  • It appears in this video, that either the fan is bad, the port is dead or I have a setting off via BIOS to shut off ARGB. Apologies for not having a perfect video...it happens unfortunately. We will probably redo this with a better motherboard in the near future and different CPU.

I was pleasantly surprised how good this cooler is for the price, you can't go wrong with it

Hello, I have seen many videos of reviews of this cooler, so I have a question and I hope you can help me. There are many people who did not place that piece of iron that you placed down behind the motherboard (exactly behind the processor), so my question is: Do I need to put this piece or is it unnecessary? By the way, my motherboard is Asrock B550M Steel Legend. I will be happy if you answer me

In the video he is using a motherboard with an Intel socket (1700 to be exact).
Since youre on AMD's AM4 Socket (judging based on the B550 Motherboard you mentioned), you wont need to put a backplate behind the motherboard to install the cooler.
Your motherboard comes with one already.
you can refer to the cooler's manual, that can be found online, to check how to install it.

If the motherboard has no rgb output pins ou can gets kits that run their own light controller like the "upHere 5V PWM ARGB LED 120mm Case Fan". They can run off their own button control or you can solder the leads to the reset switch to change colors.

Just noticing bad camera angle at the beginning...on top of: It appears in this video, that either the fan is bad, the port is dead or I have a setting off on the motherboard for the ARGB. Apologies for not having a perfect video...it happens unfortunately. We will probably redo this with a better motherboard in the near future and different CPU.

Hi ! Thanks so much for demonstrating how to install it. Looks so much easier than the freaking Hyper 212, the process is so fiddly. Did you manage to get the ARGB running ? I saw that they fixed stuff up in their BIOS updates so maybe it was just a matter of updating ? I am actually looking to buying the same exact motherboard for my i5-13500 (or 13600K not sure yet) so I appreciate the vid :) Is that the only ARGB connector ? Cause I'm planning on adding a 120mm ARGB fan so not sure if that + the CPU cooler's pin would fit or are they different headers to plug into ? I'm pretty new to the whole RGB stuff so it's confusing. Thanks again !

@@astrolivier76 Isn't ARGB fans supposed to be 4 pins ? I'm not sure, I've never used ARGB fans yet.

@@KrazyShark Hi, No, like the video, this is a 3 pin, but I found a video and we can see that I must to activate an option in the bios. I will try this more later, I'm working now!

Hello, I have a question, my motherboard doesn’t have places to place the back part of support for the cooler is that a big problem or I can use with just front parts already attached on motherboard?

I recommend not tightening the metal brackets, and dry fit the heatsink first (screw heatsink on metal brackets without removing protective plastic or adding thermal grease) then tighten the metal brackets, remove heatsink. Test the metal bracket locations by dry fitting the heatsink one more time, then remove plastic, add thermal grease and install/tighten the heatsink all the way. Otherwise you may find yourself not being able to align the heatsink screws properly, thus causing a mess...

Hola, no es contraproducente volocar el ventilador alli? Digo, no seria mejor colocarlo del lado contrario ya que asi bota el aire caliente mejor, o es que el ventilador aspira aire en lugar de expulsarlo?

Thanks for the video, the only thing stopping me from buying this ThermalRight cpu cooler is that I've seen some people in reddit or videos saying that the LGA1700 brackets and overall pieces doesn't come included and also was able to see ThermalRight selling the kit separately for a higher price than the actual Cpu Cooler, I need suggestions for a Cpu Cooler on the MSI PRO B760M-A WiFi DDR4 with i5-13400F

In terms of performance, they are pretty much the same. Just get whichever one has the best deal on it. Get the Peerless Assassin though, not this model in the video, as the Peerless has better performance and is often cheaper.

ARCTIC P12 PWM PST RGB, Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 RGB, DeepCool RF120 RGB are 4-pin RGB fans that work. If you find any on offer over the more popular ARGB 3-pin.
