Haha, that’s funny. C’mon, nobody is watching that ring show.
@@brettbaratheon9776 episode 6 was actually really good. First 5 episodes was terrible tho
@@brettbaratheon9776 love the show
hopefully they stick to the book.. I really hope the writers *don't pull a Dorne* in HotD like the writers of GOT did.. they really ruined the Dorne's entire plot by combining characters of Arianna Martell into Ellaria Sand and reducing the Oberyn's bastards into just three, and it got so messed up the writers had to kill off every Dorne characters eventually so fast
I am worried because Daeron is yet to be seen, and Alicent never seen to be pregnant with fourth child and now Viserys is dying.. and we know Daeron plays big role as well later.. hopefully they don't simply "combine" Aemond and Daeron huhuhu
I hope you're right that Daeron is being a cupbearer somewhere but his character does exist in this TV version
Rhaenys wouldn’t poison Viserys for stealing her crown. Rhaenys said that she no longer cares and has put it behind her, so why she she now poison her cousin for a crown she no longer cares about?
Yes. She's really far in the line of succession now. First Viserys, then Rhaenyra, Jacerys, Lukerys, Joffery, Aegon, Aemond, Daeron, Daemon. I don't know if Helena comes in the line or not.
Because all her children are dead because of him in her eyes
Right and even after he dies she still wouldn’t get it anyway so it’s really no motive
Rhaenys ends up fighting for Daemon and Rhaenyra. No she did not poison the king.
This. If she was going to, she would have ages ago.
Did you guys notice the blade when Alicent attacs Rhaenyra? It was in front of the fire and no letters appeared. This was the moment when Rhaenyra realised for sure that the Prince that was promised will not be born from Alicent's bloodline. And now she knows that the throne must be hers no matter what.
Wow! So cool that you noticed that
it needs to be literally in the fire, not just near it. but i did notice it was a very specific camera shot, so you might be onto something.
Bruhhhh you connected the dots for me. I thought it was a mistake by the production cuz I was staring into the soul of the freakin blade and cannot see a thing!!! Now it makes sense cause it's afflicted with the holder of the blade!!! Totally forgot.
Doesn't Alicent granddaughter marry Aegon III?
@@blaubeer8039 yaah true I saw that now
Sucks for the younger actors to leave so suddenly. I really thought the younger Aemond version was so good, the kid was a really good actor that he makes me really empathize and even like Aemond. He's very serious and you can tell he is the most cunning of the children. He's basically a reflection of Daemon in a way, but if anything more loyal to his brother and family.
Last nite he l ost his left eye, today yrs later has a patch on his right. Wtf.
@@dalesparks7139 I think that's a reflected image... in other official photos from the show it's his left eye that's covered.
Empathize??! He was about to bash his little nephew's skull plus he attacked little girls. He's a little violent, cunning thing. He's nothing like Daemon, he's more like his evil grandfather, Otto
@@AG-fg1uk Daemon would have done the same thing
@@AG-fg1uk Daemon literally provokes and antagonizes his brother who covers for his actions. Daemon does horrific things like murdering his ex wife... I don't know what daemon you've been watching? but if you're in the way of what he wants, he will either kill you or make moves to ensure your end.
Also 4 kids vs one isn't a fair fight, and regardless if they are girls... they attacked him, not the other way around. I can see defense that got carried away given the animosity created by their respective families.
Aemond looks a lot older than Aegon here. I didn't think that they needed to replace Ty Tennant especially since this new actor does not look that much older than him. I'm getting too attached to the old actors!
Where is baby Joffrey?
Yeah, he's more taller and handsome than his older brother. I'm guessing he's supposed to the "Daemon" of the pair 🤔. Aegon will grow to be a fat drunkard and Aemond will be the cunning prince
This. Teen Aegon looked more like adult Aegon then what we have (he's in the age range he can easily pass for both).
Said the same shit. Much older
Aemond was meant to be kinda scrawny and ugly. So much has been changed.
@@BleedingGrafitti Aemond is sexy with his evil one eyed having ass.
I love how Aemond as a kid was an innocent boy, bullied by his brother and after the time jump he looks like a really badass character.. Can't wait until Sunday to watch his development..
