Not sure if anyone noticed but Rhaenyra’s hairstyle has gotten more complex just like Daenyres’ did as S8 progressed or maybe the hair thing started in S7 I can’t remember.

I love how this episode truly shows some growth with daemon I hope I'm not speaking too soon lol but u can tell he's grown and matured slot and that he truly has love for his wife . I love how even tho there not much context in this episode between them u can tell she love him as well and accepts him and his flaws . Both actors had amazing chemistry between them where alot doesn't have to be said u can just feel it

I believe that they’re doing another time jump this season, but it’s not super drastic. New actors will come in and play Aegon and Aemond and also Rhaenyra’s children. In the original trailer we see the new actors and they were at the premiers, so I’m guessing it’s happening at some point this season. So, with that jump I’d assume we’d see Rhaenyra and Daemons children as well. I read on twitter it’s happening in Episode 8

in Ep 6 at the beginning when Daemon was at dinner he was saying something to a waiter in a more intentional fashion than he would normally (I assume he would ignore them normally). I think that could relate to the murder plot you speak of w/ Laenor in Spicetown.

It's a very well executed medieval soap opera with dragons. As such, I'm enjoying it immensely. I'm not on either "team", but as Crispin and Larysfinger are both so despicable, hoping their schemes are foiled.
In the books Crispin is known as the "kingmaker", so looks like he's going waaaaay up before he goes down.
Pretty sure Jace is his son, so that would make an interesting twist.

I believe she does
Targaryens are not just dragonriders. Some have "dragon dreams", basically prophetic dreams. Viserys I tells us about it in the first episode. Daenys the Dreamer forsaw Doom of Valyria. Funnily, some Targaryens had dragon dreams long after dragons died. The problem with prophecies is they are often misread or misinterpreted.

Based on the books, we could guess that Alicent was going to harm one of Rhaenyra's children for what happened to Aemond or Rhaenyra says something that causes Alicent to lash out. It would make sense why Rhaenyra would say "Now they see you as you are".

People are so upset about the deaths in Childbirth. Basically set in the middle ages. Little to no quality health care. Giving birth was dangerous business. It still is today. Leana chose how she wanted to die. She knew she was going to anyway. To wait for a slow lingering death was not an option for her. In her mind, if she couldn't die in battle, she chose by her own dragon.

I think that Rhaenyra’s bloody hand is a consequence of hers and Daemon’s wedding. It was a traditional Valyrian wedding where they cut each other’s palms so they’re bonded by blood.

I agree with the predictions of the finally, this season will end right before the best part happens. s1 is the introduction s2 is the action... will it have a s3?
A certain event off the coast of storms end is a good place to end it failing that the better option is another event foreshadowed with the rat and the blood... this show could go for 4-5 seasons it depends if they want to slow the pace down and give it the justice the story deserves.

@@FURIAfdx very difficult to tell so early on, you can tell they wanna be faithful to the source material and the book only brushes over a lot of big events it wouldn't be too difficult to flesh it out a bit more, they had to have a fast pace to set the scene and get the plot going I'm hoping once the war begins it will slow down and have no big time jumps (the dance is only 2 years after all) plus there could be episodes with the regents after the war. After season 8 I had no expectations at all going into this show and I've been Impressed so far so let's hope it's done justice 🙏

@@FURIAfdx surely that makes it worth the wait? You had to wait till episode 9 of S1 of GOT for Neds death, ep9 of S3 for red wedding, the build up is what makes the pay off have a greater effect. Of course knowing what's coming makes these have slightly less tension but for the many who haven't read the books there's gonna be some potentially great twists in this story and even for book readers seeing it on screen is always glorious.

I suspect Rhaenyra probably ask the boys about what's happening and they told them about Rhaena bruises and how Alicent boys called them 'Strong boys'. while Rhaenyra said it was the act of treason, Daemon watching her as he knew Alicent boys were right.
knowing Rhaenyra's going to be chase around by the people if she has no legitimate heir, Daemon purpose a pact but she refused because she can't just cast aside her husband or suddenly have a silver haired children after having Daemon around.
Daemon probably take it as a command just like Larys, so he kill Laenor. since it's not the first time for him. he killed his wife after Viserys said 'you already wed' so he might be think as that same logic? because I've seen a video Rhaenys death staring someone in a funeral.
or Laenor's bf was jealous because Laenor told him he's about to do his duty as the only heir to House Velaryon and give Rhaenyra a try? Daemon overheard them and let the fight breaks in. knowing Laenor is dying but still alive, he thought Daemon come for the rescue but instead, he killed him. then someone saw him did that so he chase the man and killed him too? then he twist the story as it was him who killed the Laenor's killer but Rhaenyra & Rhaenys didn't believed him.

There is a photos of daemon and he's daughter's cut from the episode and there also a scene of daemon stole egg dragon and I was stupidly excited for it but looks like that scene cut from episode 2

I've been wondering for a couple episodes now if the "Dance of the Dragons" is what season 2 will be called, and if that is where all the real conflict will happen.
This is all just setup, hence the title "House of the Dragon".

Why would Viserys be at Leana's funeral? He barely knew her. And she's been out of the country for 10 years, so why are all those young kids there? They're to young to know her. I can see Rheanyra being there because Laena was her husband's sister. But that's about it.
Is this just an excuse for many cast members to get together to plot and metaphorically backstab? If so. I'm all for it.
And why would Daemon have to murder Leanor to get him out of the way? He doesn't care who she sleeps with.
Often people that have not been in physical contact for years come to funerals. Why should this be any different. Also Corlis is a relative by marriage. It's his brother's wife after all. Also except for very young children don't you think children should go to funerals to know how to behave? Also it's better for them to go to ones they hardly know. They can distance themselves, mentally, from the emotions. These children are also royals and expected to attend these things. It's a part of training for ruling. Even if it's not the crown, there are other positions for ruling.

I love the show, but this looks like a non-too-subtle plot device to get many of the major players together so they can give each other the stink-eye and remind everyone of who hates who.

She’s half Targaryen’s and their cousin. She’s literally family.
@@yakiralovesall That still doesn't explain why the children were there. They are too young to have even known Laena. There were as many people at Laena's funeral as were at the funeral of Visery's first wife, the Queen.
It would have made more sense to get everyone together for some perceived outside threat like an invasion from pirates in the Stepstones
Also, not only did nobody attend Daemon's first wife's funeral, Viserys didn't even know she had died. And one of the reasons Viserys said he didn't marry Laena was that along with being 12, he didn't know her, even though she was his cousin.
The way this was written is actually disrespectful to the character because her death is just being used as plot device.
This whole, "Poor Laena how sad we are" excuse for a get together is unearned dramatically. Several critics have mentioned as much and I agree.
If you think Vhagar is powerful now, just wait till she combines with her skeksis counterpart...

Dude, there are spoilers and then there are spoilers. Revealing that Aemond rides Vaghar was gratuitous, it takes away the surprise from anyone who hasn't read the book but is (was) looking forward to Episode 7.
It's one thing to fill-in holes in the tv series with background from the book after each episode, but getting ahead of the tv show with information from the book should be a no-no.

It's a soap opera. GoT seasons 1-4 had a story arc and were leading up to a climax. Then GRRM broke that arc to be able to expand the running time, and GoT became a boring soap opera. And HotD is the same. "and then that happened. and then that happened. and then that happened." is not a STORY.
