    I love how every analysis of Ange's tactics has slightly varying interpretations of how his team sets up and think that's pretty cool

      No. Premier league coaches will find a way to stop angeball. It will depend on how fast they do that and how many tricks Ange has up his sleeves to adapt to that.

      @@donaldo981it will be down who is fit as not all players are able to play this way, hence fact we have made so many changes this season, all other players like Dier are not able to adapt and don’t have the technical ability.

      @@donaldo981I’m confident ange has the tactical ability to adapt. Seeing the changes at 1:0 vs Luton he did switch to hold the win. I think he is actually very astute

    06:55 this was a trademark pattern under at Ange at Celtic with Greg Taylor going beyond. Great video, Gary.

    Would be better to just look at the luton flanks stats first half. Second half kulusevski was the only out ball

    It would be interesting to see how a team should set up to play against this unbalanced system, given that Ange has had success for so long. In Australia watching the Brisbane Roar gave one the feeling that opposing teams and coaches just had no answer. They were unplayable.

    I hate the word Inverted ! Why cant people just say forwrd attacking full backs it makes more sense than Inverted ?

    • @adn17
      @adn17 Před 7 měsíci +12

      An overlapping fullback can also be attacking. The term inverted is used because the fullbacks plays in the middle of the pitch as oppose to on the flanks.

      Im sure theres easier ways to describe things wat the hell is an overlapping full back >Are you saying to enjoy watching football we all have to learn this new jargon ?@@adn17

      Another who thinks that term is over used, by people who really don't fully understand what it really means, modern quality full backs who can both attack and defend has far more meaning to most who watch football.

      So wat is an inverted defender ,is it a defender who is also a striker,,a defender who is also an attacker ,a defender who is a winger ,a defender who solely attacks down the middle ..Or one that does all of the above ? And while your at it explain Press ? To me its when the whole team play in the other teams half as if there playing five a side football ....But the Press can mean individual strikers attacking the goal ,or strikers and midfield attacking the goal ....My point is we had all these systems and players before all these new names came in wat did we use for years before ? @@nevillemignot1681

      Inversion doesn't simply mean "attacking". It means pushing from the outside toward the central channels in the attack.
      I support Celtic. I watched the Bhoys play Ange-ball for two years. My club under Brendan Rogers is top of the table, beating Rangers, and will likely win the league yet again. The difference in quality and pure entertainment value of the football from Ange to Rogers is obvious.
      Ange plays beautiful football with working class tenacity. Other managers cannot pull off that duality.
