Joe Taslim was such a perfect casting for Bi-Han’s Subzero. Expertly portrayed such a chilling and ruthless character and combined that with his fantastic martial arts ability. Him and Sanada stole the show

Have to admit Kuai Liang discovering that Bi-Han is evil is one of my favorite storylines in the game and him becoming the second Sub-zero and grandmaster is amazing, teaming up with Scorpion, I hope in the sequel we see him team up with Scorpions descendant and we see Noob Saibot
Well…he was not perfect of course but he never killed anyone it was Quan Chi actually but this movie messed it up

Well it was a much better dicision for a movie to drive the scorpion revenge home. The whole plot twist with quan qi would hv ruined a lot of things.
Bi-han in the 2021 movie kind of mixed him and Noob Saibot together.
I remember watching a bts discussion and Joe was saying how incredibly heavy his sub-zero costume was. He sweated so much and his body got pushed so hard keeping strong and fit enough to move in the costume that he lost a ridiculous amount of weight
Joe Taslim was so fast the cameras wouldnt pick up his movements so they asked him to slow down. loved this dude since he played Sargent Jaka in The Raid Redemption
This should've just been a Scorpion/Sub Zero movie. I feel like that's what someone wanted to do at some point but they were forced to make it an entire Mortal Kombat film.
Bacisañly, the scenes that included the two or at least one of them are considerable better Quality (visuals, camera work, directing.etc)than any scene that don't involved them, it's like 2 movies parches in one, with one being wayy more rushed and sloppy
Joe really did it perfectly as a Sub-Zero. I hope will see him as Noob Saibot and see the 2nd Sub-Zero (Kuai Liang) 🧊❄️

If they just replaced the protagonist with Johnny Cage and Scorpion were more in the movie, it would have been perfect.

Sub-Zero is my favorite Mortal Kombat 2021 character in the show.
I''m willing to bet he''s Bi Han because the main proof is missing, if you look closely at Sub Zero''s face in the new Mortal Kombat game 1, you''ll at least find one of the best marks that''s not visible. But on the other hand, Kuai Liang's eye color in the Mortal Kombat X game is the same as Bi Han in the movie, of course you have to remember that Bi Han was Bi Han before he became Sub Zero. Both brothers are my favorite characters in Mortal Kombat so i''m keeping my fingers crossed for both warriors!
I noticed a detail that caught my eye when i looked at Joe Taslim''s Bi Han, that the mask of Sub Zero in the new Mortal Kombat game is a bit strangely similar to Bi Han's mask in the movie, which i think is a new proof of Sub Zero''s identity in the new Mortal Kombat game.
The mask is better seen in the new gameplay trailer on Sub Zero''s face.

The funny thing is that Cole Young is essentially a play on the words "Kuai Liang" - the name of the second Subzero and BiHan's brother.
Unless they decide in the sequel to add a plot twist that Cole Young is descended from both Hanzo and Bi-Han.

Sub-Zero's ice sword the Kori Blade was made out of a resin with a plastic wrap-type of film inside to give it an icy look under lights.
I love the casting in this movie. Love the fight scenes as well. BUT....the story needed work. I mean a lot of work. The 1995 original had a better story.
You don't need story in a Mortal Kombat movie. At all. The problem with this one is it TRIED to make one. The original that you praise so much for its story as well as the first Mortal Kombat game is basically Enter the Dragon with a fantasy twist. It isn't original in the slightest. And it DOES NOT need to be. People love the original movie because it was a kickass action movie that didn't take itself more seriously than necessary. Do away the story, put a simple hook in and just let them fight. There doesn't need to be more story than that. EVERYONE is there to watch their favorite characters fight each other anyway. If anyone expect more than that, they're delusional and misled. I don't want art school bullshit ruin pop corn flicks. If I want high art, I'll go watch high art. I watch Mortal Kombat for one reason only. To watch people beat the shit out of each other.

Sub-Zero (Bi-Han) and Scorpion (Hanzo Hasashi) were both humans who died then became supernatural beings after being resurrected. Because they both still have blood, there must have been a portion of their humanity they were permitted to keep after they cheated death.
As i know Bi- Han and his brother never died. They inherited the ability to control the ice ,from their father who was cryomancer . At least this what i ve read twenty years ago.

Do not confuse their Subzero identity with Noob Saibot. They are both cryomancers from Lin Quei clan , and they were always supernatural beings since they were born.
From a classic one to here, Joe Taslim were the bewt Sub-Zero ever.
Bi-Han's hands bleed because of the ice. After he becomes Sub-Zero, he no longer bleeds.
