NASCAR Ford F100 Truck LOUD & FAST!

- When you hear this garage built NASCAR inspired Ford F100 you'll probably agree this sounds a lot like our friend Dave's legendary Shelby GT350. It's LOUD but a glorious loud out of that small block 302 and Craig (The Craig 909) built this entire truck at home with his dad which gave birth to his CZcams channel so sit back and enjoy the ride...

Thanks for watching and help spread the word by telling your friends to check out AutotopiaLA! New episode every Tuesday and Friday at 5 pm (pst).
Stoked to be apart of it guys! Thanks for giving me an excuse to beat on this thing again! Excited for what's to come!
Dude love your channel keep it up, would love to see the 67 again if you still have her
We had a blast with you Craig
Ford…cuz GM gave up!
This will make you forget about GM and remember FORD as the 1st AMERICAN car builder!
Way to go Craig!!
I'm so glad people are giving Craig the recognition he deserves.
I appreciate you man thanks !
@Thecraig909, you're welcome, man. Keep up the amazing work.
Serriously bro! Dude deserves it!
now start recognizing the accident he almost caused speeding down the road
@Truck_person womp womp, shit happens. At least he's not in an intersection doing donuts and shooting dog shit dracos in the air.
Love it!!! I bet this one didn't cost 250,000 to build and its cooler.
You know your catching the right kind of attention when autotopia features one of your builds 🤙🏼
Thanks…he got our attention
I’ve noticed a trend here…….small block Ford owners down your way love seriously high rpm! Such glorious noise!
its a ford thing, look at coyote guys! high reving v8s ftw!
Short stroke makes RPM for us 302 guys 😊
The Voodoo does 8250 RPM in my 2016 GT350. Its incredibly addicting to rev a naturally aspirated V8 to insane RPM's
To be fair, for any displacement engine, the way to horsepower is through RPM. And please, don't say "small block" and "Ford" in the same sentence! That was Chevy, not Ford. During the heyday of American V-8 dominance, Ford had four or five different blocks in production at once. There was Windsor, Cleveland (335), Lima (385), FE and MEL. While the Lima replaced the MEL and FE, the FT variant of the FE was produced until 1978. In 1969 they all were available from Ford. And that's only the passenger car ones; there's a couple more that were exclusive to larger trucks and boats. There were four basic sizes from the Windsor to the commercial truck block, with the Cleveland and FE/FT being midsize, and the 385 comparable to a Chevy big block. Even later motors like the Romeo modular, Cologne and Essex V-6s were named after the cities where they were made, not "small" and "big".
@@StringerNews1 I am aware of all the Ford variants . I’ve never heard the term of using small block with only Chev engines. I worked at a machine shop back in the early eighties and small block was a term we used with small MOPARs, Ford and Chevs.
This is the first time I’ve encountered someone being bothered by this use of the terminology.
To each their own I guess.
I immediately knew this was the one and only Thecraig! Love this mean FORD!!!
the moment i saw the preview already knew there can only be 1!
So many vehicles out there have lost their soul….. this is what a vehicle with a soul sounds like and looks like. This is one of my favorite vehicle you have shot Sean!
Definitely has soul
nah the exhaust killed it, its a ford not a ricer
@@Truck_person says the truck person with a 4 cyl s10 xtreme lmao you’re too funny
When I saw the 'thumbnail' I thought that was Craig's beast, what a well built machine!
Definitely a tough truck
Oh yeah, this is the one I’ve been waiting on.
Fun time shooting with Craig!
Me 3
I know that truck!! Excited to see Craig. One of my favorites.
Cool guy and love the truck
then you should know he almost rear ended that poor suv because he was speeding on an active road way
@@Truck_personbros hating for no reason
I’m so happy you featured a guy like Craig! I’ve been following him for about 4ish years now and I just really enjoy how he speaks so mechanically without getting too complicated. He’s all about function and it’s fun to watch!
