Lmao 🤣
I figured out the issue with supply routes preferring Naval Bases instead of railroads! The issue is Naval Bases don't work *exactly* like regular land Supply Hubs. So, if you want supply to be more focused on land routes, you'll need to build land Supply Hubs on the SAME TILES as the Naval Bases.
That sucks
thank you for that tip
Dave: CAS spam is so OP!
The US military for the last 70 years: Allow us to introduce ourselves!
29:03 In order to proclaim The Greater German Reich, the last requirement in the list needs you to have full control of all states you own. After having taken all of the Soviet Union's states while also being at war with Japan means that you had a direct land connection in Sakhalin. You can see right over there that the Japanese side of the border is much further north than it should be as they almost have full control of the island.
Saw that as well
Make one 10w army, assign all CAS to it and use it to push, or assign all CAS to all your armies evenly and push.
If you assign CAS or any other plane to an army, it will automatically follow that army. No need to manage them.
Edit: Like you said, it is a little less efficient, accurate via region, the plane distribution is way more efficient.
TRUE TRUEE

I think the reason you cant proclaim the GGR is that it says you need to have all owned states fully controlled. You own the northern half of that island above Japan, but Japan is controlling most of it.
@Kvvmstar I declared GGR a couple of days ago without controlling Paris, it doesn't list Paris as a requirement on the decision. Something else prevented me from getting it for a year or two though, not sure what
I was playing a game last week and I saw the Allies conquer Japan in 1942. They then went and crushed the Axis in 1944 then went to war with USSR in 1945. I let the game run till 1947 and the Allies just couldn't kill USSR's puppets in Germany, Austria, and Hungary but everyone else in the Commintern was dead so I don't know why the Allies couldn't finish them off.
Little correction for 9:14 : The field marshal frontline is done with Z or ""Front line" *and* holding shift while rightclick drawing (as explained in 15:53 ).
There is a field marshal frontline and a field marshal / general frontline:
- The field marshal frontline (select field marshal, then shift + rightclick) does *only neccessary shuffles of units within a field marshalls divisions*
=> useful for stretched and uniform frontlines (like one big country border)
=> Can replace a generals frontline easily if the frontline suddenly stretches (new opponents)
=> adapts to microing fairly good by shuffeling the frontline if you move units away (say, you have a tank division, you can move it within the field marshal frontline and it will adapt accordingly)
- The field marshal / general frontline (select field marshal, then rightclick) does *only neccessary shuffles of units within a generals "span"*
=> The "span" of a general frontline within the field marshal / general frontline can be dragged when using "edit mode" (I found no satisfying way to change order of general frontlines within the field marshal frontline :( let me know if you know one!)
=> useful for more diverse, but field marshal-level frontlines (I'd have suggested using it for the belgium + netherlands scenario at 5:37 )
who cares
Dave, I think it's about time for an Every Single Click USSR tutorial - after all, No Step Back is all about them. And you can't keep *Stalin waiting forever...*

