Great tutorial as always! You always make it look like so much fun! I notice you left the Decovil off of the taller back slip pocket. Was that intentional? Did it affect the structure differently? Did you leave it off the first one you made?
How do you pick your vinyls? I find I get stuck in my own tastes and need to be more open minded. You pick things that are so different and gorgeous. Any advise would be great.

I have no idea, I just get what speaks to me at that time! I like to try new combos and am not afraid of color. Just pick what you love!
Kassiah, how do you attach the Decovil to the vinyl? Do you use your heat press or iron? Less temp? I’ve got both (watercolor/craft/sewing hoarder here 🤫). Thx! I’m gonna have to put a lock on my wallet because I buy almost every bag pattern I see you make!

Have you ever tried the EB fuse heavy from Emma line bags? I hear it’s comparable to Decovil light, just a lot more affordable? I just bought some but haven’t used it in a project yet… just scraps! Just was curious if you’ve tried it and what your thoughts were! Lol I usually try to copy everything you do! 😂

Great videos! When u say baste pieces together, do u enlarge the stitch length to do this? Or do u use same size stitch when u sew the bag together? Thanx so much!!! Great tutorials!
Basting and topstitching are all done at a bigger stitch length, for me 5-5.5. Sewing actual seams together smaller around 4-4.5
I have a Juki ddl 8700 H and I have tech 90 thread Will my thread and machine be ok to make this bag I just got the pattern I’ve never make a backpack before just wanted to try one.

I have made quilts for years also make quilts in the hoop I have a Viking Epic 2 and a Juki ddl 8700H I got it to use to bind my quilt done in the hoop I’ve used wool batten in some of my quilts in the hoop . Just need to try something new you are such a great teacher I watch all your videos I love this bag want to make it

What type of tape do you use for backing the magnets?
You can use duct tape or I sometimes use really wide double sided tape and don’t take off the paper on the other side
If you increased the size of the gusset how come you didn't need to increase the front and back panels? I'm confused!
Because the panels don’t need to be larger, the gusset needed extra to fit the current panels the way they were..
@@SiahSwag So you just increased that one piece...the gusset not the zipper part if yhe gusset by a totalbof 1/2 inch?
