In this video I used Press and Seal, but Aluminum Foil works great too. The advantage of Press and Seal is you can see the Citristrip through it to make sure everything is covered.
Please advise: I used Oracal 651 w/the Citristrip and after a few minutes I noticed the vinyl was wrinkling up which caused the bleeding to happen. I used the heat gun also to adhesive to stick better but that didn’t help. Tried it 4 times and the vinyl wrinkles every time.
Hi! Oracle 651 should work just fine. Is it older vinyl maybe? Sometimes it loses its stick. My favorite vinyl to use is Teckwrap. I've never had an issue with Teckwrap vinyl and Citristrip. Here is a link from Amazon to what I use: amzn.to/3ORc2YQ.
I’ve found Citristrip turns my stencil soft and mushy after about 10 min. I’ve tried several brands. Maybe I should try a newer bottle.
Hi! How old is your Citristrip? It used to have different ingredients, so if it’s old enough that might be the problem. Also, have you tried Teckwrap vinyl? That’s my favorite one. Never have issues.
@@BeesKneesSVG Thanks for the quick replay and information. I couldn't determine the age of my stripper, but it appears that it contains NMP, which apparently is no longer used. From what I can tell, both old and new tell you "Do not use on fiberglass, plastic or vinyl." I've also seen a similar citrus product called Smart & Easy. Guess I'll try a new bottle to see if that helps.

Give it another try. I switched the file type to a zip file so it'll automatically pop up for you.

Hi! It has to be a powder coated tumbler. Most tumblers you find in the stores are powder coated. If you painted it yourself, however, it will not work well.
