“Hello there” “hello there?” This is getting out of hand now there are two of them
Shadowolfmc7 there is actually 3 of them, the first “hello there” was in a new hope, the second was in Revenge of the sith, now this one
PINEAPPLE studios i meant two Kenobis
Shadowolfmc7 ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh. ok 👌
“Don’t I know you from somewhere?” HAD ME LAUGHING 🤣😂🤣
And grievous and also Anakin in TCWS
"Hello there."
- Alec Guinness
- Ewan McGregor
- James Arnold Taylor
- Jamie Costa
May the 4th be with you!
It was such an honor to be part of this as an “actor” and producer. Thank you.
You were (are) AMAZING
Jamie Costa happy Star Wars day!!!
You were phenomenal! You guys need to do more stuff!!
Incredible work and quality!!!
@@JamieCosta : I'm late to the party as I just found your film and had to immediately watch the BTS directly after. This was an amazing effort. It'ts the best of it's kind that I have seen thus far. Excellent job... everyone... and your performance as Obiwan is spot on. Congratulations!
The fact that you got James Arnold Taylor to star in this video makes it even more awesome. Two Obi-Wan's for the price of one short film.
My mind was blown!
The exchange of Hello there’s and the don’t I know you from somewhere got me! Also the Jedi mind trick didn’t work on “Leegus” JATs character bcuz hes also obi wan 😂🤣
J.A.T. "Thanks from a guy who spends most of his time in little padded rooms talking to himself..." And he gets PAID to to so! ROFL!!
Shot in a few days and it's still better than Disney SW Trilogy.
but not on par with rogue one but in the same vein. Rogue one is a big budget fan film which turned out to be as good as any of pre special edition 4 thru 6. i think the excitement of 15 years of no star wars vanquished many perspectives. the prequels were CGI marvels but what else.
I don't know how 5 million people can watch the film, yet only 20,000 watch the behind the scenes. THIS is what it's about. Thanx for making this film, and this bts -- all just awesome.
Forty years ago, everyone watched "The Making of..." television programmes because, together with the special issue magazines and interviews, they made everything more real because although you knew it wasn't, the effort put in made the whole greater than the sum of its parts.
James Arnold Taylor was part of this? Now that's amazing.
May the 4th be with you Jamie and everyone else!
Even though we're all facing hardships at this time, thanks for still uploading behind the scenes. Happy May the 4th everyone!
I had such a...unexpected reaction to your guy’s film. I’m 6’4” and 230lbs and I was brought to tears. When obi wan ignites his lightsaber, the music, after being so close to throwing it away and leaving. For a brief moment this film brought me so much joy and that same feeling when you’re a kid and I can’t thank you enough. You all did such a great job. I don’t cry at funerals and haven’t tear’d up in years. Thank you thank you. It seems silly because it’s just a film but it’s something I just can’t explain and thanks to all of you! You got as close to perfect as anyone ever will. Eat your heart out George Lucas and Disney. This is how it’s done.
I'm so impressed with the music. Super Star Wars-y, but with a personal stamp. I'm sure JW would give a thumbs up!
I loved the fact they used action figures to map out/choreograph what's going to happen for the big fight scene
true Star Wars fans indeed. 😌👌
@@Vandicoup They weren't all Star Wars figurines, though.
Good lord that child is adorable.
The lightsabre battle with the light going down is a beautiful shot. And you know you've struck gold when James Arnold Taylor agrees to be in it. My heart hurt when he got killed, only because he's a sweetie in real life. But he plays evil very well. All in all, a brilliantly made film, well done ❤️👍👏👏👏
I'm 67 and this brought back some great memories as well made new ones. I want to see more.
I love how (if I recall) James Arnold Taylor was the imperial officer.
I gotta know is there anywhere to find a recording of the main theme from the Kenobi movie?
Here ya go!! Andrew and the Grand Budapest Orchestra really crushed it on this!!! And check out Andrew's work including KENOBI soundtrack on soundcloud www.andrewgerlicher.com
@@JamieCosta MANY thank yous and brilliantly done thank you Jamie!
@@JamieCosta Do you know if he will release it on Spotify? Would be awesome :D
Thank you so much for the link, watching the movie I was so impressed by the music but I thought it was some John Williams composition I couldn't remember. When I found out it was composed just for this I thought how professional!
The final lightsabre sequence with the choreography and music was better than the entire disney trilogy
12:12 thats why we love JAT
This short film brought Star Wars back for me, the Star Wars I knew as a kid. This film was AMAZING! The sets, props, costumes, soundtrack, and acting were phenomenal! Great job Jamie Costa 😊
This got released the same day the making of mandalorian documentary released
This production will always hold a special place in my heart. The friendships and memories from our days together in the desert will always be with me.
