      You do realise that the DQ200 can only support a maximum of 250NM Torque which the engine tune is already calibrated to, right?. That pretty much rules out the Stage 2 ecu remap 😁 and the aftermarket air intake unless its a stock replacement filter. Lowering springs with a good set of dampers and better wheels and tires should pretty much do the trick; Valvetronic exhaust is for ricers, lets spare the Slavia DSG, shall we?

    The 1.0l variant is more preffered in my opinion because of its power and the gearbox,the space and features of comfort and convenience
    The big part of this car is the looks and the sharp road presence gives a upmarket feels to it.At last I can say I am in love with this car 😍😍

  • @asun468

    Pricing of Slavia is perfect and will pull in lot many customers. I think Skoda quickly learned from the pricing of Octavia which was somewhat higher than what it has to offer.

    • @singapore1652
      @singapore1652 Před 2 lety +3

      Octavia is real Skoda but not slavia. In Octavia you will get the feelings of heaviness of the parts and the original built quality and we can not easily compare with slavia. The reason of price difference is mentioned in my other comment.

      DSG not perfect choice for start stop traffic, 1.0 with Torque converter automatic would be more reliable. Unless this traffic reason is just for telling the family, but really what you want is to be a Schumacher of the expressway, for pure driving fun DSG is the gearbox. Driving Skoda Rapid DSG since 2015, puts a smile on my face everytime I press the throttle and I forget the Rs 65000 paid for mechatronics replacement of the gearbox.

    Sedans should work on adjustable air suspension sort of innovations for rough roads but also to cruise in highways low slung. the slavia 1.5 looks promising.

  • @GoodBalak
    @GoodBalak Před 2 lety

    Oh wow. I really wanna get this 1.5 TSI, so waiting for that promotion desperately, lol.
    2 concerns:
    1. Got to get TDs of both the manual and DSG. The launch control in DSG concerns me, because my Venue iMT also has this issue where it won't rev beyond 1500 rpm during launch. That's a common problem with clutch wear control by manufacturers.
    2. Have always looked away from sedans because of the low GC, but got to check it out in person to believe it.

    Which one is more mileage friendly

    • @seemanchalmohanty646
      @seemanchalmohanty646 Před 2 lety +1

      go for 1.5 manual , as its 4 cylinders which switches off at constant speed hence more mileage .

    • @akshaydhanorkar
      @akshaydhanorkar Před 2 lety +6

      Actually, 1.5L will give you more milage if you drive it sedately...because of cylinder deactivation technology...also on highways at cruising speed like @100 KMph, 1.5 will run more relaxed compared to 1.0L because it doesn't have to work that hard like 1.0L, and if you have 3-4 passengers in the car, then the difference will be even more...!
      So you might get better fuel efficiency in 1.5L again...!

    Not sure how many Indian buyers would shell upwards of INR 22 lacs on this sedan when Harrier and Safari and other so called soft SUVs are in the same price bracket. Skoda could have made the pricing more attractive. I was really gunning for 1.5 ltr for myself but the pricing has instantly made me go away from Slavia and look for other options. After driving Honda City Automatic, a person like me would always prefer a faster 4 cylinder engine.

      It packs the looks, features, performance, luxury and comfort which not all the SUV's offer. It won't sell like hot cakes, but it will surely change people's opinions about a dying segment now.

      Name me a faster 4 cylinder engine at this price bracket ! I’m not talking about just the power output but real world acceleration timings . Nothing comes close in this segment , nothing . Neither does the harrier or safari .

      @@gurnihal12 Mass market will mostly look into value for money. Am not saying its a bad car but most car buyers when signing the check will think from the mind rather than heart. As a car buyer am saying this. Rest if someone wants to spend 20+ lacs on a sedan then it's their choice.

      @@sakrokz Agree that it won't sell much but that's what Skoda needs to aim. Sadly it is not been able to understand the market like Hyundai, Kia, Tata, Mahindra, Maruti and Toyota does. Even luxury car makers have a sound strategy to keep growing in Indian market.
