I remember Sam Kinison doing an HBO Comedy Special just before his passing in 1992. He did the special as a benefit to the mother of Lenny Bruce! When he heard about his mom falling on hard times, he got together with HBO and made sure proceeds from the ticket sales in the theater they used for filming went straight to her! 0:33 Bill silence speaks volumes about the depth of their friendship
We all can agree that reasons like this are why Conan is highly respected and Bill is respected, big respect for Bill because he was helping not just a fellow comedian but a friend and Conan big respect because he knew when Bill was starting to break down he understood that it wasnt about jokes at that moment but serious things
0:13 sec was so genuine. Bill gasp fro a bit of air, he was hurt by this truely this was not for publicity you cant fake that. He probably didnt even know the camera caught it
I think this is the first time I've seen Bill Burr at a loss for words
The realest dude on the fuckin planet, love u Bill!!! Respect!!!
I teared up watching Bill tear up. This is very touching. RIP Patrice and I love you Bill.
Bill is the only person EVER that I’ve heard say “I’m sorry” after crying and that it choked me up even more... so genuine.
conans a stand up guy and you can just tell it from subtle moments like this
Bill is a good guy under it all.
When he wasn't??? The people i trust is the one who tell the truth
Wow this is like the only time I’ve seen Bill super emotional
Class act.
Listening to all of Bill's appearances and podcasts and everything really helps to understand just how much he loved Patrice, most of his best stories are of Patrice, his career was intertwined with Patrice, losing Patrice for Bill seems like losing a brother and for a man that at times can be offensively funny it's so good to see how much heart he has.
I never thought Patrice and Bill were friends Id love to imagine them roasting each other
They fell out and stopped speaking at the end.
@@Ray_D_TuttoYeah, it’s a shame they never got to patch things up after that dust up on O and A about Madcow
Bill sounded like a little kid and could barely even say “money for his mom and his wife”. Man, these two red headed lunatics and Patrice were and still are such a big part of my life. It better be a while before we lose these two
Lol they had Ed Sheehan on too? That must've been the Night of the Gingers.
Hahahahaha Nice!
Bill is a red head.........
WOW! This is certainly a different side of Bill Burr. Much Respect.
I dont tear up when a celebrety dies i care about people but i dont tear up... I didnt tear up when my moms dad died put it to that way.
I dont know why but patrice oneal was a real dude to me. I heard him during the opie and anthony days i listen to that still i watched all his speacials hes the only famouse dude that i fallowed his career watched and heard to everytjing he ever did... Shit i even listen to him on alex jones. So whenever some talks about patrice i get a knot in my throught i guess he reminds me of college and hanging out talking shit with my pals...
He had good and bad advice but always entertaining...
I wish he wasnt gone... Wish i had more material to listen to.
Bless him.
Conan did well there. Lots of other interviewers would've waited & let him get more upset. Respect.
Conan handled this perfectly! Such a great interviewer and an even better guy!
Bills a great friend, never met Patrice but think about him all the time.
Damn. I felt his pain
It's always tough to watch the tough guys choke up. Good man. Class act Conan.
Bill Burr and Patrice O’Neal are two of my all-time favorites.
Bill is a legend. He hung with Kevin Hart, Patrice, Charlie Murphy, Donnell Rawlings and Dave Chappelle. He is a class act to take care of Patrice's wife and mom
RIP Patrice O'Neal. I still listen to him to this day.
When you see a man take that deep breath, you know
If patrice O'Neal saw this he would give Bill Burr a hard time for being emotional.
The way Conan acknowledged his feelings, calmly helped him through without making a big deal when he was clearly struggling and continued to pat him on the shoulder even after the end of the segment. Both class acts and genuine people. Beautiful and rare to see in Hollyweird. So much respect.
You might not ever see this Conan but thanks for taking care of our boy 💜
Patrice O'Neil was definitely an inspiration to Bill Burr. He seemed to really love and respect the guy and was glad to be his friend all while being a fan too
Comedy Central and Bill Burr are now in the process of making a full length documentary on the life and career of Patrice O'Neal.
Wow, bill couldn’t even get a word out. It really shows how much Patrice meant to his friends in the comedic world and how great of a thinker and person he actually was. Respect.
*Eastside Low Bottoms shit !*
Shout out to Billy Burr. I kno he and Patrice and Quinn and a Kevin Hart and a bunch of other guys came up thru the ranks together. These dudes were comedy GOLD whn they got together ! U could tell they've all known each other for a long time because they were BRUTAL towards each other on Quinn's show or id they were on the radio together, especially if they could CURSE ! Patrice O'Neal RIP. I listen to something with Patrice in it LITERALLY every day on CZcams.
There are of course plenty of comedians we wish were still with us. Farley, Williams, and Patrice were game changers. You can find some of the best stories about Patrice from all his friends, and this clip shows he was and still is loved. And years later it doesn’t get any easier watching how crushed a guy like Burr gets.
RIP big man
Taking care of your ppl when you're dead. Now THAT is a true friend and great man.
Imagine leaving such an impact on this world that you could bring Bill burr to tears
Conan is the best host of the post Carson generation
This still hurts man his laugh alone made me die everytime he was a rough man but one you’d love on your side. Rip Patrice only 14 years old but changed many lives.
When bill pauses and you see his hands shaking.... I had a flash back of all the good times they had on the opie and Anthony show and I almost cried. What a great friend. Love you bill!
I never saw Bill like this.. Never.
This give me goosebumps and tears.