You are a major player in this production. I’ll never be able to thank you enough for your energy and spirit you brought to the film. You did some damn good work.
It's May the 4th here, thank you so much for starting it off properly for me :)
Honestly, I adored the whole film and have watched it more times than I would care to admit, but I absolutely love the soundtrack and the "Hello there" moment between two Obi-Wans. BTS stuff is always amazing because you get a little glimpse into what it was like making such a production and (my personal favourite) just seeing everyone on set interacting and having a good time. It's too wholesome!
Thanks again, this "Behind the Scenes" made me appreciate your film much better.
From a follower of classic film, I think that Jamie looks more like a young Alec Guinness with a beard than Ewan does. However both actors have turned out superbly in their roles. I'm right well pleased to see everyone doing their level best to recreate the original Ben Kenobi and avoid any attempt to rewrite the character in some other dreadful "modern" manner like the others of whom we don't speak. Well done, everyone. My hat off to you for your quality and remembrance of the great beginning in 1976 that those currently running the show seem to have ignored.
Imagine if Disney tapped Gerlicher to use this theme in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Would be an amazing nod to this fan-made masterpiece.
Thank you Jamie for this film and all that hard work.
This fan film as spot on and it came out before Disney+'s Kenobi.
19:28 - Tony the stunt co-ordinator's foot gets its starring moment!
I absolutely did NOT notice this while watching the short. I enjoyed Kenobi more than anything in The Mandalorian and I really liked The Mandalorian. Great job to all involved! I hope we see more Star Wars from this team.
Every journey starts with a first step. *You leaped my friend...* we are all proud of what you've achieved
I love this! I'm wondering what the budget was.
May the 4th, be with you.
Thank you for this! The Kenobi fan film was fantastic. It's so cool that James Arnold Taylor was willing to work on it too. The sneaky "hello there" scene was really cool. It was funny seeing the Stormtroopers react to the card trick too.
Star Wars fan films have come a LONG way since the early 2000s. Anyone remember the film that is of a Jedi training? That one is a classic.
Beautiful locations. One of the best fan films I've ever seen.
Personal thank you to all involved in making this. In a tumultuous year such as this one. Bringing something so amazing as this is truly appreciated.
My son is 3 and a half and he can't make K sound just like Audie. He was Lute Tiewater, in Tenobi. And he was cute.
Just brilliant. Loved all the little connection throughout the movie. Loved sensing the passion from the crew. And I gotta say the musical score was just amazing! Well done Jamie and crew. Loved it.
Fun to watch “the making of”. Always educational to see how much work even short movies take to make. Good job team! And it was great team effort.
A great insight into a great production. Well done team. 🙌
we are waiting for the next episode, bring it on
LOVE IT James Arnold Taylor is my favourite actor EVER
These fan films, Han Solo and Kenobi are way more fun to watch than anything Disney has done with Star Wars. Great fan films guys. Thank You!
Thanks so much to Jamie and all for doing this really awesome Disney shoukd hire you guys also James Arnold Taylor!
Thank you for posting this. Made my Sunday night. May the 4th be with you
MAGNIFICENT! So well done. All of you are fabulous. Thank you.
Coming from the FanFilm and absolutely amazed by what you´ve managed to do. Thank you!
My literal reaction when the hello there's happened was "He said the THING!" "*GASP* _HE_ SAID THE THING _TOO!"_
Beautiful.
it seems the future for star wars is healthy and strong and the apprentice is becoming the master. i would say may the force be with you all but its seems it all ready is. Well done now back to work this isn't the end maybe a new beginning.
Anytime you need an AD let me know Jamie. Your films are amazing.
This is absolutely wonderful; thank you so much for taking the time to give us all a look at everything that went into the project.
This is so awesome. Anything Star Wars always makes me emotional.🤙🏼 great job guys.
Thanks a bunch for the short impressions the other night. I would love to watch that again. You are an inspiration in these trying times. We have a lot of things to be grateful for and there are so many good people in the world who bring joy.
This is the way.
Wait.. What impressions?
I am intrigued.
I loved this fan film, I’m in the process of doing mine now!
May the 4th be with you! Congrats on 4 mil views! Enjoyed the video, the fans appreciate your work on this film!
Seeing the behind the scenes is amazing this film truly is a work of art and passion. This deserves to be canon
Shoutout to the Owen Lars actor. He fit the role to a T. You could really feel the worry in him, and the sense of responsibility he had for Luke.
