I was a soldier for over a decade, but Nick is a lot braver than me for sure. He is a good example of why I find what society as a whole deems "manly" regarding "proper" masculine tendencies is not an accurate measure of a man/person. This guy goes into war zones unarmed without well-trained battle buddies to his left and right to tell the stories of the people in areas other journalists are hesitant to enter. He lays it all on the line. Respect.

Sean is amazing guy. I'm 41 years old and I seen a lot . But I have never seen anything like that. And it's very disheartening because Haiti was one of the places I went on my last deployment and we did hurricane relief. I can't believe what I just saw. I pray đđœ for all of the people there for God to help them get through. Thanks for your time and risking your life to make this series I know it was a lot to take in when you see something like that in person because it was a lot to take in just watching.

I know a young lady who traveled to Haiti as part of a Christian mission after one of the major quakes.
I was obviously very concerned for her safety, but I didn't want to let my fears limit her potential.
She said the most surprising part was the children. They didn't mind that their shoes didn't match, they were very happy they had two. She said these children lived in abject poverty, but they always greeted the missionaries with the biggest smiles. They were genuinely happy.
Then she landed back in the United States where our children struggle with sadness and depression, yet have the best of everything.

Amazing journalism here, brother. As a fellow Caribbean person, I feel strongly for the people of Haiti. Nobody should ever experience such hardship, but to know it's happening "right next door" is especially sad. Maybe one day it'll get better but I'm not particularly hopeful, and it appears neither are they.

Please continue making these. It really helps us know what's going on in other countries. As well as getting a bit of an understanding where and what some new immigrants in Canada the U.S.A etc... went through.

Watching this makes me think about how great full I am for what I have. A roof over my head, clean water and access to food. I wouldnât ever want to go to the places you go but I do have a lot of sympathy for those constantly living there. Thanks for your vids nick

Here in south Florida we have many Haitian and Haitian descent residents. Theyâre always such a pleasure to be around, friendly, and hard working. Thank you so much for this series, itâs really helped me understand a lot of the commentary Iâve heard from them over the years about the situation in Haiti. The country is not very far from us, but the realities of these places rarely get covered in the news. On another note, please visit Cuba. The situation there now is crazy and there are more migrant boats and rafts showing up here in Florida than any time since the mariel boat lift in 1980. The Cuban residents need your exposure, we donât see anything of their struggle as itâs so buried and cloaked by the powers that be. It would be a dangerous mission but possible, as I donât believe youâre traveling on a US passport. Thanks for all you do Nick, truly fascinating work that adds so much value to the worldâs stage. Kinda started feeling the tears welling up this time. Just thinking about this man, Sean. You get to leave with your safety and health. Your loved ones will carry on a normal life. Heâll be stuck there to continue dealing with it. I know if itâs hard for me to think about, it must have been truly heartbreaking for you to leave that man. He seems to be a one of a kind, truly wonderful human being.

Nick of all the series that you've done I could be wrong but I get the sense this is the one you've been most scared/terrified of? As a viewer it comes across that way. Some amazing work you are doing to show the reality of what is happening on the ground. One of the most heart-breaking things for me - usually when you are interviewing the locals they have hope things will get better and are excited for the future. The people of Haiti don't seem to feel this way.

Having a local independent journalist as a fixer usually would seem like a bad idea because it would bias your journalism. But this guy Sean was great, and thereâs not much âspinâ to put on what is happening in Haiti, itâs pretty much what you see. And he showed you, and by extension us, what is happening. I know you are both doing your best to be careful and stay safe, but you've honestly been lucky nothing has happened to you. My parents are Haitian and I visited Haiti with my Mom and tourist group back in 2014, we were chased not sure if they were looking to rob or kidnap us but Thank God and our tour guide and bus driver we made it safely out of that situation. We also visited that cafĂ© you were at and I must say the camera doesn't do the view justice. Thank you for the upload continue to be safe in your travels.â€
