So Cole’s like Hanzo’s great great great grandson. I was expecting some sort of touching moment, because Cole’s literally the only connection Hanzo has to Harumi and Satoshi and his nameless surviving child.
I hope they just make Scorpion the lead character next time. I couldn't give a damn about Cole's family throughout whole film vs I instantly felt sad for Hanzo's despite a very limited screen time. That's just how great of an actor Sanada is. Stop sidelining such a great actor Hollywood.

Actually I think it's something else... I saw the movie with subtitles and just when Scorpion opened the portal you hear a voice saying something like "it's time to return Hanzo" and the subtitles said exactly those words at that moment... I think they are implying Quan-chi's existence

I think he's supposed to be kinda forced and awkward. It makes sense that this would mainly be a Scorpion vs Subzero fight because Bi-Han and Hanzo lived way different lives to what Cole lived up to this point. Subzero and Scorpion are supposed to be leagues ahead of him. He's just kinda there to assist when he can in a fight where he's vastly outmatched.
We have to remember as well that Quan chi is the real person responsible for the deaths of Scorpion's family and clan. He manipulated Hanzo into killing Bi-Han. Bi-Han wouldn't have become Noob Saibot if it wasn't for that damn sorcerer.
Not everyone has to agree but Cole and Scorpion teaming up against Bi-Han was amazing, shows how powerful Sub Zero has become, also Scorpion already had a huge role in Scorpions Revenge so it’s only fair he gets reduced screen time in this movie

Bruhhh...I noticed that when Scorpion went back to Hell, you can kinda sorta hear whom I can only assume is Quan Chi say “Hasashi Hanzo. Scorpion.” He is the real reason for the beef between Scorpion and Sub-Zero, but in this new take on MK. It looks like Sub-Zero intentionally did what he did, but you never know, since we’re getting 4 sequels to it.
I loved this movie... I remember playing MK 2 in the arcade, hoping if I lost, my opponent would at least do a fatality, since I didn’t know any at the time 😆
The fight was cool. The only thing I didn't like was that they changed the storyline completely. It was Quan chi who killed scorpions family and blamed it on subzero. The real story was yes subzero killed scorpion in the mortal kombat subzero mythology game and yes scorpion was human at that time. Long story short the reason why Quan chi killed scorpions family and blamed it on subzero because Quan chi wanted revenge on Bi Han for defeating shinnok by taking the amulet that shinnok used to escape from prison that the elder gods put him in because he was a fallen elder god. Quan chi gave scorpion the hell spawn power and was cursed to never die again and live forever even though scorpion was already dead and can't never die liked I said.

Sub-Zero is still a badass though. Took two guys to beat him, and literally stood up and took 2 to 3 steps after being stabbed in the heart and finally getting burned.

That’s old Sub Zero in the games (Bi-Han). When Bi-Han dies he becomes Noob Saibot and his younger brother takes over the mantle of Sub Zero.
