  • We got two RC racing boats from Banggood. We do a review and then take them out for a spin on a local pond.
    Thanks to Macio for camcorder work!

    I'm very glad you get that very nice boat ,I own couple of months and I'm very happy with is this one .Because I'm cruising always to the sea water in my UNBOXING presentation you will find some useful tips to protect the boat from dust and corrosion

      Yes, I think it was your presentations of these boats that inspired me to get them.
      You do a very nice review. I like the views of the Mediterranean sea as well.

    Those are Li-ion packs, not Lipo. You can safely charge them like lipos. They don't provide the power of Lipo but much safer overall.

  • @edcrus
    @edcrus Před 9 lety

    Also they are only 15C discharge so a 30C pack would provide noticeably more punch and top end. Get you a 30 to 40C 1800 Lipo it will carry it no problem and will nearly double your top end and make it jump on plane.

      Samuel & Luba Brock Thanks for the advice. I have some 35c 2s 1500mah LiPo's that seem to work. I am thinking a voltage alarm would be a good idea when running LiPos because the boat's LVC goes too low for them.

      can i use 11.1v battery in it?

  • @mikeshobbiesandrandomstuff

    these are also sold by WLtoys on amazon for 30 - 60 dollars depending on what options you want.

    • @DaveMerc
      @DaveMerc  Před 10 lety

      Yeah amazon has about everything. What they don't have is paypal so if you want to use paypal you have to go elsewhere.

    Hi, Looking at the WL912 and also the FT009 Speeds boats before I buy one...... Both have water cooling of the motor. I can see the the FT009 Cooling system works by forcing water into the inlet as the boat moves at speed..... Can you please tell me, is this how it works on the WL912 or is there a pumping system on the WL912 that pumps the water around the pipes..... Thanks, Steve

      @DaveMerc  Před 9 lety +1

      steve Boss The WL912 does it the same way as you described for the FT009.
      There is a tiny scoop on the bottom of the hull that forces the water up the cooling tube when the boat is moving. No active pump involved.

    It would be cool to have a rc aircraft carrier and put big flaps on the champ and takeoff and land

    • @DaveMerc
      @DaveMerc  Před 10 lety

      Yup, that would be cool.
      Did you hear anything about the air show?

      @DaveMerc  Před 4 lety +1

      I wouldn't recommend that because it might burn out the power system. If you need a replacement use a 2s 7.4v LiPo.
