- Tactical analysis of new Tottenham (Spurs) manager Ange Postecoglou's Celtic tactics. Postecoglou favours a 4-3-3 formation. His fullbacks and attacking midfielders are very important to his system. His Celtic team like to dominate possession.

Ange is jumping up a couple of levels over the SL(its not anywhere near Premier),I hope he does well, however, he will need some very good players coming in to play his style in EPL.Its one thing getting the job, his battle will be holding onto it.
Watched a lot of SPL football then?
@@henrymcvey6538 Yes plenty, a friend starts for StMirren and I follow ALL the Aussies who have gone there to strengthen the league.
Or the battle will be Spurs keeping a hold of him before Man City or Liverpool take him
@@markhalliday2397 In his dreams
@@palaneproductions7357 we’ll see. If he does a good job at Spurs then why not. He’s got ties with the City group, that’s how he knows PG.
Celtic supporter here. Give Ange a bit of time, you will see his magic. Just don't expect it all in the first handful of games.
Hes a trust the process kinda guy and thats why we love him here down under
He sawd in first 2 game
Didn't but got it ✌️
If Tottenham supports Ange Postecoglou as Liverpool did for Klopp, he will win the title.
Nice analysis.
Clear analysis, in and out of possession.
Ange is a phenomenal manager. If they keep kane and they manage to get a few younger players. I reallt expect spurs to challenge for top 4. Obviously all the top teams are becoming stronger but Ange is very underrated in the PL eyes. He knows ball
Brilliant!
With this type of HYPE, I cannot wait to see what he does in the League.
The one thing that i am surprised about now is how much advise Ange is getting from Spurs fans, but i do think if he can block most of that stuff out, and run his own race the better of Spurs will be in the long run........................
Ange won’t take their advice.😂
Advice from fans who are terrified of success and have never seen their team win for 40 years?
Get ready though. This Celtic fan can tell you joy is heading your way.
@@henrymcvey6538 Terrified for success, its the owners that dont want success not the fans, trust me our fan base wants it more than anything, idk maybe the fans are just aware of how bad defenders Tottenham have that's why they wanna advise him on CBs as a priority, but u right,he shouldnt listen to us,he should set down his own philosophy and build

Mate I’ve just lost this guy from my club. He’s a top guy who will be great for Spurs. With any luck his succeeding might force Levy out. If Levy gets in the way Ange will not stay! I was just commenting on how negative the fans comments seemed to be. I’m wishing you and `Ange the best believe me.
@@henrymcvey6538Forty years ?? I’m almost 50 & I’ve seen Spurs win plenty of trophies, domestic & European. If Spurs was in your farmers league then Celtic would get blown away, like they always do in the champions league. And Ange has never managed in a league as tough as this one.
Good Luck to Ange in the premier league which will be very different to SL where in effect he had to beat the only one challenger Rangers...
Hey I love the video. I’m writing an article and would love to talk to you about this video a bit more - is this possible ??😊
Thanks. Sure it’s possible. What did you have in mind?

