i've never seen an oboe that has an individual part for the octave keys/reed well?? seems like a cool tool though!
Yeap it’s not vry common but it’s the Marigaux M2
Sounds like probably not worth it. I resorted to periodically removing the octave cups in my old cor anglais to clean them, it was such an issue (90s rigoutat). I think sometimes the design of the instrument doesn’t help…
Don't eat stroopwafels before playing though. You'll definitely have water (and more) in the Octave holes😅.
But an interesting device nonetheless.
