason why he is successful is because of his attitude and his work ethic. It's just who he is as a person. He realises he doesn't need to use his opinion and his achievements to reinforce what he is saying because he knows his success speaks for itself.
Its not really that he is successful and is admirable because he doesn't tell everyone that he is.
@@spudchunk811 So... The Same thing then, basically?
To be honest Gordon Ramsey isnt just a chef.
He's also a food critic, business owner, TV show host/producer/writer, relationship councelor, and probably more.
If you were to look at Ramsey's entire career, the guy has picked up so many different skills, its amazing how 1 person can really do and learn so much in one life.
As cheesy as this may sound, describing him as merely "most accomplished chef in the world" is an understatement, because of the chef part. He's way more than just a chef, and thats a fact.
@@morpheas768 "chef, restaurateur, writer, and television personality." Yes I'd say he's way more than "just a chef" ;) anyway there are several 3 stars chefs around the world, who can say who's the best, especially when it's about food and...TASTE, you know..
@@JLuke2oo7 No, although Gordan is portrayed as showing a lot of humility, he actually isn't an intentionally humble person. He knows that his hard work buys him the status that is so revered and so he doesn't need to flaunt his status or accomplishments because they speak for themselves. It's the same reason other workaholics like Elon Musk don't brag because they don't need to. They know it doesn't actually buy them anything that their status cant already afford. When you tell people things they already know they don't listen. Ramsay most likely knows this and doesn't say anything because it only has advantages that people see him in a positive light which is especially good on TV.
At the end of the day, people who do 100+ hour work weeks hardly ever boast because actions speak louder than words and they know that.