Thank you Jamie. I really loved the film. Also I had no idea you had a Solo film. I'ma have to check out your channel more often.
"Hello There"... I love these guys
Dat score, though. Most impressive.
Just awesome that you guys put this amazing team together and were able to find these amazing locations and pull off a solid looking piece! Nice job! What a dream gig!
Damn well done! "We had a good time" That is how you captured the spirit of the original movie.
This was epic, thx for the behind the scenes. Here I go watching it for the 10th time again😁
Wow! Thanks for your talent and dedication Jamie Costa! Keep the great work! This is the legacy you leave behind...great stuff that makes people smile and live!
God, how did I fail to realize that was JAT? Gonna have to rewatch the film for the eighth or ninth time!
May the 4th be with you, as well. Thank you so much for this BTS video; very cool to see how stuff was done. Love the fanfilm; I would be totally behind another Obi adventure should you ever decide to do it.
I love seeing behind the scenes! Especially since I’m also a Film student, and man do I feel your pain about problems on set. It’s so fascinating to see this stuff. Amazing job you guys! 😁👍
Simply amazing...thank you
This over Disney any day of the week. Keep em coming! Love this!!
Yay I’ve been waiting for this!!
Insane work guys. Enjoying your work from Venezuela!
i absolutely did not expect such a big production for a fan film! Kudos! You guys are exceptional!!!
Sooooo STAR WARS REAL! I've felt like I was there myself. Big HAT OFF!
Thanks for such amazing short film!
EXQUISITE! Beautiful WORK TO all of YOU! Gorgeous music, wonderful talents! It inspires me to do one myself!! May the Fourth be with you all!
I LOVE the color grading on the stills.
The thumbs down was an Imperial.
This is still my favorite Star Wars fan film, and I hesitate to call it that. It has the soul of what Star Wars is, and feels like the reason many of us fell in love with that universe in the first place. Stellar. The location looks like it could actually be Tatooine. :D My little nerd heart is so happy at all of the behind the scenes, and this movie. That solo violin in the score brings a chill and it feels and sounds so very... .STAR WARS. Honestly, the whole thing is remarkable.
I miss being on a set - the times, the blood, sweat, and tears, the laughter, the friendships, and the stories. :) There's really nothing like it. Frustrating at times, but worth every moment.
excellent portrayal of Kenobi and you even sound like him. great work all around
This is the best Kenobi we are gonna get. KK had no scripts, the Mouse even had Ewan ready to film.... and nothing, but I digress on split blue milk.
Imagine the pain of fostering Luke from afar and being reminded that the Empire is always close, ready to close its fits around any one at any time to maintain 'peace.'
Maxine's hair and makeup is such a callback to Padmé ... I loved it.
If Favreau doesn't reach out to expand on this project he's missing out....
I think I'm the only guy that got the 'Pazaak refernce' easter egg callback to Jamie's Han Solo project.
Giant thumbs up to Andrew Gerlicker-really gorgeous score!
So cool that you got James Arnold Taylor to be in it
I knew I recognized his voice from somewhere.
Audie Rick who plays Luke is the cutest kid ever! 😊
He’s the best!
Thank you for making a behind the scenes. It's wonderful to show how much passion and dedication goes into making films. The backstage antics have always been a big part of having dreams of being an actor (even if it never came into fruition beyond my teens)
Salamat! More, please...
Remarkable cast and crew, and a truly great director.
This was a great film, very well made.
Amazing! This Guy Andrew Gerlicher did an amazing job as well. Much better than the score of The Mandalorian. Much more similar to a John Williams score. Sounded more like Star Wars. I don't think I'll be watching anymore Disney Star Wars movies or shows. They need to watch and learn. Keep up the great work Jamie Costa.
For an 18 minute film imagine what these guys could do if they did a full 2 hour movie
Amazing!!!
Man, guys, Star Wars just needed some love. Thank you so much. The force is strong with you.
you guys truly blessed by the Force with that last light moment.
This was an amazing film thank you!!!
Thank you for making this film
Amazing job!
19:42 Wilhelm Scream 🙌🏼 Amazing work, y'all
This is so cool!!!!!! I'm so happy that I got to see this!
Return to fundamental. Thx for this epic movie ! Awesome !!!
Phenom job Jamie. Spot on Obi Wan :D
I truly hope this film sees the big screen and the honors it deserves. Mr. Costa you’re amazing as Kenobi and a doppelgänger for Robin Williams ♥️ Cheers to your success n hope for many future films
