Great video Mark. I retired at 38 and here in Philippines for 3.5 years now at 54. Looking at life now and looking back. Yes I might not have a big pension like others that worked until 65 or 70. BUT, I had and have my time that more valuable than cash or a big pension. I had time, with my kids everyday, school events, etc. I made the best decision! Don’t wait, Mark is right

I just love this content. Moved here in 2013 and had mental health issues for over 20 years. Never thought I would find love and in my 40's I was just waiting to die. Now 10 years later I am still with the beautiful woman I moved out here to be with and I take no meds, I can go places and do what I want. My life here has less stress and I am happy. I m not rich but we have bought a home that we plan to renovate and our longer-term goal is to get a 1000sqm lot and build a single-story house with a large garden for Jen. Hi Mark, I’ve been coming to the Philippines since 2001. The people living on the streets, the never ending poverty is something that always strikes me as very sad as the government don’t seem to be helping the people. I help run a charity in the UK called Worthing soup kitchen and every Sunday morning we cook full English breakfasts and hand them out to the homeless of the town. You should do something similar, even if it’s once a week. The act of giving makes you feel good. Have a great day! 😊

Really good talk! Sometimes some of us need a kick in the butt. I agree at some point you need to just do it and make the move. The hardest past is retiring/quitting, getting rid of your stuff, set up all the necessary financial things. Once you get there all that stress will be gone, and that is when the next chapter begins.

I just turned 70, but I'm not desperate or burned out. The good part about delaying Social Security is that you increase your benefit and I'm going to need it 20 years from now. That goes double if benefits are cut to keep the system solvent. I work in a retirement community and I see people who are in their 90s and above. Some are in miserable shape while others still drive and take care of themselves. It varies a lot. I hope to meet up with you sometime if I decide on the Philippines.

Great inspiring video Mark. Thanks. And true what you say. You don't know what tomorrow will bring. I suffered a stroke 4 months ago. And I was in excellent health. Non smoker, non drinker, exercise fanatic.. and BOOM! Just like that. The good news is that I recovered completely. A miracle really I have a second chance. But to further illuminate your insight about guys clinging on to jobs they don't even like because it provides them with the only kind of social interaction they have in their lives, I actually went back to my own job, and for just that reason. After a stroke that dang near killed me! Such is the power of habit, repetition, and also of course, the fear of trying something new. Venturing into the great unknown. I am trying to break out of that pattern, and video's like this one do so much to aid me in that process. Hope at 68, it's not too late!
    Thanks again Mark. God bless.❤
