this thing broke down at the end of September and im just getting to it now. anyway its fixed and im happy to say there was nothing more wrong with it other than that thing don't like to work forever.
Oil is released from a reservoir into grooves that allow for increased or decreased friction depending how much cooling is needed. This target temperature is determined by the ECU, which is tied to a controller that opens and closes a valve that releases the viscous fluid, thus your "sender". Some of the more modern ones also watch rpms of the fan. Sounds like it's working normally now!!!!
Don't drop that clutch it can damage the radiator. I aways put cardboard between fan and radiator if I'm working on the on a r4045 sprayer. I've changed a couple of them.
Wes im not sure about the electric fan clutches, but I do know the old school clutches. They are filled with mercury I believe and the dealer where I worked as a tech always told us to never lay the clutch down u always want it vertical.
It’s because you had great prices on your yealds got a little more money in your pockets wait till after 24 I know a lot of farmers are cutting back big time this year

But there's very few people as gifted as you are Wesley, great video as always
I’m amazed by how quiet it is. Our r450 is probably 2-3x louder than that in the cab.
Glad to see it was a good purchase, reliability is good and repairs look to be minimal. Though we do miss your ranting on the No Rower! 😁
Very good video!! Thank you.
Hey Wes, they are called. electrical disconnect pliers. or pushing pliers.

The other brands are the same way, its not just Deere
Had to buy a crushwasher for 80$ the other day ! Crazy

With as much shop work as you do I am surprised you don’t build a heated shop.
I miss the wheel of failure.
👍👍
Thumbs up
That tool your looking for is made by lisle tools and if I remember right the part # ends in 90 and a lot of places are sold out of it .
I really would have thought that machine was new enough it would have a hydraulic driven fan
👍
Are you going to do some old tractor repairs this winter? If you have the time ofcourse.
Adam Tanis works for land pro John deere in centre hall pa
The prices for parts is terrible now days. Don't know how some folks will be able to keep stuff running in the future. At some point enough is enough.
I went to school with Adam Tanis great guy his whole family are great people

Why can't tractors and other equipment use electric fans? Are they not as durable in dirty conditions?
I do not know any company that uses electric fans. they do use Hydraulic drives.
