i’m so happy you’re speaking so highly of this car. it’s beautiful, and the highest trim offers a TON for the price point considering it’ll last you 20 years. there’s bunch of car reviewers on youtube who overlook the value of the camry XSE, and a lot will nit pick on it for no reason.

Hey thank you for your comment! I agree with you. Most car reviews (and I get it) but most people that review something doesn’t own it. They just show you the product. Some of the questions get answered. However, I wonder about living with the automobile they purchased. That’s where and when you really find the helpful features and things you have or don’t. Really start to show themselves. I believe some of the people reviewing cars/trucks/suvs are payed to say the things you hear. I have lots more questions and wonders about what really makes something for what it is.
Again, thank you for comment and stopping by my page! Lukas.

Automatic high beams will be a huge annoyance saver if you ever drive at night on rural 2-4 lane Texas highways. What it does is automatically detect when a car is oncoming and turn the high beams to low, and then back again. How is that a dumb feature? I mean sure if you always do your driving in the city you wont need it...but when you do you'll be very happy to have it. Rural highways are VERY dark and high beams are pretty much mandatory to see deer, wild hogs etc crossing the road at inopportune times.

Understand your point, however I’m the one driving the car in the city. Not someone else. Toyota can’t make everyone happy. I don’t live in a area with dear. I highly doubt someone driving in the country would be driving a Camry. Guess I’m wrong, car dealerships could have a thing where they ask what you prefer. Not what some one else believes what you might need. Still dumb, the car auto manufactures should be asking the customers what their needs are. Not based off on assumptions. We could have this conversation back and forth. I’m one of the ones that is paying for this car features, not someone else telling me what they might assume. A waste of tech that could be replaced with something else that is more valuable and makes more worth my while. And besides, if I lived or worked in another type of work of where this might be more useful valuable point. Most Camry drivers don’t use this. I’ve been asking around. And so far, no one uses this.

@@lukasfoster7515I live in the city and I find myself driving on rural/dark roads when I travel to other states or go on road-trips so it’s a good feature to have and eliminates an annoyance of manually turning on and off high beams or accidentally blinding oncoming vehicles. Car dealerships can DEFINITELY get you what you prefer, you just HAVE TO ASK, even with Toyota’s. Don’t buy what they’re trying to sell you first (unless it’s perfect and meets your requirements). With Toyota, you can tell your salesman what packages and accessories you want your car to have (ex. Panoramic Roof, Ventilated Seats, Heated Steering Wheel, USB ports, etc.) and they will let you know when they have an exact match or a close match on their next allocations. If you secure a car before it’s built or early in the allocation phase, the salesman can put in a request to Toyota to have the Port Installed Options (PIOs) added/removed to what you want (ex. USB ports) and it will MOST LIKELY BE APPROVED. However, Factory Installed Options (FIOs) CANNOT be changed. I’m waiting for my Camry XSE Hybrid to be delivered and my salesman put in a request to add the Integrated Dashcam, Trunk LED Bulb, All-Weather Floor Package, and Dual USB Ports and it got approved in a couple of days. He even put in a request to have the PAINT COLOR changed from Calvary Blue to Ice Edge and EVEN THAT GOT APPROVED by Toyota. So you can definitely get what you want as the customer, you just need to ask for it and work with a salesman that’s wants to provide you the most value.

Beautiful car! I had a 1993 Camry XLE V6 that I bought new back in the day, and I absolutely loved it! I hit a deer in my Honda Civic a few weeks ago, and I'm waiting to hear back from my insurance company if they can fix it or not. (There was quite a bit of damage as the force pushed a lot of my engine parts back). In the meantime, I've been researching cars, and I pretty much have it down to the Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring or the Camry XSE. I guess I need to drive them both here pretty soon.

I have a 21 4Runner, and I love it. However, it has good value along with not so good fuel economy. At this point, I have realized I am not going to utilize all of its capabilities, and maybe should sell it while it is still worth a good penny. I have always liked the Camry, so I took the plunge and ordered one. 2023 XSE AWD wind chill pearl with black roof and red interior. I am excited for it. Hey Jeff! Thank you for the comment. I agree with you, the 4Runner is a great value. I just wished the 4Runner I had - had more of the options that comes with it. Considering mine was just a basic stock with nothing, I felt like I was putting more into it than I was getting out of it. And the gas was just eating me alive.
It sounds like your 4Runner was much nicer than mine was. 😂

    • @lukasfoster7515
      @lukasfoster7515  Před 5 měsíci +1

@DU30DU30 Hey! Thank you so much for your comment. I get asked this question a lot. So for me, it all depends on how I drive and what option of the settings I choose. Eco is good, which I prefer a lot of the times. Here lately I’ve been driving in normal mode. Sport is good for moments when you need it. I think what eats up the fuel economy is the remote start. If it’s hot or cold out it’s nice to use, but it does make a difference. I do my best to drive conservative so I’m making up the difference. And I also have a long commute to work. So I take the highway in the am. I go back in forth. So my Camry system doesn’t have consistency. I’m getting over 400 miles on a tank it’s pretty close. And that’s, usually 13 to 14 gallon tank. Hope that helps.