It’s was the with same poch, the reason he got sacked is because he was over working them while playing a diamond midfield formation and expecting them to press, it was to exhausting for an ageing squad, postecoglu needs to overhaul the spurs squad.
he needs quality rotation players which Levy didn't think so
this season Spurs has no European football, they will be playing less games. Not to mention he can change up to 5 subs now.
He always keeps the triangles Ange does. Triangle combinations all over the pitch. The Premier league is a totally different beast, mind, but hopefully there are good times ahead. COYS.
Good coaching principles work everywhere. There's a reason he has won trophies everywhere he has been manager.
@@darrenjpeters Yeah, but like I say, the Premier league is a totally different beast.
@@davidbeeson9408 Best domestic league in the world, no argument. Ange was born for this. Just imagine the scenes if he brings a trophy to Tottenham.
@@darrenjpeters Yeah, some of us aren’t actually obsessed with this “trophy” thing. I’ve seen Spurs lift many trophies but I get what you’re saying. I just think we need to get away from the whole “trophy” bollocks. It’s an imaginary stick that the media & other fans use. I mean, I’ve never ever seen Newcastle win a trophy but we never hear about that, do we ? 🤔
@@davidbeeson9408 Mate, we are Spurs. The trophy thing will NEVER go away until we get the monkey off our backs. Opposition fans will never let it go. Newcastle are different, they don't have the rivalries that Spurs do. Easier for them to fly under the radar.
How are spurs going to play this style? they don't have the personnel. They need more midfielders. Is Porro going to be an inverted RB? Four at the back? Tottenham have a lotttt of work to do.
Porro has talent, but badly needs to learn how to defend. Ange typically plays a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, so four at the back is guaranteed. Porro is young, and hopefully coachable, and pretty good on the attack, I can see him being an Angeball player at some point.
I'm intrigued but I feel like there are too many high pressing teams in the PL. And they can punish the inverted fullbacks. Even MC's Lewis had horrible time against the newly promoted Burney. They went after him so Pep had to bring Silva down to play like a deep lying playmaker. He would need more skilled players. I think the Italian youngster fullback managed well but he also had some shaky moments. I think teams like Liverpool would have scored many more goals. They definitely need more skilled players. Also Son is so lost out there playing wide winger. Richie has to come out and work with the wingers but that's really not his style.
A poor United performance but Postecoglou’s tactics are starting to show. I hope he can bring in a couple more players before the window closes. I wonder if Son will play a more central role in future games too.
Wonder how he’ll do when teams press him……
What about his defensive tactics
He didn’t need any managing Celtic!
@@MrBlueFootball but he conceded about 5 in the champions league in one game
@@leoholder7839 Must be a shock for the players to suddenly go up a level like that. I'm sure he won't have the same issues at Spurs. Not sure what he can do about inverted fullbacks, though.
@@MrBlueFootball yeah fair, and re inverted fullbacks maybe Reguilon might have to be used or make Porro a winger and make Emerson a fullback again
Do you think he is not aware of Spurs defensive frailties. Watch the space!
Honestly the amount of people who make vids or comment about Scottish football and have no fucking idea about the league at all is staggering.
Looks like he wants Kyogo and Jota and Spurs will double their wages , Celtic will take the money when offered because this is the model. When the players want to go there is nothing they can really do. All this could have been avoided if the just gave Ange the pay rise to match Spurs , ask the fans Celtic are a bigger club so why not pay the managers accordingly , also giving them a descent contract , more than a rolling year, the ONLY team to do this.!
Not Kyogo I feel, Reo for sure. Celtic couldn’t have paid Ange enough to stay, it’s not about the money it’s about the challenge, what possibly could he have achieved by staying any longer, he’s 57 now he’ll be semi retired on a Greek island in another 5 years. Sorry mate but it was time to go.
@@daveweller9550 Are Spurs in the Champions league ? Are Celtic the bigger club or what? He went for the 8million a year surely the bigger club could have matched that easily
No mate, Spurs are currently a shit show, exactly what Ange stepped into when he came to Celtic.
Sure ha can have a decent crack at CL at Celtic but let’s be realistic about his chances, your just too far down the financial totem pole to really be a decent threat, surely you can see that?
Look you guys were fun while it lasted, I loved learning about Celtic and the SPFL but I am excited to see what Ange can do with a budget that can challenge the big boys in Europe. You can say your a bigger club and possibly when it comes to fan base you are, but in arguably the biggest football competitions in the world, your far from the biggest.
Silly comment. Scottish football cannot support the cash outlays you are talking about. Celtic are much bigger worldwide than Spurs but the Scottish league holds us back financially.
@@daveweller9550
In 4 years he’ll buy Greece😂
It’s a fact that you can not I repeat can not compare Celtic to Tottenham and the Scottish league to the premiership
With Ange around Spurs will be good enough if they can get a top 5 place next season.. otherwise at mid table. Ange is not at the level of A grade football manager in the premier league such as Klop, Pep, Tuchell, Howe, Umery or even Frank of Brentford.
Well, I think only time will tell. If he can get the right balance of players in his experience could show.
So you have seen him enough to make such assumptions?
@@ianoates378 tbh I saw more of his Yokohama Marinos team than Celtic. He did a fantastic job with them!
@@ianoates378 seen a few Celtic games in Champion League...but knock out at every rounds. But looking at how Brendan is doing at EPL...same results may happen to Ange...
He could be like Ten Hag, if spurs suport them. But, I think Levy won't support any managers.
ManCity will now beat us home and away.... Attacking football against City is a defeat without fail
more faces than the town clock, failed massively against any half decent team, out of work by Xmas
Too much running for N’domble he’ll be blowing after 5 mins 😂
Looks a bit to complicated for the dross we have at the moment
😂
I disagree with you, our players are attacking players and were never the right fit for Jose and Conte, I can see Bissouma, Bryan Gil, Kulu, Son, . Papa Sarr and maybe Lo Celso if he he is not sold thrive in a more attacking team.
Any dross will be swept out I assure you.
Its a process. If the 'lower leagues' he's managed in can pick it up surely an epl side on mils can
It’s football that players want to play, fast exciting attacking football, who wouldn’t want to get out there and do that?
