I’m agreeing with some of these comments on the series so far, however, we must remember that there was a writers strike prior to this taping. I can see how it wasn’t written as greatly as it could have. The two part series and rushed scenes and connections. I think they didn’t want to lose the momentum of the show so here we are. Also, Colin’s personality has never been secretive or coy. He doesn’t really play the long game. As Violet stated, he has always been the sensitive and aware child. I don’t think he could have waited as long as Simon and Antony did. He has always voiced his feelings and desires when they presented themselves. Hello, look at with Marina. He was ready to marry her quickly and professed his love early. He’s a hopeful romantic just like Pen. So it being rushed makes sense based on personality.

You’d suppose one would put a character on a scale to find the right balance between reason and insanity/crazy but it would seem in Autum’s case they went complete batshit crazy time bomb end of the scale… im sure she a fine actor but maybe not a role for her if not the writers/directors fault🫢 The Series is a 6/10. Imo the hippie role dragged it down a notch

My theory is that this movie goes very deep, more than I expected. If you want a quick- read, skip to the "recap" below. It approaches philosophical themes and also how we view life & religion (several mentions to God, Messiah, 666 people etc). The "Administration" is the "nature" (or how life appears to be, void of consciousness, as the wise man says, but it is abundant) and the level you get is randomly set when you are born. The nature has something in place for everyone (which in the movie is everyone's preferred food). And you also bring a gift in this "world". Some bring a book, a ukulele, even a surfboard - but some bring a knife and get territorial. Also we notice that violence is rewarded (in the movie that's how they get on a higher level next month). So, given these rules of the game, the movie also comes with a solution: it takes more than one man with good heart that has been down and seen and lived the horrors to willingly sacrifice themselves after the reached the top levels to win other people in this "fight" and if they don't cooperate, then to use force (the wise man says that dialogue comes first) and also make sure the ones who cooperate see the results (so transparency from the top level to the bottom - in real world would mean to make sure all the donations can be traced and the ones who did that can see the reactions of the people who benefit from their donations - there are actually some donation foundations to make sure they record this part) And this movement should have a symbol and a message, to make it work. The wise man says there is a slight chance the people from level 0 could get a message - in the movie they didn't get it from the first as they were thinking the panna cotta was refused because of a hair. Which means more attempts would be necessary. There's place for debate who is on the level 0 - this could be the richest billionaires on Earth or actually even "higher" than that (which would be something like the humans/aliens/AGI who is "pulling the strings" of our world). To recap: - The world has the right "food"/place for everyone - The problem is the use of weapons/violence that makes people to take control and get a hold of resources (and occupy top levels) - And then the greed and lack of empathy once they are in the top The solution: - More than one self made rich person that invites to dialogue other rich persons to make sure everyone has their basic needs met /universal income (and maybe also use some form of punishment if there's a lack of empathy for the ones below)

I liked S2 more then S1. Biggest gripe with S1 was everyone trying to keep secrets from each other, and it felt like the plot was kinda stalling because the main character didn't want to talk about the void with anyone. But that's all gone now finally.

I am convinced that some big plotholes are there for a reason, to make the ultimate twist huge... That said i hope the writers of this story have allready written it out so far so that amazon prime doesn't have to think twice about renewing the series for a third season. I hope they are not cancelling it after some people demanding too many awnsers to questions that can't be awnserd in a few episodes, like your usual netflix series these days... I really liked this season, more than the first, because the whole main thing in this story wasn't clear in the first one. Now we know that it's about time travel and i'm all in for that! The 1980 one I felt had more character development and was a lot closer to the book. The new one is good, but very streamlined and cut a lot of things.

I was so excited for season 2, I’ve been checking updates every couple months, watched it this past weekend and was disappointed.

Made very well, the series is very watchable, however season 2's plot/story arc feels insufficient the way so many middle sequels or books from a trilogy leave the viewer/reader hanging. Until the next season, I'll just imagine the hole will eventually take Royal into a timeline where he'll become Thanos or Cable or Gurney Halleck.

(Spoiler alert) Shady Sands was not around in 2077 so that bombing came after. We find out at the end that Hank blew it up after his wife figured out that people were on the surface and took her kids to Shady Sands became close with Moldaver. For her indiscretion Hank blew the thiving community that Lucy had described was so beautiful and real not recognizing it was real devastating the area making it so radioactive even the brotherhood would only go if they must. But being we know hank got out of his pod in Aug 9 2266 and being he likely married Lucy mom much like we saw with lucy and monty we can assume lucy followed 9 months later. Being her mom took both Lucy and her brother and lucy is like around 9 the bombing of Shady Sands happened somewhere around 2277 200 years later. Furthermore the reason it couldn't be 2077 was bc Max was a liitle boy on the surface during the bombing and he was quickly found and taken in to the brotherhood that doesn't look like that technology to put them on longterm life support doesn't fit their history.

Much like Dark, I cant get back into it. Just dont remember and the recap did not help. Exact same problem with Dark. Too much time between seasons has the show feeling disconnected directionless.
