“Meanwhile Ben Wallace has two headbands around his ARMS” 😂
Ben Wallace with 2 headbands on his arms is hilarious 😂
lol
Thats ridiculous
He always had 2 on that's nothing new
And true ahhaha
They weren't actually headbands but he's not lyin
The D Rose and Joakim Noah days were so good it almost hurts to watch these and hear Noah talk about it. It was such a special time the special players with only injury halting their success
How good were they(only started watching nba 3 years back)
Completely agree.
@@XabzintheNBAGuru they were headed to multiple deep playoff runs/possible championship series appearances. They were that good. Injuries put the lid on all that.
More like LBJ in the way… injuries or not

I remember running into Noah in NYC tryna get into a club. I was the only person who recognized himwalking by, he saw me see him and just put a finger to his mouth to signal not to say anything 😂 I just nodded and acknowledged him with a thumbs up haha. He was playing for the Knicks at the time. I was surprised no one noticed a man that tall but he had a Hoodie on so I guess people just assumed he was a random giant man 😂 Glad to see he's doing well
That is so damned cool man, Noah mobbing through the city with the hoodie must be a sight

He did
💯💯💯One of my all-time favorites….regardless of skill
Infectious energy. Similar player to draymond green imo with the passing
I was a Detroit Pistons fan, and I never seen that heart since Ben Wallace on the Pistons.
I always had respect for Chicago's team in that era. Unbelievable the injuries or whatever caused you
guys to literally lose probably 2 titles you never got......but should've.

Ahead of his time? 🤣 how . He was just a hustle guy there's been hustle guys since the 50s

It always bothered me he doesn’t know how to pronounce his own name
His honesty and candidness has always been refreshing... He deserved the treatment he got and his career took off afterwards. Btw those Florida teams were great!

Joakim was a great Basketball player. When I was young I saw his father on a practice court in Miami. Yannick Noah was probably one of the best athletes I saw in person. The way he ran and jumped was amazing. Looked like he was flying on the tennis court.

Joakim Noah was always one of my favorites. SO glad to see him around still.

Noah's been one of my favorite players since his college days. He was a competitor and played hard.

Used to run a bar in Gainesville he came to often. He was always nice, smiling large, and having a good time.
Never bought less than 10 shots at a time (appreciated his friends) & Always Tipped well (good to strangers).
Side Note: Back to Back to Back Championships that year at UF (football & basketball) kind of does that to people. I can’t begin to describe the feeling in that town other than to say it was truly magical and damn nearly everyone was in a similar vibe to Joakim’s natural dudeness.

These guys are best from their town, high school, college. Get drafted and then still have to scrap for playing time. Crazy how good these players have to be. Have to be Ben Wallace mentally also...
Derrick Rose and Noah deserved a ring.. Those young bulls let it on the line every game. I misse them playing together 😭

first time seeing the podcast. Enjoyed quite a bit. Noah was always an Enigma for me as a fan. He got on my nerves and this and that and then all the sudden I realized something. He is the WORM. He is MWP. That dude you hate and call a hack when you play against him but love to have him on your team.
"Ben Wallace is our captain and hes got two headbands on his arms"
Respect to you Mr. Noah from one of your fans.
Jooks always been my fave!! True grit!! A lot of heart in and out of the court!
I remember this whole episode cuz I used to post religiously on sports message boards at the time, the narrative that was developing was that he was immature, a bust in the making, waste of a draft pick etc. My argument in his defense back then was that he was limited offensively but his presence in the lineup had a noticeable impact on the game, safe to say that was a minority opinion. Obviously he went on to prove himself, he was a huge part of those Rose-era Bulls teams - Bulls fans love the guy.
Noah is the heart of Chicago basketball. Miss that man

I used to hate this dude at Fkorida. Then I watched how hard he played in Chicago and started liking him. Then he stood up to Lebron and I started loving this dude.
As a Heat fan that Bulls team with MVP Rose was special. Sometimes I wish we got to see them in the Finals in ‘11 instead of that stinker we had against the Mav’s. Hated them but respected them too.

His Rogan impression was my highlight 😂😂😂
I remember about 12 years ago there was an interview with Noah talking about education and academia. He said while at Florida the better he played the more he skipped classes. Like it was ok as long as you play well. I guess if he wasn’t very good on the court he would’ve gone to all his classes, hell it was so bizarre.
You’re describing how it’s always been. If you’re a good enough star athlete the college will help make sure you graduate.
If anything, JJ is confirming that Doc is a bad coach 😂
6er fan here. I know we have other problems but sometimes I wonder what Doc even does. It's actually like we have no schemes and don't run any plays. He just sends Maxey, Harden, and Embiid out there for high minutes and says "Make something happen." His adjustments and rotations are super wack. He throws people under too. I swear he's just collecting paychecks still riding on the Boston championship when he had KG, Pierce, Ray Allen, and Rondo. Thibs was the defensive coach too.
I would like to believe most people at their worst haven’t even come close to as bad as what draymond did.
