Oh he FOR SURE does stuff that’s fancy, it’s just so effortless and tasteful and well done that it doesn’t seem like he’s doing much. His runs in this anthem are sick as fuck, and unique as hell. This was a very unique rendition, and very uniquely Chris.
And all he had was a guitar behind his singing and that just shows how good of a singer.
When the announcer introduced him to sing, "I said is this my guy that sings Tennessee Whiskey? Cause if he is, he's about to bring the smoke." I wasn't expecting him to bring the fire 😳 He sang that song down. He up there with Whitney now 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

@@JohnWarner-lu8rq Whitney Houston, Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson and Luther Vandross are considered to have the best versions out there. Whitney’s is phenomenal, but it sounds like one of, if not the best singers of the last 100 years belting out a song. Chris Stapleton purposely chose to belt it out at parts and have more subdued moments to make it personal. Whitney’s is great but it is a little short on style. Jennifer Hudson I think was the best version before this with Whitney number 3. Of course always have to include Jimi Hendrix Guitar only rendition.

There's too much decisiveness going on as it is.

This is the most AMERICAN I have ever heard of The Star Spangled Banner! I cried because I think one his voice makes you feel and in that anthem I felt for those few moments this country could feel. This is the best rendition I have ever heard!

I definitely think this is the best one ever done. Most renditions are grand but lack an intimacy. Chris Stapleton’s version fits being played in a Coffee House or a Stadium. I’ve never heard anyone at Super Bowl give a rendition that works in a coffee house or someone’s backyard, as well as a Stadium. Jennifer Hudson, Faith Hill, Luther Vandross,, Mariah Carey’s and Whitney Houston’s are phenomenal but they are not this.

Okay I'm a Canadian and I love my country's national anthem I don't really listen to the Americans national anthem but because it was Chris Stapleton of course I had to check it out and I cannot tell you how many times I've watched it😊😊 it made me sentimental and as I say I'm not even American so I cannot imagine how Americans feel other than incredibly proud😊😊😊😊😊 your friends should be ashamed for not knowing Chris Stapleton because he really has no genre😊😊
