When are winners announced?
There are AT LEAST 2 other minivans before the Brubaker
Is “up to speed” taking a break?
Everyone: "E + space or Espass"
James: "Espatche"
Yep, Irish here, we say Renault Espace as Es-pass. Not Espatche
Glad I’m not the only one!! Actually had to pause the video and come to the comments because this pronouncement was driving me slightly crazy!! 😂
Damn that mispronounciation tiggered me. Its a french car, so "hurr lets pronounce it like its italian"
No offense james, but when researching cars, you could at least watch some videos where people pronounce the name of it
It means "space" in French. It's pronounced "espass"
Vlad Marc actually, since renault is French “espace” means space (like having room) because it’s a van

“Espace” means “Space” in French. It’s called “space” because a minivan, got a lot of FRIGGIN space in it!
"Aispatché" ? mdr. Pronounced "acepahss".
I could totally picture James actually using this line.
🤯
This hurt my soul so badly every time he named it wrong
As a French, the way he pronounces "Espace" makes me want to commit a hate crime.
This episode is secretly sponsored by the Disneyland Monorail
I think you mean Ryan Reynolds
Not secretly
And Ryan Reynolds
No, i think it's sponsored by a spanish soup brand called "espaccé" lol

Renault: French car company
"Espace": Probably a french word even if you don't know french

I agree with you on the 350 Centurion! The first time I saw one of those at an RV park, I wanted one. What a great way to pull your fifth wheel! Yeah, the mpg sucks, but a super comfortable way to travel from site to site.
I have a 1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager. My parents bought it new, I learned how to work on cars fixing it with my stepdad, and when my stepdad passed away 5 years ago I inherited it. It has 434,000 miles.
It has Eibach Lowering Springs, Koni adjustable shocks and struts, the complete suspension off a 2007 T&C AWD(bigger brakes and lighter axles/spindles), upgraded sway bars, leather and suede T&C interior, 3 way active stereo with a DSP, 100lbs of sound deadening.
Next step is to swap a 3.0L twin turbo out of a 3000GT VR4, a 5 speed A543 transmission, and the AWD system. Should all bolt right in.

I first heard of Centurion when I saw an 80s 4-door Bronco somewhere in Utah. It was created by fusing the rear end of a Bronco and the dual cab of an F-250. One of the coolest machines I've ever seen.
"Espache"
I didnt know Renault was a spanish company.
That's not even how you would pronounce that word in spanish, it would still be close to the french pronunciation
It sounds like Gaspacho
Es-Pass just like the French that it is.
Anyone : Despacito ? ;0)
The computer Karen voice made me laugh so hard I spilled gogurt in my Odyssey
is it bad i think minivans are better then suvs? like they own up to what they are, and are extremely aerodynamic.
@@Ave_Satana666 not rly, they are more convenient and tend to be more roomy, plus they tend to have a unique story behind the development of them

Thank you for making the minivan video not a lot of people like them. But I love taking mine to the track and drifting it around. 2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager, front-wheel drive with upgrades
I had a mini van, and I loved it. It was a Chrysler Town and Country LXI. It had a 3.8ltr fuel injected V6, leather seats, and an Infinity sound system.

I sold Ford's for about 4 years. I actually told customers that were looking at the Transit Connect for a family van, the Odyssey was way better if you want some luxury, comfort and some performance. Not that many families were looking at the Connect. I'm a Ford guy through and through, but I know family vans are not a Ford strong point. Didn't cost me sales since my honesty always got me referrals.

Why isn't the Toyota Previa on the list? In comparison to almost any other car on this list except the MVP, the Privia actually made it into mass production!
It would have been best in place of the centurion
And Honda stepwgn
No 86 toyota van? 5 spd. 4x4. Come on now..
The Previa is not one to be in a list of the best. It's the greatest van.