Daemon 100% wasn't played by Mysaria. He played her. Daemon is a lot of things but unaware of what these around him do is not one of them.
tbh I kinda tired with Daemon always getting the upper hand.. it would be nice for a change to see when he got played
having a character with plot armor can ruin great characters and overall plot, and tip the scale too much towards one side and making threat/plot twist unshocking ..
in GOT I got bored when GOT keep giving plot armor to Jaime Lannister and Bronn, two characters I previously loved
would be nice to see if Daemon's smug face got dropped finding out Mysaria was the one who was using him not the other way round
It would make sense since Daemon wanted Rhaenyra and he wanted to get her by ruining her reputation. Notice how he take down their disguise before entering the pleasure house in ep 4, meaning of course that they were no longer incognito and could be noticed
Aegon found a way to get younger over the years
Really? I don't think he looks younger.
Well... nevermid
Horrible casting, but I'm guessing it was done to make Aemond look more cunning and wiser than his older brother (the sloppy philandering drunkard)
I have weird genes that I look a decade younger than I should (which is HILARIOUS when I mention remembering the 80's and people freaking out), but I want his secret because dude looks like a mid-teen.
@@AG-fg1uk Yeah but they could have just bkept the teen actor. He can easily pass and was good at being a dumbass.
Aegon the second looks like the younger brother to Aemond 👀😂
I will repeat; as someone who is the eldest out of 5 I look the youngest it’s weird but it happens lol
Well that was probably deliberate since Aemond will singlehandedly carry the greens.
It’s a visual representation of how boyish and immature Aegon is especially in comparison to his younger, more mentally mature brother.
he is tha actor in nolans dunkrick
How did Aegon shrink LOL . . . They put so much stock into Aemonds actor that they failed big bro. I do love the look they gave Aemond though! He resembles his uncle and in the end . . . well let me not spoil anything
I swear Aegon was just... forgotten and recast last minute.
Both actors that played aegon are 5’10
@@Saitaina Yall do realize that looks aren't the only factors that go into casting right? People are so shallow
@@Saitaina They cast the adult actors first, the mistake was the young casting. They cast a 19 year old to play 13 year old Aegon which makes no sense. The adult actor for Aegon is great though, I have no idea what they were thinking casting young Aegon even though he did a good job.
@@beardedhippie7337 thx for that info. I guess its his size in comparison to his little one eyed bro just overshadows that
Only issue with the time jumps is that Mat Smith NEVER ages a day
It's Matt Smith though, he and David Tennant are the UK Keenue Reeves. Immortals playing at being human for lolz.
Yeah I love the guy but whatever make up they are putting on him is not working he’s looked the same pretty much
Same with Ser Criston haha
@@jjcooks7401 Yes.!
Nor Otto.
One thing I'm finding really interesting is how most of the Targs, whom were said in the books to be absurdly beautiful are in the show mostly odd looking... It kind of goes to show how power leads to untruths being accepted as truth.
They look inbred in the show, especially young Rhaenyra and Young Aemond. It makes more sense this way to me.
I think it's because they have to choose who is best at playing the role rather than their beauty. Like, if you had a beautiful actor but who didn't capture the essence of the character, this would be worse than having a pretty actor who did capture the essence of the character. I mean, look how good Matt Smith is at playing Daemon!
I really liked Aegon II and Helaena's actors though -- I thought they played the characters really well AND had the looks to match, especially Helaena's actress, who had a kind of ethereal beauty. I think all the Velaryons are quite pretty/ good looking as well, and Rhaenys too. I thoughy Mill Alcock was also quite pretty and had a sort of otherness to her features that made her look Valryian.
They're literally actors y'all, like real people, outside of the show
Most of them are good looking, why are y'all saying they're not? Like wtf lmao
@@bonafide4874 thaaank u. It's not a beauty contest. The actors chosen r the best ones.
@@ch3cksund3ad not sure... You're right. Lol!!!
Rhaenyra and Daemon would technically gain the most from the king “dying in his sleep”, since Otto basically has the throne while the king is too ill to rule, I can’t see Rhaenyra offing him, but I could picture Daemon using the tunnels if it means ruling with his wife and keeping his family safe.
Another thought is the King offing himself, although more unlikely, because of the prophesy.
Rhenerya's line will eventually win out but at a cost that destroys her and her half-brother Aegon II. There is still a lot of Rhenerya's saga left to tell, enough to fill in quite a few seasons if that's what the producers choose to do. This is definitely the high point of the Targaryen history in Westeros and that's why HBO chose it to start with it even though it starts halfway through the book. A lot of the children are going to start coming into play, and Rhenerya has 3 more children by her uncle. The twins (Daemon and Laena's 2 girls) will have an important role later on.