The best kind of guest.. Built, not bought. Beats it until it breaks, if it does. Because Fugg it, he can fix it if he has to. Love both your channels because your both down to earth.
I recently sold my classic cars to start my own business.. This truck, the sound, the patina, the fact, the fact that he with his dad at home... all that is the reason why I got into these old cars and trucks! Can't wait until business is stable enough to build something again! Props Craig!
Now that's a truck, clean, simple and fun.
Young gun, well done man. This truck f*cks.
Cool kid that gets it
@@AutotopiaLA you and the team rock, Shawn. Thank you!
“When NASCAR was cool!” Couldn’t agree more.
The pinnacle of SBF exhaust tone. From idle to street pulls thing looks and sounds amazing.
So stoked for this episode ever since I saw Craig's truck I instantly thought it should be show cased on this so excited it's actually happenig
He’s perfect for what we do
I've watched several videos of this truck. Awesome to see a condensed, no fluff video of it here.
Yes! I’m glad to see him on here! I love the way he drives that thing. As Vice Grip would say, he gives it the onions!
I always enjoy listening to a engineer talk about their builds, a real insight. Cool truck
Not sure how you’re finding all these young engineers that have a passion for old school hot ridding. Well done again Sean!!!!
I followed Craig when I first saw that video of him taking that bad boy to school in the morning, crazy watching how far along his truck has come.
Been following Craig for awhile now, and this truck is just awesome! Not a crazy show vehicle but one you can drive the hell out of and not worry about a scratch/door ding. He has a ton of talent no doubt. Second I saw the video picture like all the other comments I knew the truck right away!
Craig showed out
I love everything about this truck and Craig's build. I was just going to skip forward to watch the drive, but glad I watched the whole video. My Dad gave me the "Chrome Yellow" '72 F100 with a 302 that I built when I was about 15 with about $500 and some parts he had laying around the shop. Good memories and this just brought them back. Glad I discovered this channel and another awesome video!
There have been so many awesome cars and trucks on this channel, Craig's bumpside is hands down my favorite of all of them. I love that he drives it hard. His channel is worth following.
Sounds like a proper NASCAR!! High Revving Small Block. You got to Love this thing. Good Job @Thecraig909. Very Cool.
Epic vehicle!
The ragged edge of mechanical function!
This is what hot roding is all about.
Thanks Shawn!
Nice job Craig and Autotopia LA. This is one for the ages.
Thanks. Cool meeting and shooting with Craig
Glad I didn't miss this shoot. Absolute badass build
I'm not a ford truck guy at all, but for a custom ride, this is sick. Straight monster of a truck.
LMAO yeah Nascar WAS cool... 😂😂😂❤ Thank you for honesty
Love when he said “when nascar was cool”
@@AutotopiaLA I love your content! Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Started off "not a car guy" look at him now. Incredible build - very thoughtful and he did all the work himself. Hats off !!
DUDE! The Craig!! I love this damn truck!
Uncle Jesse truck with the 2024 twist 😎
I really believe this truck is the best sounding truck in the state of California. What a ripper!
ahaha it sounds like garbage its a ford not a beamer
@@Truck_person damn you might be the only person to say it sounds like garbage 😂
And BMW’s in general sound like trash so I get the comparisons. The truck sounds just like old track trucks/cars of the 80’s. High revving and loud. Might sound different in person but on video I think it sounds great. Black widow mufflers have a high db rating so it’s likely loud Af in person.
@@Fahrenheit_Motorsportsthe pipes on the truck when craig took it to school sounded way better
@@Truck_person for sure
@Truck_person
Open headers sound like death, a proper exhaust makes more power aswell.
I’ve had quite a few of the 67-72 F100’s and they rock. Quite light and loads of parts available. Never felt a need to put a crown Vic front suspension on. The I beam system works great and was around for 55 years. Progressive coils make them work so smooth
That thing boogies 👌 i love builds that are about the experience, not just "lemme try to make this as fast and powerful as possible for my hypothetical 1/4 mile time"
This is so cool. To see Craig on Autopiala with this truck is awesome. I’ve been wanting these guys to do an episode with them for so long
Glad this finally happened
Craig is making it!!! This is so awesome!