The fact that the Previa isn’t on this list is an absolute tragedy
Let’s be honest.
Having a compact mobile home is hella slick.
I wouldn’t mind having minivan
I agree
Editor: How many thumbnails do you want?
James: Yes
There's a cool van that I think would have made a good honorable mention. In an episode of Top Gear the Top Gear crew competed with their Australian counterparts, and at one point they raced worker vehicles. Hammond was behind the wheel of a van, and then got the shock of his life when it took off like a fricken rocket because someone had stuck a Jaguar engine in it.
This is the video I’ve been waiting for my whole life!
What about the mid engine, supercharged, Toyota previa?
With 4WD as an option? Or the 5 speed manual that was standard in the early years?
How about the previous gen Toyota vans that had ice makers in the center console?
@@bryanmarsh9886 that's true
Previa needs its own Up to Speed

Delicas are legendary. They were everywhere all over Russia when i was growing up, and now they're all over Brooklyn haha. Truly awesome car.
In high school my buddy Aaron had a Chevy Astrovan. He drove it every place putting over 60,000mi on it un under two years. The motor blew the rear main seal at a yime when we had a convertable IROC Z in my friend Eddies field that had been wrecked and was totaled. What was good however was the motor, 5spd trans, the locked diff, the Bride seats and an uncracked dash. We also had two extra sets of identical grey Bride seats. It was a lot of work. We actually had to install a roof top air intake vent, mount 4 tiny Honda radiators and electric fans in a compartment we made in the roof of the van to replace the one original. So the TPI 305ci Bow Tie motor with now a 5speed Getreg trans with overdrive sat in the van. The engine cover had hols cut in it with plexiglass put in those holes to show off the ported and highly polished TPI intake, chrome valve covers, giant acell distributor, individual coil packs sitting on a rail system along side the giant Holley 850cfm injectors using an aftermarket Holley ECU system and a bolt on accessory belt driven Paxton supercharger pushing air into the oversize Cadillac STS throttle body.finally that locked rear axle was installed, a tunnel for the drive shaft cut into and formed in the van floor. Most of the suspension parts were taken from and adapted of of a C3 Corvette with custom made 25mm sway bars a d 30mm strut tower cross braces. The limited edition Z28 IROC Z digital dash was cut and modified to fit the narrower body Astrovan. A letter written to B&M about the project got us an engineered shift handle that was 2 1/2 foot tall shifter handle that felt like an ultra short throw shifter and the center trans hump tray from the Z28 was adapted to some custom formed fiberglass added to two more center trays and ran from front to 3/4 the length of the van. That was once all 6 Bride sport bucket seats were installed everyone had a drink holder, change dispenser, trip computer and timer, window controls and arm rest. We painted the van from its silver with silver trim to a Blue/Grey/Purple Sparkle with flat black trim. We altered that pointy Astro front end a bit to make it look more shark like. Adapted the pop up headlights from C4 to the front to help insure it looked like a C4.
Now it looked like a Makoshark C4 Astrovett!
Next donut media's topic: best wagons of all time.
Yep soccer momobile series! 70's and 80's were the wagons, 90's brought the minivan since they didn't want to drive a wagon like their mom, then 2000's brought the suv and Prius because well they didn't want to drive a minivan like their mom, then crossovers because, well, I think we can follow the pattern!
All wagons are dope. Vista Cruiser? Check. Audi S2 Avant ? Roger! E63AMG? Check. 245GLT? You betcha. Aston Martin Zagato Shooting Brake? Duh. Corolla SR5 AWD? Fuck yeah. Valiant 200? Fuck me. V70R? stop, just stop. M43B1? Suburban? Outback? Roadmaster? , Colony Park, 855 T5, K5, Bronco, Ramcharger, Trailduster, Scout, Eagle, Roadmaster, fuck it, Pinto wagon. Vega wagon. Model fucking T wagon bitches! M5 wagon, you know the krauts know how to build em'! This is an incomplete list, but you know what I'm sayin'
@@jamesgeorge6551 And the Stagea 260RS Autech and Crown Athlete V Estate
@@mitchwest6453 For sure. Japan didn't send any to the US, sadly, but I still dig them. We got Maxima wagon, and the older Stanza wagon, probably not winning any beauty contests, but I would roll it proudly, because wagons are fucking dope. Toyota had solid wagons too, but none that blew your hair back. I did some off road adventuring in a Tercel 4WD wagon that had a manual trans with creeper gear in the late 80's, I had an 84 Subaru GL wagon with FWD / 4WD and 4WD LO range, that thing would go anywhere a Bronco II would go, and more than once my buddies would pile in, so we could get a tractor, or bachhoe to get everyone else unstuck.
If the urs2 isn’t in there I will send it back
Surprised to not see the official “Drift Van”, the Toyota Previa, on this list. The rear wheel drive train plus the manual shifting makes it a JDM monster on turns.
Plus supercharged mid engine
Waiting for them to do an episode on the previa.
I miss my 1989 Plymouth Voyager SE turbo! I did a little work to it and made it fun. It wasn't "fast", but it did get its share of "W's" on the street. Plus, it was useful! I loved that van!
My mom had a Mazda MPV and I absolutely loved it. It was spacious, comfy, and handled great. IMO best mini van ever.