This dress Alicent is wearing in the preview reminds me of Cercies dress in the later seasons of GOT.
Getting used to all this incest and rooting for it is kinda worrying lol I never thought I’d ever get excited with incest like I did with episode 7 🤣 we only had Cersi and Jamie then Jon and Dany to deal with but this series is incest on steroids with the amount of same blood relations lol
All in the name of “strengthening their bloodline”😂
Like dirty European 'royalty'
🤣🤣🤣
Hence all their weird illnesses and mental illness
I'm hooked!! I love the breakdown bc when you're watching live you miss those tiny clues
i feel like the new guy playing aegon doesn't even look significantly older than the previous aegon...
Ok but I look wayyyy younger than my younger siblings snd I’m the eldest: I get it does look weird but it’s not out of the realm of normal.
Tom Glynn carney’s only 27, so they should have given him some make up to thoroughly age him over Aemond’s new actor. But honestly it’s not a big deal
What? He totally looks way older
@@blackgirlcouchreviews the issue is that the previous actor looked old enough
Dude becomes a cripple Soon. And if u look at the photo they have of Aegon II he looks ugly like that dude. The younger Aegon looked like a dude I'd party with and slay wench hole
To everyone saying that Aegon now looks way younger than Aemond, their ages are actually accurate. Aegon's actor is 27 and Aemond's is 20 - they just look younger and older respectively. In the books, Aemond is the warrior who is strong and mature while Aegon is generally pretty weak, so it actually works out.
I don’t understand why they didn’t just keep the same Aegon actor because this one looks younger? Lol
yeah he looks now older than hes older brother
you mean Aegon?
@@jonXler you know what I mean
Does he act younger? Oh wait, you haven't seen him act yet.
Do you know who was cast first? Probably don't. And like Rhaenyra, Laenor, Laena, and Alicent, the older version was likely cast FIRST and filmed their scenes FIRST because they would be carrying the show going forward.
And do y'all realize that looks are NOT the only factor that go into casting?
@@agrimmeon9308 This is a very passive aggressive comment. You ok?
“You have lived too long Uncle!”
“On that nephew, we agree.”
3:24 poor choice of actors for the boys adult Armon looks like the young Aegon II and the adult Aegon looks like the young Aemon. But Aemon does look like good from the source point of view (the book) just that their adult versions and the younger versions don’t fit. If it was not for that patch I would have though that Aemon is Aegon.
In an interview the actor who plays the king said that the illness is leprosy and that's why he's losing limbs.
Am I the only one who is under the impression that Aemond is in his mid twenties now while Aegon did not age a lot?
I wonder, why does Aemond look older than Aegon in this time skip? Is Aemond taller and stronger than Aegon in ASOIAF?
Yes and a better worrier
Aegon isn't a great fighter in the books, whereas Aemond is ^^ Aegon, however, is a better politician
no Aemond is the book was always shorter than Aegon. But he was the better fighter and tactician because after he loses his eye, Criston Cole trains him more than his brother. Aemond being shorter is to contrast the character, he looks less intimidating with only 1 eye and being shorter than Aegon but he's actually the more deadly of the two. Aegon is just brutal as a person, kind of like Joffery Baratheon and Robert Baratheon's drunkard late stage mixed into 1.
Its Dearon im pretty sure standing there not Aegon. Tom Glynn-Carney is playing older Aegon.
sorry im wrong, had to compare the face in later shot. I guess they really did leave out Dearon... but there are 4 bloodlines in the intro coming from Alicent/Vis.. so... idk.. Maybe the video i heard that from mistook it for Visery's having 4 children (including Rheanyra)... /shrug
Aegon is going to make a crap king - alcohol and women. Did Alicent even train her son to be a king. Stunned Alicent went along with the incest and married her daughter to her son. Yuck!
Anything to solidify power and Alicent was probably too busy trying to fight Rhaenyra to properly train her son. All unfortunate
@@googleuser7454 Seriously. She had 1 job. I was impressed when in GoT we saw Bran being taught by the Maester about the different houses and then later saw Bran sitting as the Lord of Winterfell ruling. But People actually in the Red Keep never seem to train actual upcoming Kings. What was Otto doing? He helped the soon to be dead king.
Bobby B was the same but he did fine.
@@theelectricprince8231 Fine?
