I'm telling you I can watch you explain boiling water. Wow! Look at this water it is the best! I love this pan it is amazing! I have bought several items now this last couple weeks from your shop and will only be buying from you from now on. Great products, great service.
wow what a amazing camera it is, the weatherchannel :D this joke really got me ROTFL .... nice fix again Alex 👍
Wow... I'm impressed with how nice the thermal camera is. Always put the effective smile on my face too.... Brilliant work.....
love it how you can diagnose an issue super fast and fix it. Years of experience and a repeated pattern you know what to look for.
I love your videos. You inspired me to fix my broken stuff thank you so much
Big fan big fan, I always use to wait for ur latest video update, never missed a single video of urs 🔥🔥
another fantastic video alex ..
Great camera, nice working demo.
Excellent work alex ❤️
You are a wizard Alex!
This camera made me find shorts that i never dream of fixing God bless you for sharing
Quick question. Did you replace the component or was it just fixed by removing it? If the latter then how does that work? Why have that component there?
So that capacitor is just a filter cap that makes the power nicer for the chip. There are tons more on the board, so losing one of them is no big deal.
@@An_Onion thanks I was curious as well
@@An_Onion then why does apple use it if it’s optional? How hard is it to throw another bypass cap in as a replacement? The value isn’t critical, I imagine he can get a tube of them and not need a donor component.
@@justin3594 There are many circuits which work without some component, they just work better /more reliable with that additional capacitor.
Pcb designer here, sometimes we need a minimum no of caps for the right filtration of noise and other stuff. Personally, I tend to add a couple extra caps or more on top of that if it's a mission critical component, otherwise maybe a couple max.
Love the videos Alex
Amazing repair!,💪 Well done!
It's saying you will be known, the company you keep but I will say you will be achived the success by keeping good quality equipments. Good going fastest fault finding. Keep the good work.

I love how you use your tools and make the repair soo easy and fast.... (though i dont think we'll get the same result hahah)
Awesome work I’m always your fan
Amazing job
Very nice fix. This lense is bringing really much details and its a very great upgrade for that cheap thermal cam. Great. Thank you for the video. Greets
Amazing thermal camera work awesome job bro keep rocking bro 👍👍👍
Very nice quick video. Very impressed with the thermal camera. I’m an electrician. And always wanted a thermal camera to troubleshoot on the job. They have always been very expensive. I’m a long time fan of your channel. Now, when in stock, I will buy a thermal cam from you. Thank you.
Electrician here too, I have had a thermal imager since my apprenticeship but bought it mostly for work around the house. I just sold it to buy a i260, cannot wait to receive it.
thermal camera wid macro lens mod was awesome !
Nice explanation of power on testing to indicate a short. That camera is amazing
Nice work thanks so much
Fault finding with the weather channel is cool...lol
Amazing product thanks 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful
Amazing!
Very good job 👏 👍 👌
He has the best price on the thermal camera amazon and others have it for over 500 i am awaiting the new shipment to place my order thanks brother keep up the great work
i have an older flir and ive been hesitant to order another, but man after seeing the results of this one i just cannot stand outside the fire anymore. bought one yesterday with the macro lens. got the same repair sitting waiting for it. i could fix it with my current cam, but i want to test out the uti260b! will post back my personal results.
Awesome camera ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
But can not purchase from your website, awesome video for discription for every thing you use, liked it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Keep it up 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Like a kid meeting/enjoying the best toy ever :D
good job
i have that camera. it blows me away for the price. UNI-T make some great products.
you are the best.
Nice!
Hi been watching your videos for about a year now, I have used them to learn so much more about micro soldering then most other channels. I now use these skill every day at my job now at another repair shop. something I was not expecting is just how many laptops where the CPU is the component that is shorting out. is this normal or have I been diagnosing these board wrong. Say most of these boards I am able to find a short on the coils, injecting some voltage into them the CPU die heats up under the thermal camera. Would i be wrong in stating that board is a no fix?
ultrafast repair thanks to the thermal cam nice
I like it👍🏾
nice Vedio ☮️👍
I have the same thermal camera!
It’s a great camera.
Definitely the best bang for the money.
The more affordable camera is amazing!
Great picture from that thermal cam. RIP Flir
Last palette is for "Predator" movie...nice 👍👍👍
"that last pallete makes me feel like im watching the weather channel" XD
Are you just remove the capacitor ? Or replace it?
He probably placed a new one later, doesn't really mater
@Savvas Savva
Blocking parasitic effects of the PCB traces und stabilizing the voltage for the IC.
Obviously bypass cap, you can remove it, but the signal is no more that smooth then (depends on other bypass caps nearby). Usually you have more of them to get a smoother signal. If you measure it with an oscilloscope you can see the differences.
He had to have replaced it. You don't remove components and leave voids unless you are absolutely positive that the effect of it being missing will not effect operations AND you have chosen to live with that potential problem. One doesn't make that decision for a customer.
you must be new here
Great Work. Can you show a Video how you remove the Display the best way without damage ? Would be nice
Спасмбо мастер+лайк.
@NorthridgeFix did you solder back working component or you just leave tha spot empty?
Awesome, but didn’t you replace that component?
What size is the lens its self ?
I want to make it fit on to seek thermal mobile version camera
What distance did you set in the camera settings ? 0.3 m by default ? Did you change something ?
Genius Bar: You need to spend $1000 for a new iPad
Northridge Fix: Hold my beer
Did you see the new laser solder station? LWS 301... in what scenario would it be helpful
That's amazing for that price 😮😀
The flir thermal cam you can get a macro lens for that too, we use this camera where I work.
