My very first alternate history video. I really do hope you guys enjoy it. Stay tuned for Part 2. Also, the reason that the Alexander the Great video wasn't uploaded before this one, it all comes down to motivation. I see the inspiration from possible history, but I like how you keep european balance of power somewhat intact (a.k.a the mentality of the period) and focus on realism more.
Oh yeah I definitely am inspired by PH, he was one of the people who got me interested in Alt-History about a year and a half ago. Thank you for saying this, mr and my friend spent hours discussing the most "realistic" scenarios

Napoléon II seizing the power in 1830 is quite unrealistic, as he was too young to be powerful enough to become emperor. But he will take the lead of the Bonaparte dynasty and, after the 1848 revolution, become president, and then, emperor of France, as Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte did on our timeline.
Reading about Napoleon the second made me sad as hell. Hes historically a tragic figure.

Napoleon 2, seriously, a more interesting question would be, what if Frederick III had lived longer. Imagine if he died in 1910 having reigned for 22 years instead of 99 days and helped shaped Wilhelm the second up to a more responsible ruler while also institution many of the liberal reforms that he wanted, thus lowering the impact Wilhelm II would even have
I've already seen a scenario with him before, and this intrigued me much more than him. Maybe I can make a video for him in the future
@@Caztrion napoleon 2 was irrelevant and napoleon 3 was just a deletable minor villain. He did what the French are so famous for, rolled over and surrendered the moment the Germans were at the door
@@rphb5870Well of course Napoleon II was irrelevant. He died at 21. The French were completely unprepared for the war, and Napoleon III obviously wasn't a great diplomat or strategist. If the French were actually prepared, and had better leadership, it wouldn't be so one sided.
Other than the Franco-Prussian War, Napoleon III was quite a good ruler. He brought Paris to what it is today, and put in tons of reforms to strengthen the nation. He's very overhated
And saying that's what the French are famous for is hilarious lmao. They have the most victories out of every country on the planet, defined the 19th century with Napoleon, won the Hundred Years War, and many more. They lost the Franco-Prussian war due to them being very unprepared. They had better Technology than the Prussians. And they obviously couldn't stop the Germans in WW2 by the time of the invasion. Saying that's what the French are known for is ignorant lol
If Napoleon II conquered the Netherlands, then OTL Napoleon III could be crowned as king of the Netherlands since Louis Bonaparte (Napoleon III's father) was crowned king of the Netherlands after the end of the batavian republic and was considered a good ruler since he was ready to oppose his brother for the sake of the peoples under his rule.

Don't forget, Napoleon III had a older brother who died in Italy. So had he lived the Napoleon III we know wouldn't have ruled.
There's no way the British would have allowed French annexation of whole Belgium, maybe Wallonia would have been justified. Even so, the whole Prusso-Dutch alliance is unrealistic.
I also have a slight problem with the whole Rhine river thing. It would have been better for the French to break Prussian power by for example restoring Prussian Saxony to Saxony and create/restore states in the Rheinland with economic ties to France. This would have been enough to give France hegemony in Europe without overly antagonising other powers.
As I've already said in a previous comment, I don't try to go for realism as long as it's a fun scenario

@@Caztrion yeah, obviously all alternative history is ultimately more or less unrealistic. This is a fun scenario. It is sad that he died so young.