I think Aemond’s character should’ve been played by Aegon’s character and vis versa
No- 💀
Nooo
it's book accurate. aemond is described as looking older and is the warrior brother.
nah he is a chad compared to Aegon
The best part of watching these series is coming back here to see the breakdowns 🤣🤣🤣
I was confused the last couple of episodes but I finally realized that the storyline advanced like 5-10 years I think. I've never read one single book from the shows. I do like this prequel. I can tell it's gonna have a huge build up.
Its a shame, Aegon II's new actor looks more like he would be an accurate Aegon III
im always amaze by the designs of the clothes in this show, it was good on game of thrones but here it is in overdrive
Appreciate the work put into this. Ty
I’m not sure if that’s Aegon? That could be Daeron. He doesn’t seem to have age as much if that’s the case
I was wondering if it was the absent other child - she has four, doesn't she?
Dude literally talked about it in the video plus that actor is cast as aegon
Tom Glynn Carney is officially cast as Older Aegon. That's Aegon, not Daeron. Daeron won't be in Season 1, he's off squiring at Oldtown and will likely be introduced in Season 2. He hasn't been cast for season 1. There's 4 blood lines trailing from Alicent in the opening sequence, so he exists.
@@beardedhippie7337 yeah he can say it in the video but he can still be wrong lol. But if the actor is credited as Aegon then I am the one who’s wrong. Though this dude looks as old as Ty Tennant that why I was kind of puzzled haha
Anyway, I do hope we see Daeron though, he’s very important at the end of the Dance, plus Tessarion
@@Saitaina correct
No shot thats aegon, he looks younger than the young aegon actor lmao. Aemond looks like an absolute warrior though damn.
Poor Prince Daeron, forgotten by the show runners. I don’t care about the character, just sad we likely won’t get his dragon Tesserion either. I just want a bright blue dragon!
I know. I was looking forward to Tesserion ☹️
Would be pretty.
The real question what is going with sea somke after his rider presume dead
Seasmoke gonna have a new rider
Like with Vhagar, Targaryen dragons usually end up either going semi-rogue and leaving until claimed again or remain in the pit (if they can fit, which Sea Smoke could) to be possibly matched in the future (when their riders die). Sea Smoke does come up later in the books (no spoilers) but isn't really seen until that point. In the show, his rider is technically alive so who knows if we'll see Sea Smoke until he's conveniently needed, if he's essentially 'disowned' by Laenor, etc
The easy they portray Rhaenys, I wouldn’t think she’d kill Visaerys.
3:17 who else thought that Aemond was Aegon and Aegon was Aemond? Because how does that make sense?
Alicent is not a favorite. She needed any excuse against Rhaenyra and she got one when Cole confessed to sleeping with her. She always wanted the throne and it’s just now more apparent.
Yes I agree with that. She was always been lowkey very ambitious and extremely self righteous.
If that is how you choose to interpret everything set before your eyes, then the two of you are just airheads.
She never had designs on the throne, her father did. It was when she discovered Rhanerya lied to her that her attitude changed towards Rhanerya.
And Rhanerya fathers bastard children. Rhanerya a princess, was fucked before her wedding. No one put her up to it, she did. She is a spoilt brat who believes everything should be given to her.
And her weak father, his indecision, his own stupidity is why house targayrean begun it's steep descent into calamity.
@@OrangeSplash7 The hypocrites are the worst. You’re not even a blood royal to claim the throne for your children.
Alicent always wanted the throne?? Whaaaat? Have you paying attention to the story?
@@user-pd8lc3ow6x her children are of royal blood, what type of people do we have in this world? Why can't you simply pay attention.
Alicent never wanted the throne until Rhanerya lied to her and she found out. Rhanerya is the one who couldn't keep her legs closed fucking everyone in Kings Landing. Rhanerya is the one who put herself in the position to marry an obviously gay guy when her father gave her the option to choose anyone from any of the other houses, she was busy acting her little bitch script. Rhanerya is the one who birthed bastard children, bastard children should not have a claim to the throne and Rhanerya by virtue of her many mistakes should have lost the privilege to inherit the throne from her father. But Viserys being a weak king who no one respects, allows his little bitch daughter to play him around like a fiddle.
Viserys is the one who destroyed the targayrean family.
i get aemond being the warrior but i was expecting aegon to be a bit more imposing
my feelings exactly. they’ve done well so far with casting, i don’t get how this happened
@J.Nord I agree. As a matter of fact the older Aemon and Aegon actors should have switched roles and then they'd be more similar to the younger Aemon and Aegon actors from this recent episode in size, head shapes and facial features.
