Thank you so much for taking the time to do the review. I saw these and like you tried to find any information from people actually using the thumb rest. I can see they are worth a try!

Thanks for the review, I've wondered about this thumb rest. I have suffered with my thumb rest and intense callouses for years Great review.

Hi, I'm an oboist in Chicago, and I appreciated your CZcams review! Thank you! You provided good information. I bought a Howarth also (and LOVE IT like you!), and not only am I having issues w/weight, but I'm having problems w/the larger spatula keys because my hand is small. I'm not sure this thumbrest would work for me, but I'm trying to think of what it would be like having a little wider stretch around the oboe with that thumbrest.

Thanks for the review. I reckon you had to pierce new holes on your oboe. That's a bit of a downer. I am considering buying it. I hope it is a direct fir for my Uebel clarinet.

Would it work for a small hand (7 year old girl), or would it be too bulky (taking the hand a further 1 cm off the instrument)? Her hand is very tight and she has problems sealing rh notes on the Clarinet.

Very useful review thank you, I'm not sure how all that on the back would fit into a case or do you have to keep sliding the thumb bit on and off? It would be more useful on my Cor Anglais instead of using a sling possibly?

I am on my 2nd one and I too love mine. However the reason I am on my second one is that I crushed my first one because it did not come with a hard storage case and it doesn't fit in the clarinet case and I had a hard time storing it. How do you store yours?

Hi! I was wondering if you think this would help with wrist and hand pains like carpal tunnel. I'm a senior in high school and I have carpal tunnel and I am going into music.....so it kinda sucks right now haha. Do you think this would help?

Most of the information that is in the video is not true. The right hand has to keep prying the clarinet up because the clarinet keeps falling to the left due to the slanted profile of the thumb groove. The player has to fixate it in their lips and that is not right. The hook is movable. It turns on a hinge. This pinches the skin between the hook and the plate. The hook movement does not allow playing chromatic notes from e1 to b1 flat. Your clarinet completely dances in your hand, causing more trouble than good. I am very sorry to buy this supplement. It does not address the stability of the clarinet, which keeps falling to the left. The rest with the rubber hook touches the sensitive area at the base of the thumb and there is not much muscle there, it hurts a lot. When a clarinetist plays the f1 note, his instrument rotates in its longitudinal axis. It is not good.