Ive been watching Craig build this truck since the beginning, will always be one of my favorite f100s
Hell yeah the craig!
Fun time shooting with him
Craig 909 awesomeness
Been following Craig for years! Very fun channel on CZcams. Glad to see him rocking Autotopia LA.
Yessssss my favorite truck on this planet gets an episode!!!!!
My boy is wicked fast.
Dude! Love it 1000%!
That's a true hot rod truck and the entire 1st car attitude is killer!
Mad props!
I love that truck and the way he drives it
I say it every time, best headliner ever in a motor vehicle 😂
Talk about a flashback video. My first vehicle was a 69 F100 farm truck that I bought from my grandfather (original owner). Truck was a 390/C6 combo. Wish that I had never sold that one. 😢 Mad props to this young man & great vid, Shawn! 👍
Let's freaking GO!!!!! Awsome episode love both of your guy's channel's
Thanks. Cool guy for sure
Love seeing this one here. Such a rowdy truck and impressive build by Craig.
I just found this guy's channel two days ago. Easy choice to subscribe! It's a beautiful truck!
Sean and Craig's channels got me through covid cool to see them making this episode
As a huge supporter of the SBF as the owner of 3 Fox bodies I love this!
Hell yeah,a real driver and real builder.
A 3in stroke, light pistons and good rod ratio is what gives this engine its personality.
Been watching Craig since middle school
(im now a freshmen in college)and he inspired me to build my truck as well glad to see him getting the recognition he deserves
Been watching both of your channels every week for years
So cool to see you guys finally collaborating!
I love this Truck, what a great sound!
Such an awesome sounding truck! Been following Craig for a while on CZcams. So cool that you guys got together for this!! @thecraig909, bring back the mullet!!
these are the best type of builds. not the frame off restos. nothing like honest backyard stuff
And done by a father and son
That much horsepower from a naturally aspirated small block is impressive. Shawn knows how to find the coolest wizards. I love burnouts in an old truck. For some reason they just hit different. I would love to own something like this one day.
I was the guy who won the rev battles in the parking lot, had a 2v 4.6 GT, the meanest sounding 260hp I've ever heard lol. We bought it with stock pipes but it had the mufflers and cats cut out so it sounded nasty but actually sounded pretty damn good.
I only did it a couple times, the teachers watching the parking lot weren't happy with me being it was in the morning, and I was taking that baby to 4-5k rpms. This was like 2020. So everyone has either run down trucks and suvs or 4 cyl run of the mill cars, the competition wasn't very big...
I had a 2000 GT and with SLPs it was the best sound. My 22 GT is a lot faster but doesn’t sound half as good.
@@Fortunes.Fool. not much out there sounds like a 90s 5.0 or 4.6, just wish they made a little more power lol
@@cashMAN62gotta build up the bottom end them you can. My dad had a procharged 4.6 tuned by brenspeed, it was fast and sounded great. I think i got a video of it backing into my neighborhood on my channel. If not ill load it now
The intro to the video alone is fuckn badass!!!! 🔥💨🔥💨🔥
😂🤣 as a dave's gt350 fan. I thought the same. Read "small block killer" then i heard those shifts hitting the damn notes and 1 thing came to mind...
Daves GT350..
Cool Truck. Respect for The Build.
Here we go again......what I call a first... a stock truck......built by a young man with an engineering background and puts it to use right away...... all that technical info goes right over my head.....but I get bits and pieces..along the way that I understand...this truck is amazing and so is the owner....great shoot....
One of my favorite F100s and such a cool dude and does his own work!!
It really is one of the coolest trucks on CZcams. In a world of very entertaining but mostly unobtainable vehicles for most people, this is something a lot of regular people can achieve on their own at home. I always fall back on what a good friends dad always told me. He had 8 second drag cars. Full race cars. He always said he had more fun with his 12 and 11 second toys that the real race cars.