Honestly A.I U.Ks counter naval invasions is some of the best strategic thinking I've seen from the A.I
Feed back exploit yes im here
We need a planes dlc so all the systems get equally inefficent and balanced
Well this aged well
Oh shit, I just realized, you can assing aces to airwings, never did that in my couple of hundred hours of play.
After part 1 i just continued myself. conquered Europe (incl the Swiss), invaded Russia, England and America. After that allies were defeated. Manpower was an issue with 10 width, had to get the manpower from Russia to continue. Had 8 mill losses as Germany :P. So watching to see what could have gone different, keep up the great work!
Nice video dave enjoyed it !
If you really wanna see damage instead of number of missions go into a green battle bubble itself, CAS damage is a number in the top left or right I believe
Can we get an exploit on surface visibility? I got -90% surface visibility in naval battles and I lost 5 ships and I wiped the entire japanese navy
21:31 The best way I found to fix the game from going from capital, to port, to port, to railways instead of using the mainland is to disable transport in the water to block the ports off, then upgrade them all, then unblock the waters so the ports can keep trade and the game will see the waters are blocked off by you and will use the mainland instead to upgrade the rails.
within two months as UK on logs strike in the benelux the German truck stockpile was compeltely depleted. Only 800 cas and 1000 fighters against a larger german airforce
I'm the avg player and it worked for me. Knocked out russia by early 43 with no tanks all trucks and Cas. I did need reg fighters
thanks for making the video!
To keep my reaction relevant to "PROOF CAS spam". The solution is simple, a house rule that you can't build more planes as (by example) 0.5% of you manpower pool. This to simulate that only a small minority of your population can be trained as pilots. In fact this should be implanted in a new game mechanism. Perhaps this comes in a new (airforce) DLC.
Love you feedback 💖
The CAS is stunning but I'm not convinced by 10 width supremacy.
you are supposed to put support arty, signal comp and later rocket support on them and go SF right right. Absolutely shreds. The great thing about 10w is you get so much SA from support arty and are able to perfectly fill frontline considering supply
@@cc0767 nah 25 is way better since you destroy everythink with it its cheap and shreds
@@gamerdrache6076nope
@@cc0767 it is you put 3 arty and rest inf its perfect for plains and dessert 42 is not the best since you need 3 insteed of 2 so its way cheaper and works better on that terrain
@@gamerdrache6076 25 is trash. Use 27 or 21.
Has anyone ever tried to not capitulate Poland? Just a few score before capitulation, stop and just station enough divisions to prevent Poland from taking their land back. This way, you don't have to give half of Poland to the Soviets and when you are ready to attack the soviets, you can just capitulate Poland and refuse to give their share. This way, when the Soviets attack, they are in an offensive war rather than defensive so they don't get the Great Patriotic War buff. There is also a chance that the Soviets gets impatient and attack Poland and the allies.
I can do it but I've been too lazy to play the game lately (by lately I mean the past few months hahaha, I do still like to watch doe).
Just don't take the Molotov-Ribbentov pact in the first place
Like how CAS is so op. Like. You even managed to cap Poland by 1940

I'm sure it's all due to metrics and what you know is too long but some of the guide videos (from all creators) can be tougher to follow given how rapid fire the information comes across. Maybe a good compromise if these don't end up doing as well is having a small text guide underneath? Love the content Dave!
Idk what to day about this..i ve capped 99% of the time allies with 20 width light tanks with close support gun and max soft attack and speed tanks with less than 50k casualties and my inf body was the standard one they give you with one extra artillery piece and some token equipment. I litteraly capped benelux and france in under a week. Ww2 was like done in 3 months including sealion. Cas is great but i think 1936 light tank with close supp gun is just insane and you can do this wirh 10-15 20 width light tank divisions
Why is title one empire cheese? isn't that the title of another achievement?
Woops
Wohoo. Finally the second video that will show my incompetent ass how to finish this scenario lol
Is there any reason not to assign planes to the generals rather than indiviually do it?
Great video, but why ten widths? Does CAS deal more damage to enemy troops with ten widths or something?
Since it is only 10 width, wouldn't some moto regiments help with the speed of the advance? Perhaps even give some overruns?
You should put them on air superiority and interception, that way the ai will not bomb the tile. If you only put interception, they'll still try.
What its the best plane width to airwings? I saw that you use 200 per CAS. Still working in NSB the x3 ratio CAS per CW? I only interested in the saint trinity, Fighters, CAS and Naval. Perhaps Scouts too.
Its more about easy organizing due to AF have 200, 400, 600... slots. Also before 1.11 version amount of airwings changes amount of damage. For example 1000 planes airwing will kill and lose 1-2 fighters a day. But if you make 1 plane airwing 1000 times - you will get just shit info. In one day you kill and lose thousands of planes, so that give you fast enemy plane destruction and anomaly amount of aces that give war support. Then you place this ace on 1 plane airwing and he become unkillable. In 1.11 they nerfed ace glitch and reduced damage for small amount airwing
nice video
Player: needs 50% naval supremacy in a region to naval invade
AI: uses cloaking devices on their landing craft so they don't need supremacy

