    Any well rounded players should love the chance to play with Luka. He's double-team blitzed more than any player in the NBA, and he's great at passing out of double-teams, which leaves them with the ball in their hands a lot in 4 on 3 situations. This already results in a ton of open threes for Luka's teammates, but it would be unstoppable if Luka was passing to another consistent three-level scorer who can also playmake some.

    The problem with the Mavs is that they aren’t that far away from being a championship roster.. They need a defensive player who can play off ball like Dejounte or Siakam and a decent center like say Nurkic. But the problem is they have so many bad contracts on the roster, it makes getting players like these almost impossible - THJ, Bertans, McGee, Powell. The other players - Wood, Dinwiddie, Reggie, Maxi, DFS, Green, Hardy are really good players for their contract. So when Mavs fans say Luka needs help, what they are really saying is find a way to dump bad contracts and go over the cap to sign solid starters as opposed to an all star player. Giannis has solid starters, Tatum has, Steph has, Booker has. It isn’t too much to ask.

    I agree with Spence. I don't rock with these ppl who says that Dallas should do something asap to bring someone to help Luka. I always feel that Luka is so much OP that the disparity of him and his teammates are too far and it makes it feel like he's a lone Maverick. Some ppl always demand superstar or star caliber player that is closer to Luka's level so it can be legitimately called "help". I know this is not the squad Luka needs but I don't agree with the "bring someone asap".

  • @timometsanoja9666
    @timometsanoja9666 Před rokem +3

    The Dallas has a solid team, but they do tend to slip a bit in the playoffs... Exasperating the Luka "alone" syndrome. Luka has help, but they need to do their jobs better in the playoffs and it is the million dollar question "can the current team" reach this level or do they need new players to move up. And putting just anyone with Luka isn't going to be easy. Christian Wood seems to be working well. Dinwiddie is still a nice piece, but he is one of the people who needs to tough it up in the postseason. And if you get another star caliber player, will you have enough money to fill out the roster or will you find yourself where the Lakers currently are? Couple of stars surrounded by g-league players? Cause it certainly won't work especially in the long run... Dallas is in a tough spot. And you wish to get better to keep Luka invested in staying with the team... It is really tricky and there are so many options that could or could not pan out. There are no sure things and that is what makes the roster building in the NBA so hard. You have finite resources and limited time and there are so many variables that there are no sure things.
    KP and Luka was already on paper a really good combo, but it didn't work at all... I still don't know if it was Luka or KP or Carlisle who couldn't/wouldn't make it work. But on paper, those two in a pick-and-roll is a complete nightmare for any two defenders...

    Guys like Luka and Lebron are kind of hard to play with. Obviously they are amazing, but its hard to get in to a rhythm while you have to watch a guy dribble for 22 second every time down the court.

      go look up the percentages close to rim, you'll find my boi third behind bully ball Zion and LeBron. Now look at the FT attempted and made, where Luka at? Next time you open your mouth or have the need to type, please think twice or inform yourself before someone who actually watches basketball throws facts at ya from A to motherfucking Ž. Do me a favor and look up how many Free throw attempts and makes Jordan 86-88 had, Kobe in 2006 had and Harden 18-20 had. It is actually the opposite of what you said. He fights with the refs for each call, they reluctant to call fouls on him even when they are evident, because even referees in europe despise him for being vocal and arguing a lot. I know a Slovenian referee personally who admited not watching Luka because he annoys him. I get it it is not your fault that you have basically zero intel on this topic, but why then type that bullshit?