So cool to see Craig on here!! Killing it!! Nice one Sean!
Hi from Australia. All I can say is “God Bless America”. That Ute is mad😎👍
His ute is sick. Being from New Zealand I could only dream having a ute like that down here. But we both know it wouldn't last long with NZ/Aussie police around they would have a field day.
It's still a truck chassis, though we did get an actual Coupe Utility here, the Ford Ranchero!
Man this is one beautiful truck. And that that sound is natures Viagra🤌 Well done sir.
Well deserved attention. Craig 👍 I've been watching Craig's channel for a while now. Love this truck.
Love that he's built it without a full custom chassis under it. Awsome
Dude that truck is an absolute beast of American bad assery. Love listening to that thing screaming through the gears
Been watching this guys channel for long , when i started this was his only project lol.
Dave's gt350 and Craig's truck was the inspiration of selling my nice driver modded 55 Bel Air three months ago. Three days later I picked up a 65 Falcon hardtop. Solid bones with a nice patina going on. All manual car with a high reving small block in the works. This is the sound I'm chasing after.
I have followed Craig for years and all his builds ..... he is always awesome!!
I love the sound of that truck so much I came back and watched the video a second time.
This is by far one of my favorite trucks featured on Autotopia LA the sound and originality of it makes it’s so perfect , my kids are huge fans on this channel, we had the pleasure of seeing another beautiful truck featured on this channel Pretty Penny as we stopped by for some gas in HB California, we had a quick convo with the owner and I mentioned to him I “knew I had seen that truck on this channel”. Hope we get to catch more of these Amazing builds on the road.
By far my favorite vehicle done so far on the channel. That will always be my favorite body style truck ever. Badass truck.
been watching his build for awhile, truck is absolutely rowdy. super sick
Been in love with this truck since the first time i saw it. Craig is so awesome!!
Dude! This thing is F'ing cool, and it is rowdy!!!!!!!!! Kinda bummed you didn't show the engine bay. As always, great video Shawn! You and your team do great work! On of my favorite channels for cars!
We showed the engine…check again
@@AutotopiaLA Color me embarrassed! Somehow, I missed the first 4-5 minutes of this video! Sorry dude! I must have been grabbing some beers. This thing is awesome! Thanks for taking the time to reply and let me know I am a dummy LOL!
@@AutotopiaLA for some crazy reason, it started for me when he was talking about the front end suspension. So glad I went and watched it again! 1000% my bad lol.
@@ryanperry9472 that’s the deal with a premier. It’s like a livestream until it fully runs the first time
That was some wicked wheel hop, surprised he didn't break an axle. Not sure what it has to do with Nascar though. Truck series didn't start until the 90's
I'm a Chevy guy but that is a kick ass ttuck
That loook back to see if theres oil or metal parts flying lol we all know that feeling
2 of my favorite CZcamsr channels coming together!
Another great episode!
Thank you. Fun shooting with Craig
Pissed off little pickup
Definitely
Coolest thing I have seen in a long time !!! Thanks for sharing.. awesome episode Shawn and crew !!!
We had a blast shooting this beast!
THATS A BAD ASS TRUCK KEEP THE RUST PAINT ON IT 🔥🔥🔥
One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen on youtube.
Nothin better than an old truck and true DIYing.
This is a truck that is within reach of the average guy. Fast, loud and way cool. It's not a $250,000 ride built by a team of 4 auto specialists companys. Do more of this type of builds please.
Oh what a truck! I freaking love that
Congrats Craig, was so happy for you when I first saw the news this was going to happen
And a big thankyou to the Autotopia team for making it happen
Love it when two of my favourite channels come together 👌
Man I love this thing.
“lifetime Gm guy”
Craig has lots of cool cars and trucks in his collection.. y'all should do another episode with him and his foxbody mustang!!
wow what a build. sounds incredible
This is the absolute definition of smiles per gallon. If the hair on the back of your neck doesn't stand up when you hear it, check your pulse man
