Just want to point out, i’d recommend using a harness bar if you’re using the 4pt harnessed. saves your back from injury of it pulling down, rather than pulling rearward incase of sudden stop. Deadly ride otherwise!

I have a 69 RS/SS 454 and after I blew the head gasket thought about doing an LS3 swap but it was easier just going with a GM ZZ454 since it bolted right up to the 4 speed automatic.

I’m surprised there are no comments from any tuners here but I guess they want $ for their secrets. The car is awesome. I’ve had 1 1st Gen Camaro, a 1968 Z/28 I drove while in College in ‘74 and have had several 2nd Gen’s including new Z’s I ordered new in 77,78 and 80. My current Z/28 is a 1970 which I bought from the orig owner in 1981. All Z’s were/are 4 speeds.

@@ClassicOctane okay then that begs the question of how fast it was going on those pulls (I. E. 0-60, speed you were hitting that quickly, etc). I ask because I'm considering going with the crate LS376/480 (the 495hp one) but I don't want to have something completely uncontrollable or outrageous.

Okay I'm a new subscriber and I may have come up with a solution for your low point in your exhaust what if you got a hold of some oval / oblong exhaust tips two for each side and you welded them together at the oval / oblong ends that way you would have 3 in coming in and 3 inch going out you see what I'm saying here buy welding the two oval / oblong ends together you would create a flat spot without restricting your exhaust like if you reduced it to a 2in pipe