If a dealership that puts all these unwanted extras on their cars ends up having what I want...I refuse to pay for any of it. The blackout package looks real nice on the silver and white Camry too. 👌

I bought a 2024 Camry SE in ice edge. I have always owned hondas. First Toyota. I really didnt know anything about the trim levels. It has heated seats and steering wheel which I wanted. Believe it or not friends of mine said they never would have bought it without the push button start. I didnt even think about that! I did have a remote start installed and it works with my key FOB. I didnt even test drive the New Hondas because I have read bad reviews about the turbo engine. Anyhow.. I am not really sure how I feel because I wish I understood the trim levels. They had this at the local dealer. I needed a car quick and thought it was nice. I feel like I am having a bit of buyers remorse and I hate that! Its a nice car and fun to drive but I guess I wish I would have looked around a bit or researched the trim levels.🤷‍♀️

Hey thank you so much for your comment. I completely understand where you are coming from. I thought I’d did all of my homework about the Camry, and long behold there was a lot more than I didn’t know at the time. This whole process has been a big learning one for me. I feel as though I should have bit the bullet and gotten the drivers assist package. But considering I didn’t put any money down. That is where it hurt the most. My 4Runner just got too expensive at the time for me. I needed something more efficient, the Camry has certainly marked and checked all of those boxes for me. I’m happy about your new purchase. How long have you owned your SE?

Good, informative video from an actual owner. I am trying to decide between a Camry, and a ‘23 Accord EX. I am leaning towards the Camry, though. Two questions, though….Do you find those leather seats comfortable? Also, with the Camry’s low profile, do you often scrape the bottom of it, over driveways, speed bumps, changes in road surfaces? I know you obviously have to be mindful of parking, and not getting too close to that curb/fixture or whatever. Thanks in advance!

Recently I rented 2023 Camry LE at night and didn't notice until the next morning that there was a very slight bend of the frame behind one of of the front wheels. With it being low profile, I assumed the previous driver probably drove over a curb and hit the frame and because the car sits so, it probably didn't take much to damage it. . Thankfully the rental car company didn't notice the bend when I returned the car or I would've been fighting them to determine who was at fault. I have never seen a car bent like before. I don't know if the XSE and LE have the same ground clearance but it is something to be concerned about if you decide to purchase.

Hey! Thank you so much for your comment. I honestly believe between the Honda accord and the Toyota Camry you can’t go wrong. I’d test drive if you can the both of them, and see what you prefer. As far as the leather seats go I’m enjoying them very much, and yes! They’re very comfortable. For it being a Camry. It fits it well. So I have not as now scraped the bottom, or bottomed out. I stay away from the bad roads. And I make sure I park where I don’t have to worry about being stuck. The only issue I have is measuring how close I am to the curb. Don’t wanna scratch my wheels. It does scare me. 😬
Also, I was driving around today with the sunroof open. And while I was going about my day, I thought to myself. This is sweet! But I’d hate to be stuck or my car being somewhere when it hails big. That would suck so bad! Fingers crossed 🤞 that never happens.
Let me know what you end up purchasing.

No pulling to to the left or right! No funny noises. Keep in mind I didn't notice it was damaged until the next morning. I didn't notice any differences in the drive once I became aware of the damage. Strange choice to get the XSE and spec the colors on it like a fleet car. The XSE trim gives you the chance to make your Camry desirable for reasons other than just practicality and reliability. The all white exterior with black interior makes it look like a base model unless you're looking at it up close in detail.

The transmission runs great for me. I definitely can feel the sportiness with it. In normal mode the car runs good. I don’t use eco mode at all. It limits you way too much. (I understand why) but between sport and driving normal are so far the only options I use. Something I noticed when having the sport mode on, when I went to turn when the light had turned green. The steering was very tight. I’m gonna try it out more to see if it keeps doing it. I’m curious to know why.
