  • Part 2 of LS swapping the 69 Camaro. As usual nothing is going smoothly!
Thats just how it goes when working on these old cars and completely changing the drivetrain.
    But, will we win?

I have came across this issue before how I tackald it was to get an after-market cable which was much longer . It went through the floor hen looped around and then fitted up to the trans no worries worked like a treat.👍

As usual your vlog is very informative, what you may think is rambling is actually very informative to us LS swap novices, sorry to hear about loosing part 1, we would have loved to see and hear it even if it was a voice over 👍

Much appreciated. I try to keep the talking to a minimum unless it's swap talk

You had the starter right the first time lol, cause the open side goes against the flex plate

Same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago when I bought a new tailshaft housing for my T56. No threads for mounting the shifter.

On your recommendation I bought a Chinese knock-off 302-1 oil pan off of Amazon. I was a little disappointed when I discovered it didn't have a provision to mount the oil level sensor then I noticed that the real 302-1 doesn't have one either.
I hope you discuss how to modify the harness to trick the computer into thinking it i there at some point. Thanks

@@MichaelSmith-wb1es Thats never something that is used in a swap. As far as I know, theres no harness that uses an oil level sender.

Could you put the link, from Amazon, where you got the wiring harness for the LS swap.

Without using the neutral switch on the trans. Does the computer still read it's there. Or is that something you turn off in the tune. And i have my engine transmission and harness from painless proformance. I know where the wires plug in. Can you do a video and show how to wire the harness to the car.

The factory neutral safety switch is never used in a swap. Old cars typically have their own neutral safety switch in the key harness. I have a video on how to hook up a harness, but I'll also do it in the next video of this swap.

Thanks for your time and information. I'm also thinking about buying a 93 or 94 4l80e will it work with a Ls swap. It's a rebuilt transmission. Was wondering if would work before buying it.

@@dondrerose6821 Yes but its not an LS based transmission so it won't have a bolt hole at the 12 o clock position on the bellhousing. Also, I believe with the 4l80es from 93-07. They all take the same torque converter so you should be able to take a torque converter out of a later model 4l80e like an 01 and up, stick it in your earlier year model 4l80e and be good to go but best to research that more just to be sure.
