Bro y’all are sleeping if you don’t know Chris Stapleton. 8 Grammy’s and counting. Amazing voice, incredible lyrics (he started as a writer and then became a singer), and he can absolutely shred on the guitar. Tennessee Whiskey, Death Row, Fire away, Cold, Sometimes I Cry, I was wrong, Nobody to blame, and my personal favorite, Daddy doesn’t pray anymore. Y’all check him out., you won’t be disappointed.

I was half way across the world in a tent during Desert Storm with a couple hundred other service members watching Whitney sing this live and it brought most of us to tears with pride. Never thought any rendition ever come close to her version but Chris blew me away here. He's right up top with Whitney in my mind.

We are all one big American family. The sooner we embrace that and come together and love each other the better off we will be. Growing up, living in multiple states, race was never a problem or a thing, evidenced by my multiracial family. In recent years, bad people with horrible motives have pushed very hard to make everything about race and to divide us from one another. It is evil what they are doing and I refuse to be a part of any of the hate and division. You two are my American brothers and I could care less how much melanin you do or don't have in your skin. Many in my family have fought and died to preserve this country and our American family nationwide and we will continue to fight to protect this beautiful melting pot of a country that we all call home. Also, Chris is so talented and that was one of the most beautiful renditions of our national anthem that I have ever heard, salute sir. ✌️❤️

Loved your reaction. You need to react to anything by Chris Stapleton. Always do a live version when possible. He's got a ton of songs out there between his solo career and when he was with the Steeldrivers and The Jompson brothers. Do more of him. Start with Cold at the CMA's and him and Justin Timberlake at the CMA's. That last performace is what finally broke out Chris.
Thank you for your reaction guys! I love Chris version and Whitney's equally because their styles are so different, I don't judge. I just enjoy. If yall have time, watch The Star Spangled Banner As You've Never Heard It. It's the back story to our anthem. So many Americans don't know that our anthem is actually a blow by blow account, in every verse, of a horrible battle in War of 1812, where British were trying to take us back over. Frances Scott Key, witnessed the battle and wrote poem about what he saw and it was later set to music and became our anthem. No other country that I know of, has an anthem written like ours. I've seen the flag from that battle. It's at The American History Museum at the Smithsonian in Washington. DC. I read the story about it there so I know it's true. Once you know the story by watching that video, you'll never hear our anthem the same way. If it doesn't bring the patriot out in you for being an American, something is wrong. Whitney was always my favorite till Chris. Many say his is the best but I believe its because he only had his guitar and his phenomenal voice. No one else has done it like that. Everyone else has used a recorded version of the song.
