When after liposuction should you start massage? Both self and professional? I am one week out and have been just lightly working the fluid back towards the arm pit area and stretching but my arms are already so hard and I wanted to get ahead of it.
I got lipo in my arms, of course, got fibrosis, I’m getting the lymphatic massages and still wearing the compression garments on the arm. Does the compression garment help at all for the fibrosis or it’s just for swelling?? Thx
Hi Kathleen, I had arm lipo about 5 years ago. I have bad fibrosis and irregularities. Do you think massages can help remove them or do you think I have to undergo another surgery to fill out the irregularities? Thanks.
You could always try one or two sessions of massage before you get a consultation for an arm lift. The link to my list of therapists is in my Instagram and Tik Tok bios
Self-massage every day. Have your therapist massage them every time you get a lymphatic massage. Your therapist will evaluate you and let you know how many massages you need.
According to my massage therapist I have scar tissue and we are working on my arms . I have bands in my arms .is this Normal? I'am 4 weeks post lipo of arms.

I would never recommend going against surgeon's orders. Have you read the fibrosis chapter in the Plastic Surgery Recovery Handbook?

Four days after surgery
Should we be stretching? I was told we should or the arms would scar over and we wouldn't be able to have full mobility? not sure if that's true
Please ask your plastic surgeon when it is best to return to exercise. Do you have a copy of the Plastic Surgery Recovery Handbook?

Some textured garments do help with fibrosis!
