I can unequivocally say that I have always picked up some new or old way of doing a project from your videos. Especially working with resin. Also, I like how you deal with some simple project that turns into a problem. THINK ABOUT IT.

This was a very informative video with a lot of cool ideas. that shot of you covered in dust pretty fking funny. anyway needless to say, I subscribed i’ll probably be binge watching your channel for the next couple of days I actually found your channel through another one where the guy called you some no-name CZcamsr 😂

      Sorry,
Electric sheet metal tools would have made your life easier.
There is a tool which looks like the wringer on an old washing machine that would have helped your hammered copper.
Sunlight UV curing works really well and fast on a "nice" day as long as you get uniform exposure. Works for UV cure hard finishes too.
This is the last comment, I hope I don't sound annoying ...

When my 3 year old doesn’t want to nap, we watch your videos. Inevitably he falls asleep and I get to watch supremely satisfying woodworking content. He won’t fall asleep to other woodworking channels (I’ve tried) but you’ve nailed the voice tone and machine volume.
    Thanks!!

Insomnia is not a problem anymore, but when it was, I picked up a habit of putting on something to listen to, so dark thoughts wouldn't overwhelm me.
The voiceover in your videos keeps the loud sounds of the tools down and makes them calming.

Which tbh I'd say take it as a compliment to those who find that you make videos that are good enough to help people fall asleep, as it's still beneficial to the human mind to learn right before going to bed. • @marcusvela2393

Also think of adding glue to both sides like adding resin to wood. Wood absorbs a lot of stuff in it, and the bond between the glue and wood is determined by the absorbed amount of glue, more glue absorbed will mean better adhesion and strength. So applying to both sides is optimal, however you need the added pressure of the clamps to ensure there's not any pockets of air that can weaken the glue, so it also will depend on how much glue you use as too much is just a waste. It's a balance between glue amount, pressure, and time to make a good bond.

I first off want to say thank you for long videos. I stay up late doing my college homework. I love getting to listen and watch in t breaks. My boyfriends that goes to bed early has to have the tv playing to fall asleep. I had workshop in my small town high school. While i watch your videos, i can reminded about all the projects and things i made in school. The teacher we had gave more skilled projects kids that were in the shop classes longer. So a fun memory I have making a scrap wood cutting board, the guy next to me was building a dog house. He furnished the roof and siding and then crawled inside and fell alseep. our teacher was not happy.

Insomnia is under-appreciated ;) I thoroughly enjoyed watching these over again.
My original reason for falling into the CZcams rabbit hole was woodturning videos. I was enthralled and wanted to make anything turned wood to the point I was trying to figure out how to make it work on my apartment porch. My daughter kept reminding me that I have a degenerative nerve problem and it would be highly dangerous. Plus, woodturning is an expensive hobby even if you buy second hand.
While I was bouncing around woodturning videos, I was also getting suggestions in my feed for woodWORKING videos. That's how I stumbled across your channel. Yes, your voice is relaxing but your work is intriguing and your commentary is hilarious. Thank you for putting together these videos that are informative, entertaining, AND relaxing.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday and I look forward to next year's offerings.

CAM A sub from a couple months ago. Im not a wood worker. Love your channel. Great dialog. Great humor. I like videos that do a great job explaining what's going on. And you nail it. Especialy when the worker or craftsmen are elite at what they do, and the level of care they take on evey minute detail. I watch this luthier "twoodfrd" for this same reason. I watch all your channels to the end they are that good. I rarely comment though. Insomnia - that was the name of my band when I was young.

Yes, you should take it as a compliment that people fall asleep to your videos!!!
Good music ( good metal music that is!! The more brutal, and heavier the music is, the faster i fall asleep!!) and good "science videos", and wood working videos are all i watch at night.
I have trouble falling asleep unless i watch or listen to one of the 3. I also have very bad sleep walking episodes, unless i keep music on ( or a movie on) all night long.

Cam! I absolutely put this video on to fall asleep. Now it’s 2:33 am, but I’m feeling inspired to get my shop together and get woodworking.

I have a confession..I having a warm spot in my heart for woodworking from my high school days...watched the entire video from front to back.
I will also admit my jealousy of your shop and the awesome tools and various machines it is equipped with.
Clearly I am impressed with your talent and most impressed with your persistence in perfection (or as close to perfect as possible).
I'm at this stage in my life 72 years young and still intrigued by the wonders of wood.
Please keep up the great videos as I am definitely one of your subscribers. Thanks Cam.

Insomnia lol. I enjoy watching your videos as it reminds me of watching my dad when I was younger. He was a qualified carpenter and joiner over here in the UK for many years and always made bespoke furniture for around our house. Sadly dad was taken from us over 20 years ago and watching your videos always brings a smile to my face and I'm sure if he was still alive he would enjoy them as well. I like the long format videos you do! Keep up the great work Cam

Cam, your video is awesome! A solution for insomnia.
I often talk to your videos with affirmations or suggestions that you never hear.
I also listen to videos in the car and then sometimes go back and watch what I missed. Thanks!

    I love your work.
The way you explain each step of what you are doing, showing mistakes as well as victories, is extremely educational. Big hug from the Azores islands.

Hi Professor Cam, you’re living the life. You’re not working with your hands, you’re creating works of art with your hands. I had shop in jr high and hi school back in the 60s. Electric, metal, and wood shop and I must say the most soothing, relaxing, and satisfying was wood shop. Your video’s should be shown in public schools to introduce and encourage kids to an enjoyable profitable future they can have in woodworking. Your demonstration and explanation in each project was top shelf.
    😊 Thank you

Insomnia doesn't mean bored... I wasn't... You touched on virtually every facet that came along during my ten years as an associate in the Aerospace Engineering Department of Texas A&M University... Tnere was a bit of Electronic requirement which is why I was hired in the first place, but the hands on toil on Student Graduate projects was by far the most rewarding... -pp
