About Sabaton, their singer Joakim Brodén is also the one who writes (most) of their music. So he does write partly for his own (unique) voice.
He and Pär (the base player) are the 2 original members left from 1999. They are the history nerds of the band who do history research and write the lyrics. Pär is also the band manager.
They have 10 albums of which 9 are about war history.
They also have *Sabaton History* Channel on CZcams that has all the stories behind their songs in high quality, 15-20 min. mini documentaries.
They are a great band that does epic live shows. And they are realiable with the history facts.
They are also very nice, funny, talented guys from Sweden.

@@cloudedreactions2578 Another thing about Sabaton, they won't block you or claim a reaction video. They haven't yet at least. Sometimes they even drop a comment to a reaction.

Great reaction, and I hope you continue down this rabbithole. There are so many good songs, and all of them tell a story of a real (most time) war event. They are not that fuzzed about copyright it seems so no need to pause that often. If you wanna listen to some more I suggest checking out Bismarck,Soldier of Heaven, Carolus Rex, Lady of the Dark, No bullets fly or To hell and back. Cheers!

For not having any idea what the song was about you made some pretty good guessing... Watch The Winged Hussars (also Sabaton) next please.

Great reaction! 🤘 For "non-metalheads" Sabaton is more easy to like, because of their melodic songs and the fact that they're singing about stuff that matters. They are huge in Europe! More Sabaton reactions, please!🤘😁 I'd suggest "Bismarck" (official music video. It's about the giant German battleship from WW2), "Steel commanders" (official music video), "To hell and back" (official music video. It's about Audie Murphy, the most decorated American soldier from WW2.) and "Lion from the North" (music video from the Great Tour. It's about a badass king in the beginning of the Swedish empire. The footage is from the the Great Tour in Europe, but the song is the studio version).
For live stuff I recommend "Uprising" (Woodstock, Poland, 2012. Also check out the official music video for that one. Chills guaranteed!), "Swedish Pagans" (live from the Great Show in Prague, 2020), "Night witches" (live from Leipzig, 2020) and "Red Baron" (live from Berlin, 2020). I could go on forever, but these suggestions give you a glimpse of what Sabaton is all about. Greetings from Sweden! 🇸🇪

The 189, are referred to the Switz guard that protect the holy pope of the Vatican city. You can check the music and lyrics on sabaton history channel on CZcams!

I don't believe they're a Christian band, they just used those lyrics cause it fit they're song about the Swiss Guard protecting the pope. Can you react to Charles Barkley making Shaq laugh? You won't regret it

Just to say about the pyrotechnics on stage
In the US the rules are stricter for indoor pyrotechnics
When you have a big concert hall in Europe
    often you can get pyrotechnics.
I think in Europe for example
Electric Callboy had pyro at every gig
but in the US when they toured they had paper canons instead.
I suspect it is a function of each state in the US
    requiring different standards
so you need a a licenced pyro guy for each state
and often you'll only do one or may be two concerts in a state.
So it is easier to do no pyro.

      @cloudedreactions2578  Před 8 měsíci +1

More strict here in the US probably because everyone here are so quick to sue and have a quick come-up instead of letting mistakes be just that, a mistake smh

The “wedding bells” are supposed to be the bells of St. Peter’s Basilica. Good reaction so I’ll let that slide LOL. Although, they broke ground in 1506, it wasn’t consecrated until 100 years later. So I doubt it rang any bells in 1527 tbh.

@@cloudedreactions2578 I hope I didn’t sound like a know-it-all jerk. It sounds funnier in my head until re-read it. I really like your enthusiasm and willingness to guess at the meaning. I’ve always found that if I guess wrong, then learn the answer, it sticks in my memory far better than if I just looked it up. And you mentioned Thermopylae. Sabaton has a song about that called Sparta. I think you would love it if you haven’t heard it already. I didn’t see it in list of reactions.