@@G3ForMe in the books aemond is described as looking quite a lot older than aegon, despite being the younger brother.
im with team green
Why does Aemon look older lol
because puberty hit people differently.
And the new Helena isn’t as pretty as the new one. Weird casting on these three honestly.
@@brettbaratheon9776 I rather have the best actors for the role, rather than them looking exactly like their younger selves, up to now the actors have all been great.
@@FreddyMacT yeah, agreed.
Thinking about it now Corlys is going to be critically injured but not killed. His brother takes the opportunity to seize the Driftmark throne ally with the Greens until Corlys is better and then he'll take it back and return it to the blacks that's my prediction for whats happening. Even rn the Blacks still seem stronger. Corlys' brother allying with the Greens would tip the scales for a while.
Will we get big battle in episode 9 and season cliffhanger in episode 10? Would "dance of the dragons" start this season or not technically until season 2?
I appreciate these videos.
Book reader, so SPOLERS about the next episode and beyond below:
Decided to go back and read what happens next, we're getting very close now, I think Viserys will die either at the end of next episode, or for sure the one after.
This next episode will have the Seasnakes brother make a claim before the iron throne declaring that since Corlys is close to death (sustains a new injury fighting in the stepstones again), Lucerys is a Strong and Rhaenys is a Targaryean, that he should inherit Driftmark. Viserys cuts out his tongue as promised in the last episode of anyone declaring his grandsons bastards. However, in the book he also cuts his hand on the throne and starts to get really sick, even closer to death (in the show this has happened way earlier though, so maybe some other reason will occur), but essentially, Rhaenyra brings her Maester to court and he's able to save Viserys so they hold a feast in her honor where the Green boys raise a toast to how 'strong' his cousins/nephews are, looks like this leads to a fight in the show, and I think Rhaenyra and Daemon retreat to Dragonstone one final time afterwards. Viserys eventually passes in his sleep (or maybe the showwriters will have something else in store for us).
Then it's the green council which is the name of episode 9, this council takes place following the kings death, and essentially the Greens make the decision to put Aegon forward as heir and the remaining council members agree, minus lord Beesbury (the dude asking Rhaenyra if he can help her during her walk with baby Joffrey to the queen). He gets killed for his defiance and they sign a blood pact before announcing to the kingdom that the king is dead and Aegon is the new king.
I think the final episode will be around trying to recruit allies, the Baratheons specifically. The Greens had the advantage since they knew about the kings death first, they sent ravens to all the high lords of Westeros, they end up with the Hightowers, Tyrells, Lannisters, and Baratheons (basically the south and west). The Blacks end up sending envoys to the North, the Eyrie, the Riverlands, and they also try to win the Baratheons, because Rhaenys is half Baratheon half Targaryean (uncrowned queen) and the former head of the house was her close supporter. However his son now rules, and he was open to be persuaded by Aemond who went there to offer himself as a husband to one of his daughters. They come to terms before Lucerys arrives as the Black envoy, where he is confronted by Aemond. The Baratheon lord (his name escapes me) requests that no blood be shed under his roof, but says nothing when Aemond declares he will chase him down, and he does. Aemond gets his revenge for last episode and kills Lucerys, the first royal casualty of the dance of dragons.
I wonder if they'll include Daemon's response, but I think it's more likely they open next season with it for the shock factor. But if you want the details, essentially he uses his former mistress to hire two assassins, and orders them to kill one of Aegon's sons in response, a son for a son. The worst or best part depending on which team you're on, is that the assassins catch Aegon's wife (Helaena) with all 3 of his children, they force her to choose which one to kill, she chooses the youngest, and they cut off the eldest's head (heir) right in front of all of them instead. She becomes so traumatized by the incident that she is unable to use her dragon later on.
Pretty sure daemon planned being caught in flea bottom w rhaenyra was his plan with mysaria all along
Alicent looks like she is doing her best innocent Amber Heard performance for the court
That would be Rhanerya.
You know that part where ramira says she'll return on dragon back, she's pregnant at the time she says this how long of a voyage does it take from Kings landing two dragonstone? I mean are we talking weeks months a year
Question did you flip the image of Aemond in your thumbnail? If not the eyepatch is on the wrong eye.
