The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

This is the biggest tourist attraction of Hollywood. Millions visit Hollywood each year to see this celebration of the entertainment industry. The first "permanent" star on the Walk of Fame was for Stanley Kramer on 3-28-60. But there's this url which suggests differently:

I think that when Joanne Woodward's star was placed on 8-15-58 there was not yet an official Hollywood Walk of Fame, but by 1960 there was. Myriad websites mention Joanne Woodward as the first star on the Walk of Fame. The Hollywood and La Brea Gateway is featured in this video. Atop the spire there was a bronze- colored statuette of Marilyn Monroe cast in her famous “billowing dress” pose from The Seven Year Itch. But on June 16, 2019 someone scaled the monument and sawed off the statuette. It has never been recovered or replaced.
