  • As we are back to high effort powerpoint video presentations, in this video I give a review of St. John of Damascus' Book I on the Exposition of the Orthodox Faith. St. John of Damascus is one of the most significant Church Fathers, and his writings on the Orthodox faith is treated as a systematic theology book par excellence, he is highly revered both east and west and his life is inspiring, for the life of St. John of Damascus, watch this: • Islam, Holy Icons & St...
In Book I, St. John mostly talks about the nature of God, the Holy Trinity and essence energies distinction. The essence energies distinction in particular is a key aspect of St. John's theology as this video shows. I also talk about the filioque since St. John's theology strongly rejects the filioque and in fact openly advocates for what we Orthodox call "the energetic procession" of the Holy Spirit from the Father through the Son, which is not to be confused with the filioque, since the energetic procession of the Holy Spirit does not speak of the Holy Spirit being caused by the Son as the Roman Catholic dogma teaches (See Council of Florence Session 6) but that the Holy Spirit in God's energetic activities both ad intra and ad extra proceed from the Father through the Son.

Jesus states at least FIFTY TIMES - 50 - in all different ways that God is made by THE FATHER AND THE SON!!! PERIOD. Why don't people listen to Jesus? WHO had the BRILLIANT IDEA that God is made by THREE different divine persons instead???? I am not blind: I can see that three NAMES of divine persons are mentioned in the gospels! JESUS DOES NOT LIE: God is indeed made only by the Father and the Son. It simply means that the three names SOMEHOW MAP ONTO 1. THE FATHER AND 2. THE SON. I know this "mapping concept" was difficult to grasp by people of ancient times, but now we are in the third millennium! (by the way, the Holy Spirit is the Father again, in the form of a spirit).

Unfortunately the "basis theology" is wrong. According to the "basis theology" (i.e. the invented trinity doctrine) Jesus is supposed to be always together with 1. Father and 2. Holy Spirit. Since the Father is a spirit, Jesus is thus supposed to be together with TWO Spirits: the Father - who is a spirit - and the Holy Spirit. That is FALSE: Jesus is ONLY WITH THE FATHER (who is a spirit): "The hour comes, yes, has now come, when you will be scattered and on your own. You will leave me alone. Yet, I am NOT ALONE because THE FATHER is with me."... JESUS TELLS YOU HE IS ONLY WITH THE FATHER (I can quote twenty more verses). Jesus is NEVER with two Persons, hence the trinity doctrine and the "basis theology" are false. A. "Father who is a spirit" and B. Holy Spirit are not TWO different Spirits, they are the SAME One, just two EQUIVALENT NAMES. Since the Holy Spirit comes from the Father, this means that "the Father who is a spirit" comes from "the Father who is NOT a Spirit" (absent).

@@claudiozanella256 ahhh so you know more than the direct disciples of the Apostles who all believed in the Trinity? Trinity is not invented, it's revealed by God and biblical. David Erhan and Jay dyer have many videos on the Trinity if you are interested. If not, why are you here?