Otto sitting on the Iron Throne reminds me of Ned Stark sitting on the throne, but only it's different here.
All this going back and forth and I would think whoever commands the biggest and strongest army would win and have finally say so. Like I haven't read the books but from my perspective if the king died, and the queen and hand named Ageon the new king. If I was the princess, I'd just have all 3 killed but to do that you gotta have the man power behind you I suppose. Since I would've known this is a possibility, I would've had the king put in law or written that soldiers of the kingdom report to princess upon his death for an orderly transition. I guess I'm simple, like this couldn't drag out this long. However, I love the show and these breakdowns.
I like how it switched eyes
I never understood why Targaryens didn’t abdicate once they became unable to fulfill their duties as king
Bad for legitimacy
In our world, monarchs are supposedly chosen by God, so it's not something you retire from it's who you are. That's how they justified it, at any rate. In Martin's world, the Targaryens are "better" than regular people, they're more like gods on earth, or so they claim, and their mastery of dragons makes people believe it. That kind of thinking doesn't lend itself to "I'm getting old, I should retire" thinking. It leads to Daenerys shouting "I am the rightful Queen and I will take what is mine with fire and blood!" entitlement to rule.
@@Seraphina-Rose still the dance could have been avoided if Viserys abdicated and passed the crown to Rhaenyra. That way the hightowers wouldn’t have been able to steal the throne in the manner that they did.
@@MarcusM334 you are missing the big logic in the story if Viserys abdicated and the crown pass to the named heir, and the hightower accepted her rule. There would be no dance of the dragons, instead we will have a happy disney story 😂
@@MarcusM334 Rhaenyra being heir is the one of the biggest reasons why the dance happens the other reason is Viserys having son after that these 2 combined are the reasons.
That "Royal Ship" makes me cringe every time I see it. Because it just beggars belief that the King and Queen of Westeros travel around the pirate-infested Narrow Sea in a lone little pleasure barge, with not even a single escort ship and having no dragon for protection.
Please cover Interview with a Vampire on AMC, it’s been really good so far!
3:06 second from left (in between cole and aemond) that’s surely Daemon rather than Aegon..
No, it's Aegon but somehow he looks younger than Aemond and her sister-wife
Question.. how come King Viserys appointed Otto as hand again…
Pretty sure that was Alicents doing. Viserys has pretty much given up trying to rein her in .
aemond look older than crispin cole now🤣
War would have never happened if they just honored the kings wishes and had Rhaynera on the throne because he did name her as heir. The dance of dragons war will be epic and also sad.
right now Aemond is the best character who has the courage to fight against the whole Rhaenyra gang. In the civil war, he will take down the children of Rhaenyra and the daemon alone.
good god the time jumps!
So with several time skips having happened does anyone know what year ep 8 will be in?
At the beginning it said ep1 was about 128 yesrs before the start of GoT, but how many years have past since then?
Ep8 is about 10 years later. Its the last time jump.
@@Hero_Of_Old but daemon will still have 3 other kids with rhaenyra. Will we see them grow up or will they be invloed in the war? Would be weird if there are no more tike jumps when we still have to see 3 other kids

About 175, not 128
From ep 8 you will be in the actual timeline of the dance of the dragon and this time line will stay for quite a long the best thing is the actors won't change now, only new additions
8:47 that punch looks like it did literally nothing to Aemond.
he's goth and clearly embraced suffering to the point where he does not feel pain anymore lol
Aegon 2 looks like how Aemond would look and vice versa
The time jumps and some actors aging while others do not make the ENTIRE show seem ridiculous and barely make sense.
I feel like they got the adult actors for aegon and aemmon reversed…. Am I the only one who see’s that?
No, it's perfectly fine as in the book Aemond is described as more macular and warrior while Sargon was weak and just sat on throne everything else was done by aaemond
@@jyotisingh7482 that’s all fine and dandy, but that doesn’t change the face that they are cast backwards from how they’re younger counterparts look in the face…
Not sure if I’m the only one that noticed but why does the grown up version of Aemond has the patch covering his right eye (in the still shot) when his left eye was sliced in the previous episode?
Yeah I thought so too but in a Google image search that exact same still shot is with his left eye. Somehow the image got flipped for the video cover shot.
no one mentioning just how good the young and current alicent actress look alike.