I once owned a Chrysler Town & Country mini van, and I loved it. It had a 3.8 liter EFI V6, that would do all of 100mph, all while Rush was playing on the Infinity stereo system.
A minivan was the first vehicle I drove. Love them. We never had a truck so the minivan played double duty so much cargo capacity. Honestly have no idea why more people don't have minivans

Those e350 4×4 Ford vans from the mid 90s to the early 2000s with a 7.3 diesel engine are monsters. My favorite van of all time. Those awd toyota siennas are pretty good too
James is so emotional about cars. I wasn’t a car guy until a hit about 28 years old. I’m 31 now. And man, I get it, James. I would normally make fun of a guy crying about Ken Miles, but I love the passion. We know this means something to you.
Shoutout to Mrs. Etzenfuld, the sweet old German lady at the end of my road who still drives her '97 Windstar and still loves it
I hope she lives for another long while, her house radiates positive energy and so does she :')
"JDM Disneyland monorail " i freaking lost it
9:34 a 95 ford winstar was one of my cars when I was a teen. After my Mercury died I drove a ratty Buick that couldn’t drive up hill, but good paying jobs weren’t available in my town so the minivan is the vehicle that made me a fully independent adult

I'm surprised that Boostedboiz's Honda Odyssey isn't on this list
There isn't any Odyssey left on it, just the outer tin shell. Nothing cool about a regular Odyssey, didn't even have siding side doors which is one of the best features of a minivan. This list wasn't for modified vans

10 best up to speed episodes
15 best NFS cars
15 best initial D cars

Aka
55 corvette with more balls than a lambo
First one sounds quite self-centred
Second would just be... showing regular cars that appeared in NFS games, which is a lot of cars
Third wouldn't work very well, as there weren't actually that many cars in the anime and would mean going through the manga, and, again, it would mostly be just listing cars that coincidentally appeared in this franchise
I can't see any of these working at all tbh
Better idea. Top 10 smol bois what's that? Simple it's a list of the best small cars from Minis to Peels doesn't matter as long as it's small.

That last one, the "Vuck" as you put it, is the quintessential Mullet of the truck and van world.
Love the van content ! Let’s hope vans and wagons appear more often
This top is for MPV & VAN that are actually Sick right ?! OK so i just ask, why these are not included ? Special vans which are rare & unique like : Oscar Meyer MPV VAN - Winner mobile (not sure why it was not included i hear was licensed by Hott-Wheels so that alone should be a cool fact right ?!!) ok.. Brabus - Vito ? anyone taking flights with Lufthansa across Europe in 1st bussinness class must know about those since Brabus Vito are like bussinness - jets on wheels baby.. well ok, obviously pass and move on.. Porsche also had a secret full electric Mini-VAN that was pretty radical but since it was so secret yeah it explains why is not even mentioned in this list since not many people know about it.. but then are the super impressive Ford 's : Transit's SUPERVAN'S presented all 3 yeah Three !!! different generations at TopGear show ?!! So why aren't any of those in this list ? and finally the cherry on top the most recent badass van boosted with more than 1900 electric horses not pnnies : the PRO electric Transit-e super-van (yeah again a Ford) unveil at Goodwood festival this year any-one?.. no one ?!! totally silence in A'murica when is about a Ford ?!! Yeah.. ok got it ! Still though, pity since any could be at least named here as honorific mention.. but i totally get it.. is the Donut show rules.. ;0)
renault espace is pronounced "Espas" not "Espatche" - France car
I wasted many a ricer in my 3.5 liter Odyssey van. That motor screams!
