This video follows the start to finish construction of a small, but very stylish, vacation home for one of our clients. We are calling it The Modern Mountain Getaway, and it features vaulted ceilings, a huge wall of windows, and lots of outdoor space for the owners zen garden! In this video we will highlight building techniques, building codes, order of operations, cost, building materials and tools used, and also even talk about the problems we run into during the build! This is going to be good fun.. And the best part is that you can rent this home for your own mountain getaway!!
This video is a very condensed compilation of a video series that we previously released comprised of 26 longer videos adding up to about six hours total content. This is a great way to catch all of the highlights in about a quarter of the time!

Probably the best Ryan's czcams.com/users/postUgkxGZedDTcDfgD7fG_uU4esfx_EgxzlY2_1 Plans on building a shed is hardly ever found. And Ryan takes the mystery out of different types of foundation options, etc. He even shows how to build a shed with different designs. Very comprehensive, covering different roofing materials, siding, etc.

I like the 2x placed between the stair stinger and the wall. I’ve seen a lot of homes built without it, but it sure makes things a lot easier with interior finishing.

A small tip when I was a sprayer over in Scotland and England when I was younger we used to carry a small tip with Vasoline or you might call it petroleum jelly then we would put a small amount around the eyes and the bits you might get overspray and then it comes off no problem whatsoever and you guys have the best airless units they’re are .peace and love from Scotland 👍💪🥃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Guys I have followed a few builder’s on CZcams but you have to be one of the best three that I’ve ever come across with an exceptional eye for detail the others would be Mike Holmes and the Essential Craftsman. All three are super talented people who I like to see. I used to be in the construction industry as a scaffolder but I had severe injury to my back in December ‘99 that nearly destroyed my life, it took nearly 10 years before I could get into some sort of work 😮, unfortunately it would never be Scaffolding ever again. I’m a engineer now and build scientific testing equipment for the PPE industry, it’s given me more scope and skills to my life, thanks for these videos you all help make it worthwhile watching them, God bless you all and have a wonderful Christmas and an even more prosperous 2023! These videos are INCREDIBLE, and a real education on how you Americans build homes. I'm in the UK, and timber- or stick-frame homes are VERY rare here-they're 99% brick/block, or reinforced concrete. But it's fascinating to watch how quickly homes in the US and Canada go up, with much more work for carpenters. I've worked on lots of RC frame buildings by erecting formwork, but this looks FAR more fulfilling 🙏🏽🔥💪🏽📐🔨

Congrats on all you good work while documenting it all too! Update now that I've finished: killer job! That place is stunning, and I'm amazed at each turn where you tried to do as much of the work as possible. Serious craftsmanship right there. Great colors inside and out. This is the first video of its kind I've watched all the way through and really took away good points for building. You guys are inspiring and looking forward to seeing more.

Incredible video, I know zero about putting nails into wood and then expecting that wood to stay where I left it, your work is immense, for a guy that lives in a remote location in Scotland where we build houses in brick and concrete block with concrete floors mostly this is a superb insight into how alternative construction methods are being utilised to produce a beautiful home.