At first glance I thought Matt Smith was playing two characters
If we are going by the cannon, if the year is 129 AC (the year Viserys dies) the characters ages are as follows:
Aegon - 22
Aemond - 19
Jacerys - 15
Lucerys - 14
Ser Criston doesn't seem to age.....🙄
They should have switched the casting for Aegon & Aemond
At this rate 2 seasons is perfect to fully wrap up the story. Anything past 2 seasons is just a money grab
There’s 7 generations and about 150 years between this and the last Targaryen . I don’t think 2 seasons will tell all that story since that’s the plan.
but the rate will change drastically when they stop with the time jumps next episode
i agree. Unfortunately, i heard it will last 4 seasons. 😬
@@TheKanyinsola yeah but the dance of the dragons doesnt last that long. It ends with a marriage between rhaneras/daemons son and alicents grandson. Not 7 generations lol. they arent going over that part. they are covering a particular story that already has a written ending.
@@samluca945 oof, I heard that as well. Well so far its really great so I cant complain yet. But knowing the full story already I dont know what theyre going to do with 2 full seasons extra. maybe shorter seasons? like 6-7 episodes like the last ones of GOT did. So far its really good. Hope it stays this quality.
Aegon looks younger after the time jump than before
The absolute Giga-chad did it! He rode and tamed Vhagar and beat and beasted the very *STRONG 💪🏾BASTARDS! ALL HAIL THE GREEN AND TRUE PRINCE AEMOND ONE EYE!* 👁️ 🤴🏼
7:31 I think those in the background are the Cargyll twins.
Ser Erryk and Ser Arryk
Aegon looks like joffrey
Okay but why does Aemond look so much older than Aegon?
Well, in this picture on the main page
of this video, the patch is on the wrong eye.
Nobody does it better mate 👍🏾
What is a "bloodliest" event?
really hope that everyone is wrong and that short guy is the fourth child of Allicent and not Aegon, he looks nothing like his younger self----not curly hair, not slender figure, nothing
uhh....well...I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that is indeed aegon lol
Its Aegon
The Aegon replacement is horrible. all of the others look similar. Aegon should look like Daemon. They made Aegon look like a weak Twitch streamer. Teenage Aegon was a good cast.
Rhaenys poisoning Viserys... I don't know about that one chief
Aimond got tall as fuck, almost expected to see the roles reversed with those two actors playing the brothers.
I swear to all that is holy if that's aegon I'm dropping this show
Is it just me or did y’all not notice the switcheroo? I thought it was his left eye that got slashed? Hmmm
The shot is flipped
It's still the left eye. Nothing's change.
It's still the left
What if that's Daeron? If that's Aegon, he looks relatively younger than Aemond..
I really enjoyed how the cousins beat the shit out of Aemond
is that really Aegon II? Looks more like Daeron ._.
this show been going on for 30 years
lol
The queen kills the king and the battle between cousins begins
Man..Aemond looks good with long hair and eyepatch...
But did Aemon age backwards ??
Regarding Driftmarkband the title, another reason to take it from Jace is to keep the Crown from absorbing it.
The Duke of Edinburgh title is a perfect example. It was Prince Phillip's and they (the Queen and Prince) want it to go to Edward. However the title is officially inherited by the eldest son, who is Prince Charles. Now that Her Majesty has passed, all previous titles King (not Kung, Google) Charles held were absorbed by the crown to be retired (and reused as the monarch saw fit).
This means King Charles can give the Dukedom to anyone, but will more than likely follow his parents wishes.
Translating this to the HotD world, If it stayed with Jayce, it would be absorbed into the Westeros crown, meaning ANYONE could become Lord of Driftmark, not just a Veleryion so passing it to Luke bmeans it stays tied to blood (or name at least) vs a King or Quees whim.
*Edited as I called Prince Phillip King at one point. While he was a "king" of a man, it was not his title and it's hard for the rest of my argument to be taken seriously with such a dumb mistake - just used to saying "King and Queen" that my brain autocorrected.
Ole one eye has a date with the optometrist
aemond look like older than aegon II here but at epi. 7 aegon II is we bigger and older
Your thumbnail images reversed looks like he's lost the wrong eye lol
Apparently Aegon is also Benjamin Button cuz WTF how does he look so much more younger and baby-faced compared to his more chiseled/mature-appearing “younger” self lol
Great breakdown and analysis here, even down to costume detail and other production aspects. Yes, it’s possible ‘The Queen Who Never Was’ might have poisoned him😱Alicent and Rhaenyra’s rift doesn’t seem probable