Yes Flir Macro lens $4k-6k only ebay.us/CcMV3O and it won't be any more magical then what we saw in this video. The Uni-t with macro lens is a no brainer. A similar spec Flit will cost you at least 10 times as much.
@@NorthridgeFix Is the Macro lens separate or included with this model? Sounds like a separate device
@@andrewfreeman88 It's a separate item northridgefix.com/?s=uti260b&post_type=product
Did you just remove the damaged piece or replace it?
Hope y put on a new one.
Hello I’m first to like and share and comment best teaser and have the best team ever whic I could be part of the number 1 team in USA thank you sir
Maybe a stupid question, but do you just leave the broken part out? Why did the manufacturer then place it?
Same question: I know caps are sometimes not that important, but I guess there is a reason why they are in. Did you replace the component by a good one and just did not include de vid?
Just wondering, how can you remove a chip and not replace it and it works??
What headset do you use?
Please sir I have a question! Can the super io chip start up the laptop without bios chip ?
did u replace the cap or just removed it ? when do u replace compared to just remove and ship back to client.
would also like to know. We know some caps are expendable.
sir can this detect minor half shorting like
0.001
0.004
0.010..etc
plz reply
Why you didn’t replace that component (probably filter)?
This camera is better than t2l/t2s?
How do you know what value?
Assalamo alaikom my brother, i am from Philippines. I've been following you long time ago and watching your vid evey content that you posted. I have a question? How much the thermal camera that you have using in this content? In Philippines peso?
But what about the component you removed, why didn't you replace it?
Hello from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hertzegovina.
I follow every video of yours and I am thrilled with your technique because I am a fan of technology.
Did you replace the faulty capacitor in this video or did you just remove it to make the tablet work?
Well, not necessarily, I think it's probably a filter capacitor, in which case he can just remove the component and not put another back
He left it off. The capacitors surrounding a CPU in a laptop are just there to bleed off AC noise from outside interference to ground. Capacitors pass AC but not DC, so the DC power is unaffected but RF noise is sent to ground. He left it because, in a small thin laptop or tablet, there's no room for one big capacitor for this job, so they solder a bunch of smaller ones in parallel near each other instead. For example, if you need a 10uF capacitor to bleed off the noise, but it would be too big, you can put five 2uF capacitors in parallel instead. Parallel capacitors total capacitance adds.
So five 2uF caps in parallel is the same as one 10uF cap.
Since there are so many caps around the CPU, removing one probably only reduces the total capacitance a tiny bit. Probably less than the allowed tolerance of the total anyway.
Since you risk damaging the board replacing it more than the risk if you just leave it off, he just didn't put a new one in.
EDIT: You can kinda tell they are all in parallel and are just filter caps by how crowded they are and there's kind of a pattern to them.
It's not ALWAYS the case that caps can be left off because it's not always the case that they are for filtering noise and are just one among many doing the same job.
But in this case it was.
Go to 3:38 and you can see. It looks like a repeating pattern. That's a clue they are for noise and in parallel You can just kind of tell with experience.
@@derim006 no it has a purpose. It is used to clean a possibly dirty signal. @Amadonics told there are multiple capacitors that work together to do this job. But in reality, removing one capacitor isn't going to harm the electronics too much, it just decreases the filter effectiveness by a bit (but not enough to make it stop working)
@@AmadonFaul Thanks for your clear explanation!
@@derim006 He explained it very well. Those things are in parallel and if you remove one, the others will continue doing the job.
I didn't know that that Uni T thermal camera has a weather channel lol
What causes those micro components to go bad?
most likely a component that functioned but had an imperfection and was running hotter than spec, heat cycles slowly make it fail.
Do you deliver it in india
i love your accent, give me spirits to take my sword and shield for the great battle between humans and orcs.
When you plug the charging cable and seeing an amp draw from your meter do you disconnect the battery or not? Thanks!
He did not
Battery connected of course, otherwise iPad will not draw any amps.
@@NorthridgeFix thank you good sir.
Why you didn't replace the broken component??
Hello, while using thermal camera
First normal heat motherboard and then use therma camera it will clear the view
Just try it. You will get idea
Why you clamping? Is the Display Glued together or is this a flexible seal who need‘s the pressure?
It's called Better than Factory Seal using B7000 northridgefix.com/product/b7000-multi-purpose-glue-adhesive-for-phone-ipad-imac-screen-repair/ and Screen Clamps northridgefix.com/product/adjustable-metal-clamps-for-screen-fastening/
@@NorthridgeFix very nice. Thank you
But what about installing new capacitor?
How come you didn’t replace the component ?
Can you leave here the model of your multimeter please?
Thanks
Why did you stop using this camera and go back to the flir?
Seek compact pro with macro lens also gives silimar details in view. Only thing is ull have to use it with a phone.
Makes me think I am watching an image of the cosmic microwave background.
👍
Did you replace the component and just not include that in the video?
Hi sir i am intersting with your thermal camera, can iknow what the brand and how much money if i buy it, thank you.
Why is removing it instead of replacing it with a new one solve the problem?
You will be more impressed to see how much more detailed the image is under seek compact pro with macro lens. Nice video Keep exploring bro
Where to find laptop quote file
try this macro lense on your flir camera
That camera could see the weather without watching the news.
Uni-t decided to cripple their larger 320e model with just 9hz frame rate.
Where is the big boss?
so you saying that camera is better than yours?
That was an extra component not needed anyway.
What I always wanted to ask is, wether you are shipping to Europe, or only to the U.S?
Europe yes. Just choose your country during checkout.
@@NorthridgeFix Can ship to Israel ?
hello i emailed you a few times in regards to training, hope you get back thank you.