dave, what are floating harbors?
after nsb a new option for naval invasion with floating harbors appears. on yt i couldnt find anything on what this is.
you can unlock and build floating hrbours just like ships, its in the landing craft tree. When you naval invade your army needs a harbour to resupply itself after landing. When there are no harbours you can use your own floating harbours to get supply. However they can get killed by ships and air i believe. Floating harbours were used after D-day because there were no major ports captured.
You have to construct them with dockyards, then you can make a naval invasion with them to have a naval invasion with supply.
The second "invasion" tech unlocks them. You build them like normal ships and then you can use order naval invasion with floating Harbor (if you built it). Then you'll have fully supplied units if they manage to land on a province without port. Simply said floating harbor is artificial port used in naval invasions that only brings supplies.
@@joegrcz7151 Everyone here only talks about supply but I assume it also works like a port in that you can move units to it over sea?
@@Pow3llMorgan I don't think so. As the the port icon doesn't appear when it's there. (I think so can't verify it now)
when you are being bombed and internal infrastructure is being damaged - is there a way to tell *WHO* is doing it?
Go to the air map mode and click on the region being bombed
Click on the air region
Ya love to see it
I doubt anyone will see this but I just got Hoi4 and it won’t run. I’ve tried going into the game files and running as an admin like everyone says to do but it didn’t work I’ve uninstalled and re installed everything and nothing works. Anyone got any ideas
What’s the best combat width now? I’m read through a lot of the terrain descriptions in game and I can’t seem to find a good one besides 20...
Check second channel videos
Nope, biggest cheese is conquering France with single bat paratroops in 1936.
Why not assign CAS squadrons to armies so they automatically move/rebase with the front?
Less efficient since the AI might stack most of the CAS into one air zone. You'd want green air in every zone and spread your air wings evenly.
It's not any harder to just move them manually.
CAS is meta and I know it but I roleplay too hard and can't live without it. I was a plane dude long before I was a war dude so Stuka spamming just feels to me like I'm giving the Luftwaffe the attention they deserved instead of doing game breaking meta. It was only when I started actually clicking on the battles that I realized how stupid CAS can get and how they're probably responsible for my every victory.

So... ignore infrastructure and spam CAS?
Ah yes, germany at its finest
Which templates did u use?
The 10 widths were so weak they got melted
Yep 10w are weak. BRUH moment
10 widths are fine when you actually use support companies and the right doctrine. I can't tell if Feedback is intentionally being dense here or just doesn't understand what people mean by 10 widths, but this ain't it.
The 10 widths are suppose to have at least support art and rocket artillery while using superior firepower right right to get a 60% boost to your support artillery. It gives each of these divisions between 130-160 soft attack dependent on tech level.
Is there any reason to build fighters if CAS can deal with them?
Deal with them how? You realize cas will never beat fighters in dogfights, if your cas is giving you green air all by itself it's because the AI is dumb and didn't build enough fighters to contest air.
My guy needs to learn the difference between a front line and an offensive line
thats one thing that i hate about hoi4 is the "air zones" in real life plane fly through theses zones but hoi4 they fucking teleport over the air zone
Omg yea
wait whaaaa? i thought assigning planes stacks to generals was the more efficient way xD
Na, ai puts them in areas where they're not needed
I cant help but womder why he dosent asign þe airwings to his armys, he wouldnt need to be constantly microing þem þat way
The automatic plane distribution is very inconsistent, it sometimes puts half of your air force into air zones behind your army instead of the regions where the fighting actually happens.
@@FLUX.2226 ill admit i had not realized þat

I think they fixed the air volunteers exploit.
The best part is that this is realistic, the only reason to nerf cas would be to improve gameplay
CAS isn't the be all end all in mid-20th century warfare. It is a thing, and very important, but can't actually control battles like it can in the game.
Reference point: Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes when GER not only amassed a huge armor force, but launched an entire offensive WITHOUT air superiority tactically or strategically. They were pushed back by allied reinforcements later, allies also struggling with supply the whole time.
Side note: My great-great uncle was killed when his P-47 was downed by ground fire in Dec during the Battle of the Bulge. He had around 120 combat missions, 2 aerial kills (both FW190s) and more than 400 ground vehicle, and 3 train kills confirmed on his record.
@@fortusvictus8297 first of all, o7 to your great uncle

what kind of map mod are u using?
He isn't
👍👏
It means ALL states in the world
full cas is not optimal, use tactical bombers. they may have more IC but they have more agility and can bomb britain in one go if you are playing online
how does a tac have more agility?
cas vs tac
1936: 35 vs 20 agility,
1940: 39 vs 30,
1944: 44 vs 30
Wait, can naval superiority be achieved purely through CAS?
No you will still need ships
Why does he 200 stacks? I heard its somehow more efficient, when you stack Planes by 500 and 1000 Groups?
It's not. You can only have 3 planes per combat width in the battle. So a battle with a width of 120 can only at max support 360 planes.
once i did 342.6 cas damage
The game says the generals get 20% less XP if they're overstacked. How does that work with "he'll get it significantly quicker because he's overstacked"?
20% less but with 7 armies instead of 5. It's 80% of 7 is 5.6, so you get still a good 10% more XP while overstacked.
@@12gark Good point. I didn't think it all the way through.
